Albums With the Best Vocal Performances
Which albums have the greatest overall vocal performances? Which albums make you say "WOW" every time you hear the vocalist singing? I'm surprised nobody has thought of this list yet... that is unless I didn't check thoroughly enough?Looking forward to more works from this amazing young woman. She's a genuine, compassionate human being even more so than a rare example of perfection of vocal abilities.
Ms. Evancho is a voice contortionist. I'm in my late 60s and have heard all the greats. Ms. Evancho has managed through puberty and has overcome challenges from the age of 10 when landed on AGT. When I read her Wikipedia it says it all.
An exquisite voice from an amazing young woman. Fell in awe with Jackie Evancho in 2010 and after numerous concerts still am in awe.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, comes even close to matching Jackie Evancho's beautiful voice and interpretative skills.
Obvious, because he was (and is) the greatest singer of all time. Nobody beats him, not even Jackie Evancho. No way.
She was 11 years old with big dreams that are coming true when she recorded this album. Now at age 14 she is just starting a world tour, and is signed to record by Sony Master works. Her future is as bright as the star Jackie wishes on. She has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.
And just like that, the next great superstar was born.
Astonishing vocals from a young lady with a bright future.
Soon to be surpassed by her new album "Awakening", to be released 9/23/2014.
This album to me is the pinnacle of what vocalists can do when singing on an album. Rob Halford sounds beautiful on this, hitting every note with precise control. Every song on this album is sung differently as well. It's as if Rob Halford is just there to showcase to everyone just how amazing he is. This is also my favorite Judas Priest album and Rob Halford's vocals/singing contribute a lot to that reason.
The most passionate vocal performances I've ever heard and also the most beautiful tone. Very powerful and versatile metal voice that can be very soft and very harsh at the same time. Incredibly well crafted melodic screams.
Try: Path Of Glory, My Last Sunrise, Heaven Denies, Fiddler On The Green, Poor Man's Crusade.
For me jeff is much better than tim, his voice is more beautiful and more powerful, tim has a more concrete voice. Grace proves this, listen Grace, Hallelujah, Last Goodbye, So Real, Corpus Christi Carol, Last Goodbye and see how powerful and pure your voice is.
Somewhat overrated, his father was the better singer and writer.
Since Freddie doesn't sing every song on A Night at the Opera, I'll go with this instead. Bruce Dickinson is easily the best metal vocalist of all-time. Even at his worst (his voice was shot during No Prayer for the Dying) he's still impressive.
The music of this album is also performed in Jackie's second PBS Great Performances concert "Music Of The Movies". See YouTube, Vimeo, or PBS for video clips.
On this album, Jackie revisits and reinterprets familiar songs from well-known movies. In so doing, she makes each piece her own.
Morrison's performance on "The End" all by itself warrants this being in the #1 spot.
Also called "The Comeback Album", which was an NBC-T.V. special, and showed he was still The King.
