Cartoon Network is an American television channel launched in 1992. It has been known for producing many successful animated television series for a variety of audiences.
The Top Ten
1 Ed, Edd n Eddy Ed, Edd n Eddy is a Canadian-American animated comedy television series created by Danny Antonucci for Cartoon Network, and the sixth of the network's Cartoon Cartoons. The series revolves around three preteen boys: Ed, Edd "Double D," and Eddy—collectively known as "the Eds"—who live in a suburban... read more

This show brought back so many memories from my childhood. I was first introduced to it by my dad and immediately fell in love with the series. My brother and I would come home from school, immediately turn on the TV, and didn't care who was still watching their shows. I remember Eddy as a money-loving scam artist, which was the best comedy ever. Ed was the strong one but was much of an idiot, which made him my favorite character. Edd was the brainiac and the first person to blame when a scam failed. If I were to rate this show from 1 to 10, I would give it a 1,000.

2 Courage the Cowardly Dog Courage the Cowardly Dog is an American animated horror comedy television series created by John R. Dilworth for Cartoon Network as part of the network's Cartoon Cartoons block.

Boy, this was and always will be my favorite show. It teaches you so many values of life. Don't talk to strangers. You're not perfect, nor is anybody else. The last big lesson was that it's okay to be scared, as long as you have the courage to face that fear and overcome it. I truly learned important life factors from this show, yet it still captured the comical side of things through a scared pink beagle and his elderly farmhouse owners. Hopefully someday, this show might get a reboot that I've always wanted. Long live Courage.

3 Adventure Time Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of a boy named Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio)—a dog with the magical power to change shape... read more

I LOVE this show. After the canceling of my two favorite shows, Teen Titans and Young Justice, I really needed to find a new one to enjoy. I love Adventure Time because even though it seems like it has no plot, it actually does. If you watch all the episodes, you'll realize that it has a deeper meaning. It's set in a post-apocalyptic world, which is fascinating. Most of the creatures are mutated except for Finn (and Betty). I love that there are collapsed buildings and cars, and some episodes flash back to before the Candy Kingdom was established.

I know there will always be people who dislike the show, but compared to other shows on Cartoon Network right now, it stands out. It may not surpass the older shows, but it definitely has more of a plot than most of the newer ones.

4 Regular Show Regular Show is an American animated television series created by J. G. Quintel for Cartoon Network that premiered on September 6, 2010. The series revolves around the lives of two friends, a blue jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby—both employed as groundskeepers at a local park.

I prefer this show over Adventure Time. I also like Adventure Time, but watching this show hits differently in a good way. I held off from watching this show for over ten years and recently started watching it. I wish I had listened to my classmates in third grade.

This show came out of nowhere and shattered my expectations of what was possible with cartoons. Besides Adventure Time and Phineas and Ferb, all the good cartoons seemed to be from the nineties. Then Regular Show went beyond the nineties' mold of greatness to prove not only that animation was still alive but also that it is still improving.

The concept of the main characters being boring, lazy, 20-something-year-old roommates working a dead-end job as park custodians is incredibly creative and simple. There is no funnier 15 minutes of television than "Caffeinated Concert," except maybe for "This Is My Jam."

5 Teen Titans Teen Titans is an American animated television series created by Glen Murakami, based on the DC Comics characters of the same name.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that this wasn't first, or even in the top ten. This show is so unique. It made me ROFL more times than I can count. But at the same time, it has serious storylines, deep character exploration, and a level of maturity that kid-friendly shows rarely have. It deals with mature themes like loss, revenge, betrayal, and many others. If you squint, you will see parallels to subjects like drug use and racism. It's just such a good show, and the five main characters are all so completely different yet come together for a cause. There's something in this cartoon for everyone.

6 The Amazing World of Gumball The Amazing World of Gumball is a British-Australian-German-American-Irish children's animated television series created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network.

Although not the first animated series to incorporate different animation styles, this is maybe the most unique one yet. It's a good combination of surreal and satirical comedy, fantasy, and incorporation of multiple animation styles. This is perhaps one of the best Cartoon Network series of all time. Character personalities were strongly established, which perfectly fits with good comedy script writing. It feels like watching a sitcom, but it's a cartoon. I rate this cartoon series 10/10 for great animation, well-crafted comedic script, and voice acting.

7 Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is an American animated television series created by Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network Studios.

Almost all of the shows on Cartoon Network were good, but Foster's Home was my favorite. It had a simple art style and an episodic plot. The characters fit the show well because, at the end of the day, Foster's was a home for Imaginary Friends created from the minds of kids. The main characters, Mac and Bloo, complement each other really well. Bloo was my favorite character. He was annoying yet charming. The supporting cast is also very diverse and good. If you can get past the simplistic formula of the show, it's great. It's a shame it didn't have a "proper" ending.

8 The Powerpuff Girls The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. The main characters of this show are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The show is about the Professor Utonium creating three little superhero girls that save the day from villains... read more

I love this show. Blossom is so smart. Bubbles is always happy. Buttercup is always tough. Professor Utonium is very fatherly. Ms. Keane is a great teacher. The Mayor is so funny. Ms. Bellum is really kind. Mojo Jojo was horrible, just horrible. Him was extremely scary, just scary. Sedusa was a horrible young woman. The Amoeba Boys are very silly. Princess is more obnoxious than Janet from The Magic School Bus. Fuzzy Lumpkins is really short-tempered. The Gangreen Gang are worse than Hyp, Nod, and Mutt from The Land Before Time. Ace is too skinny and too slim. Snake is too thin and too skinny. Lil Arturo is too short. Grubber is gross. Big Billy is too fat and too round.

9 Dexter's Laboratory Dexter's Laboratory is an American comic science fiction animated television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network, and the first of the network's Cartoon Cartoons. The show is about a kid scientist named Dexter that has a sister named Dee Dee that keeps breaking into his lab.

The credits song got me a little hyped at times, but this show was awesome. Being a kid genius, it shows and exemplifies the quality of being curious and great at inventing/making/conceiving. But it still shows that even the smartest people can make mistakes, which includes family and even friends at times. This show is my epitome.

Alright, I just want to know why the heck this isn't number one. I mean, I love E, but not as much as this. This is just classic. It's way better than most of the overrated, mediocre stuff ahead of it. Pretty much all of them, except for E, Tom, Kerry, and maybe Fosters.

10 The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (also known as Billy & Mandy) is an American animated television series created by Maxwell Atoms for Cartoon Network, and is the 14th of the network's Cartoon Cartoons (albeit namely when it was part of Grim & Evil; the show is considered separate from Cartoon Cartoons... read more

The person who said, I still can't believe that people hate this show, is right. I mean, this is nearly the Cartoon Network version of Invader ZIM. Ironically, the voice of Billy was also the voice of ZIM! Of course, that's not because it has a similar plotline, but because it has dark humor. It's funny for both kids and adults. Also, Grim teaches us that even if your friends use you, don't listen to them if they are mean, and make the best of friendship.

It's too bad that this show was canceled. You're right about that. The people who hate Billy and Mandy, also known as Grim & Evil, have no life and have no idea what they're talking about.

The Contenders
11 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

Cartoon Network has had some great shows in its time. Recently, there have been some lame shows on Cartoon Network. The only good ones now are Regular Show, Gumball, and maybe Adventure Time (not so much nowadays).

Steven Universe came along and it's one of the best cartoons I've ever seen. Unlike most shows today, it follows a storyline. Every episode is important. It's groundbreaking in that it has representation of different races and sexualities. It also includes a beautiful soundtrack and diverse, well-developed characters. It may not seem like much from the outside, but if you gave it a chance, you'd see just how amazing it can be.

12 Codename: Kids Next Door Codename: Kids Next Door (also known as Kids Next Door or by its acronym KND) is an American animated television series created by Mr. Warburton for Cartoon Network.

I can't think of any other show that is 100000% better as an adult.

The show is fueled by a child's perspective and understanding of the world, and it is exaggerated into a CSI world. It's a secret organization of kids fighting adult tyranny. Think of it as a G-rated animated version of Lord of the Flies, but it's not a sausage fest, and there's slightly less killing.

The show had very memorable and likable characters, multiple plot twists, and best of all, it was funny. Even as an adult, it is genuinely, unironically funny.

"What's a bra?"
"And what's she TRAINING for?"

It brings you back to those good old days of being an innocent kid, and as an adult, you can really appreciate the satire and allegories in the show.

The series finale is by far the best series finale of any show on CN. It is surprisingly sophisticated for something that came out of Cartoon Network. While it's not the most satisfying, at the same time, that's kind of what makes it better. It also ends on an ambiguous note.

I don't think calling it one of the great Cartoon Network shows is enough. I would go as far to say it's up there with Avatar and Batman as one of the all-time great cartoons.

I have very few complaints, except I kind of want to see more. Why won't they make a remake of this?

I have never met anyone who has revisited the show when they're older and said it WASN'T better than they remember.

While some people might say there are better Cartoon Network shows out there, I'm not sure I agree.

13 Johnny Bravo Johnny Bravo is an American animated television series created by Van Partible for Cartoon Network, and the second of the network's Cartoon Cartoons.

Cartoon Cartoons were the best shows CN has ever aired. All of them were unique in some way. But Johnny Bravo tops them all! I mean, how can you not laugh at an overconfident meathead getting turned down by yet another woman in a very bizarre way? Clearly, it's the funniest CN show ever.

Definitely one of the best cartoons that was ever aired. It's a shame the channel, formerly known as Cartoon Network, has stepped down to low-quality cartoons such as Adventure Time and Regular Show. I guess animators and story writers just aren't what they used to be. Johnny Bravo should be in the top ten.

14 Looney Tunes Looney Tunes is an American animated series of comedy short films produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969 during the golden age of American animation, alongside its sister series Merrie Melodies.

The Looney Tunes is the most hilarious show ever. The funniest character for me is Porky. The best episode was when the African sand spider went on Porky Pig's face. And there are other characters like Daffy, Bugs, Lola, Yosemite Sam, and loads more. It's the best show in a million years, better than The Amazing World of Gumball by far! Go, Looney Tunes, yeah!

Looney Tunes are the greatest cartoons on the planet. They are way above anything else on this list. With classic characters - admit it, you can name most of them - the characters are the best cartoon characters in the world.

15 Samurai Jack Samurai Jack is an American action-adventure chanbara animated series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network. The series premiered on August 10, 2001, with a TV movie called The Premiere Movie, before ending in its fourth season on September 25, 2004, without concluding the story. A revival... read more

Trust me, folks, Samurai Jack Season 5 has been a thrilling roller coaster ride so far. And believe me, it was well worth the admission price. Not only is the revival faithful to the original, but it also manages to continue to be a phenomenal masterpiece that appeals to both old and new fans. Even though I sadly never watched Samurai Jack as a kid, seeing it come back and aimed at a more mature audience, while still keeping the charm of the original series, truly proved to be one of the best animated TV series I saw all year in 2017.

16 Tom & Jerry Tom and Jerry is an American animated series of comedy short films created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Best known for its 161 theatrical short films by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the series centers on a rivalry between the title characters Tom, a cat, and Jerry, a mouse. Many shorts also... read more

If there is truly a LEGEND in our world, then it is this show. Spanning over more than 80 years of airing, it is still being broadcast every day. With new productions and old episodes, it's translated into most languages of the world. It can be seen everywhere around the globe, wherever there is a TV. This is one of the most beloved cartoons of all time, one of the few that made a deep mark on history - a legacy that cannot be forgotten. This show deserves the first position!

I have watched Tom and Jerry ever since I was a little kid. I'm 13 and I still love Tom and Jerry. It was one of the best shows that Cartoon Network ever made, besides Samurai Jack, The Amazing World of Gumball, Teen Titans, and more. It was great seeing a smart mouse beating up a not-so-bright cat. Ahh! Those were the days!

17 Chowder Chowder is an American animated television series created by C.H. Greenblatt for Cartoon Network. The series follows an aspiring young child named Chowder and his day-to-day adventures as an apprentice in Chef Mung Daal's catering company.

I can't believe this show is not getting the attention it deserves! Someone FINALLY made a show entirely based on food! The characters all have great personalities, and it makes me want to tear my hair out if this show does not continue. I can't compare this show to any other out there. Why did they have to cancel it? Chowder is my all-time favorite Cartoon Network show ever! Even though the theme song may be embarrassing for adults to hear, I still love this show.

Have any of you ever played the game Punch Time Explosion XL? Well, Chowder's in it, and he's most like Kirby from Super Smash Bros. In fact, the game is an exact replica of Super Smash Bros, but with different everything. I love this show more than any other show on this planet. Thank you, Cartoon Network, thank you.

18 We Bare Bears An animated comedy show by Daniel Chong about three different species of bears - Grizzly, Panda and Ice bear (polar bear). Since they were little, they wanted to get adopted by owners separately. But then they missed each other too much, so they reunited again. Now as adults, they now live in a cave... read more

We Bare Bears is a good show, in my opinion. However, there is a significant flaw that frequently appears on the show, and that is Panda.

Panda is an overly-sensitive, insecure, and romantic bear who often tries, but fails, to be the voice of reason. Among the numerous mistakes that mar this otherwise great show is the following:

Paris Syndrome. Panda constantly dreams about the beautiful City of Lights. However, in his extremely limited mindset (if he even has one), he imagines it as the City of the Fulfillment of Panda's Amorous Dreams, or the City that was built specifically for Panda's need to be loved by a girl. While it's true that French girls are attractive, Panda's mind can't seem to handle information beyond the topic of romance.

In conclusion, We Bare Bears is a cool show, but Panda is a real jerk. On the bright side, he does have some redeeming qualities, such as his ability to use technology, even if it's excessive.

19 Pokemon Pokémon, abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters and currently advertised in English as Pokémon: The Series, is a Japanese anime television series, which has been adapted for the international television markets. It was first broadcast in Japan on April 1, 1997, in the United States... read more

This show is literally my childhood. I watched Pokemon Pearl for countless years until it stopped running on TV. I loved the fierce battles, the awesome characters, and, of course, the Pokemon! To be honest, the new ones are a joke. They make Ash seem so annoying. They also got rid of Brock, who was a pretty cool character and was even in the original series. I remember laughing so hard every time he fell for a girl, literally.

As a kid, I had Pokemon cards, toys, knick-knacks, and even a Pikachu stuffed animal. And yes, to be honest, Pikachu was even my imaginary friend.

20 Ben 10 Ben 10 is a media franchise created by Man of Action Studios and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The franchise revolves around a boy named Ben Tennyson who acquires a watch-like alien device, the Omnitrix, which allows him to transform into ten different alien creatures.

Ben 10 was, is, and probably will forever be my favorite cartoon ever. It sparked my interest in making cartoons and is the reason I am who I am today. This show taught kids everywhere that you don't always need powers to be a hero. You just need to be brave and committed. I can never sing this show's praises enough.

The best thing my eyes ever saw. I instantly fell in love with the show - the amazing animation, the great and unique concept, and the storyline of the entire franchise, along with unique abilities, stakes, humor, and drama. Following it to its fourth series was an emotional, joyful, and satisfying ride.

21 Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated

Which Scooby-Doo show are you talking about? Other than the original Scooby-Doo from the '70s, there are at least four different spin-offs. There's "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo," which was pretty good, even if Fred was always trying to pin it on that red-haired bully he had a rivalry with. Then there's "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" which was the best spin-off in my opinion. It felt like they took the original Scooby-Doo and put them in a more modern setting, giving us some good straight-to-DVD movies like "Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost," "Scooby-Doo and the Loch Ness Monster," "Scooby-Doo Vampire Rock," etc.

There's also "Scooby-Doo, Mystery Inc.," which was pretty good, but not the best. Although, I was constantly rolling my eyes at Fred's trap obsession. Finally, there's "Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue," a show that, in my opinion, should be destroyed. This show was more insulting as a spin-off than "Loonatics Unleashed." At least "Loonatics Unleashed" was pleasing to look at and had some good characters, even if it didn't feel like the Looney Tunes.

22 Total Drama Island Total Drama Island is a Canadian animated television series which premiered in Canada on Teletoon on July 8, 2007 and on June 5, 2008 in the U.S.

Okay, now THIS is one of the shows that deserves a higher ranking. This is the only show on Cartoon Network that seemed like an actual reality show, except animated. It has to be in the top 3 of the best shows I've watched on Cartoon Network. It's a great show that has you rooting for one of the characters to win the prize money. In my opinion, this show is very emotion-provoking, making you love or hate characters. Overall, this is a great show that deserves a higher ranking.

We don't often get a show that pushes boundaries the way the censors have put in place, and this show just stands out. Sure, it isn't for everyone, but it's unique and makes people want to tune in every week just to cheer for their favorite character in hopes that they win the million. Even at its worst, Total Drama Island and its sequels have kept us coming back for more.

23 Camp Lazlo Camp Lazlo is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray and produced by his company Joe Murray Productions with Cartoon Network Studios.

How is Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy in the top ten but Camp Lazlo isn't? HOW? The show is really funny and a little educational. I've been watching Camp Lazlo since the day it started on Cartoon Network, and I think that the show should at least be in the top five!

This should be higher. It's like a mix between Rocko's Modern Life and SpongeBob, in my opinion, and it's a pretty good show.

This should be above Teen Titans Go!

24 Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and reinforce the concept of good versus evil. Dragon Ball Z teaches valuable... read more

This show has action, story, and characters - it's packed with awesome moments where great things blow up lesser things! Everyone talks about classics, but this show dates back to the '80s, even though Cartoon Network started in '92. At first, I didn't understand anything about the show.

However, once I started watching it evolve from a baby with a tail to a grown-up god without a tail, it felt extremely awesome. The two Goku vs. Vegeta fights were incredible, featuring a four-hour battle between a monkey and a gender-ambiguous alien. Then there's a pink character who somewhat resembles Kirby and consumes people with his body. Where do people come up with stuff like this? Out of all the shows, this is the must-see classic. It takes some getting used to, trust me.

25 Over the Garden Wall Over the Garden Wall is an American animated television miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network.

I can't describe how good this mini-series is. It's the first cartoon besides Madoka to make me cry. It stars two brothers named Wirt and Greg, later joined by a blue-bird named Beatrice. They got lost in a forest named the Unknown for good reasons. In the first episode, we learn about a creature known as the Beast, who haunts the woods in search of souls who have lost hope in ever finding their way back home. The characters are great, with the addition of a great plot. The most noticeable difference it has from other cartoons is the dark atmosphere, combined with amazing music. Go and watch it now!

I won't spoil anything, but I feel like the interactions between the characters were great too. Especially Wirt and Greg.
