Sure, Isiah led a team with passion. But if you want a man who leads by example by keeping his mouth shut, it's him. He was a silent individual but with results how can you argue that he was one of the best NBA players of the 1980s. He was easily one of the best defenders in his era the era known as the bad boys, the nickname for those Detroit Pistons. But it was in the 1989 and 1990 NBA Finals that he was a money man who delivered when the game is on the line and walked away with a pair of NBA Champions and the 1989 NBA Finals MVP.

13 Bob Lanier
14 Chucky Atkins
15 Vinnie Johnson
16 Kelly Tripucka

Here's a player that doesn't get the credit he deserves for bringing winning basketball back to Detroit after being in the wilderness for a while. He first made an impact when he was drafted by the Pistons in the 1981 NBA Draft the same draft that also brought in Isiah Thomas. For Tripucka, he shined as a Piston playing in 2 All-Star games, named to the 1981 NBA All-rookie first team and in the 1982-83 season averaged 26.5 points per game. A true forgotten legend.
