3 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. They might as well as named themselves "Ink Blimp" or "Graphite Plane". This is one of the dumbest band names I've ever heard.

The band's name was supposed to be lead zeppelin.But they changed it to Led Zeppelin.

"Guns N' Roses" is a great name.Guns mean violence and rose normally means love.You can't put them in the same line. Those two words are opposite of each other.

I don't know what they (founder of Guns N' Roses) meant by it but I find a great explanation of the name.
