Top Ten Badly Dated Yet Classic Video Games

The Top Ten
1 Super Mario Kart (SNES)

Horrible these days, but still classic.

2 Final Fantasy 7 (PS1)

As legendary as this game is, you have to admit that it's really hard to take its in-game art style seriously. At least the remake will obviously fix that.

Nope. Awesome. This is sone of those things that are popular but Gen Yers hate that it's popular so they hate on it.

3 Metroid (NES)
4 Super Mario 64 (N64)

Get this to number one best game ever!

5 Star Fox (SNES)
6 Mortal Kombat Trilogy (Arcade)
7 The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time (N64)
8 The Legend Of Zelda (NES)
9 Crash Bandicoot 1 (PS1)

I love this game, but the visuals are dated, the controls are clunky and the saving system was stupid. Good thing Crash 2 and 3 improved all of that, and those 2 games aged really well

10 Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars (SNES)
The Contenders
11 Pokémon Red (Game Boy Color)

Basically, it lacks essential features added in newer games (like holdable items, natures, abilities and the like) but were still good.

12 Super Smash Bros. (N64)
13 Banjo-Kazooie (N64)
14 Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA)

No, it's not. Sprites are timeless.

15 GoldenEye 007 (N64)

It was great when it first came out, but the n64 controller makes it hard to aim and move at the same time. Luckily, the idea of dual analog sticks fixed that problem.
Innovative, but dated.

16 OddWorld: Abe's Exodus (PS1)
17 Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)
18 Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
19 Ratchet & Clank 1 (PS2)

Cool to hear they'll be remaking it, hopefully with strafing.

20 OddWorld: Abe's Oddysee (PS1)
21 Mario Kart 64 (N64)

It aged more bad than Super Mario Kart in my opinion. Still very fun to play.

22 Tomb Raider (PS1)
23 Xenogears - PlayStation
24 Mario Kart: Super Circuit (GBA)
25 Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GameCube)
