It took me 4 days with extra reluctance to listen to "Drag Me Down" recommended by my friend. I quit listening to their songs on the same day! - jerk4life
They HAVE to be forgotten as soon as possible! - BlueFrostOfThunderClan
I doubt these guys are gonna be forgotten, thanks to the fangirls. - Mumbizz01
It would be good if they will be... - AnanyaV4 Comments
Green Day "will be remembered" in twenty years? The only thing that will be remembered is how badly they stank.
Coldplay could be bad but they are better than one direction by thousands miles - zxmV2 Comments
Only 15-20% music fans know them. And teenagers like me about less than 5% music fans know them. They know Jonas Brothers but not Allman Brothers - zxmV1 Comment
I doubt anyone from my school even know them - zxm
Yes, I'm sure that bands like The Doors, The Who, The Ramones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, all of which have released some of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time, will be forgotten in the next 20 years, despite having influenced multiple bands in the process. No, they'll be forgotten, unlike Green Day, who I'm sure will be remembered as a timeless band, especially since they had those last three albums which had mixed reviews. - ArchAces
The Doors are not losing popularity. Young kids don't hear them on their favorite station, because they have not put out any new music in 45 years. However, once those kids start to want to branch out from the vapid wasteland of current music, they inevitably find the Doors. Their popularity has remained steady for over 40 years now.
Nope, as long as there is rock music and swaggering frontmen in leather pants, Jim Morrison will always be the standard by which others are measured.V1 Comment
In the mid-1970's, Steve Howe said, "I think in 20 years our music will still be remembered." That music is remembered 40 years later. Don't try to predict the future.
I think the author of this list wants to say that these bands are great but unfortunately most of the young people don't know them. - Metal_Treasure
Let's inject some reason and context into this short-sighted argument. Have Beethoven and Mozart "been forgotten" these hundreds of years, even without the benefit of original recordings? Brahms? Wagner? Has Scott Joplin been forgotten more than a century later? Have Benny Goodman and Gene Krupa been forgotten 75 years later? Leadbelly? Robert Johnson? Mahalia Jackson? Odetta? Cab Calloway? Count Basie? Duke Ellington? Ella Fitzgerald? Les Paul? Buddy Holly? Muddy Waters? Howlin' Wolf? Willie Dixon? Little Richard? Jimi Hendrix has been gone 46 years...Point being, good music and its creators are passed down generation to generation. It sometimes just takes time for young people to "discover" why such music has endured. They just need to grow past that most
annoying phase of development wherein they're convinced they already know everything.
HAVE YOU EVAHHH SEEN THE RAIN? Comin down... on a sunny day! Haha this band was amazing it's just too bad they're older and kids today or in 20 years won't know a thing about em. You get my vote CCR. - peaceswagtv
About 50 of my friends only 2 of them (including me) know them - zxmV1 Comment
I don't understand this list. Why are all these good, classic bands here? This is quality music. If anything, Coldplay, Oasis, One Direction, and pretty much every new current band will be gone from everyone's memories before these guys all go. Except for the Ramones. They're forgettable, indeed. - BKAllmighty
Ramones are very good but they are barely remembered. - zxm
I watched them when I was young.Their names also were use in cartoons. But I don't think someone knows him that much. - zxm
What?! Free bird will never be forgotten! EVER. This doesn't make any sense
The sooner it's forgotten, the better. The most dragging, never-ending, off-key, make-you-wanna-rip-your ears off, beer-swillin' redneck anthem ever to linger on and on and on and...
"Rock the Casbah" and "Should I Stay or Should I Go" have always been classics.
