Top Ten Best Cincinnati Bengals

The Top Ten
1 Anthony Munoz, OT

He was the reason the Bengals had a great offense all throughout the 1980s and those 2 Super Bowl years, 1981 with Ken Anderson the AFC Player of the Year and 1988 with Boomer Esiason also the AFC Player of the Year and the NFL MVP and that's why he is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Oh, by the way he's not the only Bengal in the Hall of Famer, he's joined by Ken Riley, who like him played in that 1981 Super Bowl team. Off the field he was named the 1991 NFL Man of the Year. Munoz, a true Bengals icon.

Sorry Ocho Cinco, gotta go with Munoz.

2 Chad Johnson, WR Chad Johnson, formerly Chad Ochocinco, is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football for Santa Monica College and Oregon State University, and played eleven seasons in the National Football League for the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, and the Miami Dolphins.

this guy will have wrote the Bengals record book when he's done playing

3 Boomer Esiason, QB

It's hard to replace a legend like Anderson, but he was up to the test and became a Bengal Legend himself. A member of the Maryland football team, he arrived with the Bengals in 1984 playing backup to Ken Anderson, at 6 foot, 5 inches and with a powerful arm, Esiason brought a powerful offense as one of its best. In 1986, he passed for 3,959 yards a Bengal record. But that was the beginning, in 1988 he had a career year as he had a great passing rate of 97.4 and his Bengals soared to Super Bowl 23 and himself a great of the game.

The Contenders
11 Dre Kirkpatrick,CB
12 David Fulcher, S
13 Tyler Eifert, TE
14 Jim LeClair, LB
15 Joe Burrow, QB
16 Ken Anderson, QB

There are many reasons why Anderson should go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But one stands out. The unforgettable 1981 season. The year the uniforms had a new look AND a new attitude: winning and Anderson was a part of it. 3,754 yards passing, 29 touchdowns, a 98.4 passer rating and NFL Films named him as the 1981 Most Valuable Player. The most important thing was he led the Bengals to their first ever Super Bowl. His leadership and legacy as a Bengal will never be forgotten.
