Top Ten Bands of the 1990s With One Word Names

Once again, I'm doing another 90s music list, but this time the bands have to have only one word in their title, and have got to peaked in the great decade that was the 1990s. I'm basing these bands off of their cultural impact and following, critic opinions, and my own opinion.
The Top Ten
1 Nirvana Nirvana was an American grunge band that was formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana disbanded after Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994. The drummer of the band, David Grohl, went on to start the Foo-Fighters, an alternative rock band. ...read more.

Was their ever any doubt? Nirvana became the greatest band of the 90's even though they only made albums for less than half of the decade! Whether you like them or not, there's no denying that Nirvana has made a huge impact in the world today and in the 90's. They're music will last lifetimes, and for a good reason for it...

Most overrated of the 90's

2 Sublime Sublime was an American ska punk band from Long Beach, California, formed in 1988. The band's line-up, unchanged until their breakup, consisted of Bradley Nowell, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh.

Sublime's album of the same name (Sublime) was probably one of the best mash up albums of punk, hip-hop, rock n' roll, with a little dash of reggae. Their songs like Doing' Time, The Ballad of Johnny Butt, and What I Got show off their well executed, controlled side, while songs like Burritos and Pool Shark show off their crazy, thrashing side. Unfortunately, since it was the 90's, heroin addiction was a huge problem in America, and an overdose took Bradley Nowell's life.

3 Weezer Weezer is an American alternative rock/power pop band formed in Los Angeles in 1992, currently consisting of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitar), Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner.

Some people think that Weezer was great in the early 2000's, but as much as I like tye singles "Beverly Hills" and "Island In the Sun", I always know that no matter how catchy the Green Album is, their original album and Pinkerton will always be their finest works. They have My Name is Jonas, Tired of Sex, Surf Wax America, Buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So, Why Bother? , Pink Triangle, Undone (The Sweater Song), The World Has Turned, how can you compete with these songs?

4 Pixies The Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. The group disbanded in 1993 in acrimonious circumstances, but reunited in 2004. The group currently consists of founders Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering.
