Top 10 Best Glee Episodes

The Top Ten
1 The Quarterback (Season 5)

This heart-warming and loved tribute to Finn really deserves the 1st position. Finn was really an inspiring leader and character, and this episode really told the viewers how each character felt about Finn on Glee. All the tears that fell from people's faces really made the emotion clear. Also, the songs that were sung were really touching, and I felt like the actors/actresses on Glee could really communicate with Finn in this episode.

Finn's family trying to let the pain out, Rachel's touching song that was sung while she was crying, Puck and Coach Beiste's strong bond, and Will and Emma's scene really made this episode what it was. Heartbreaking, unforgettable, amazing, touching, and sad. Ryan Murphy did an excellent job. We love you, late Cory Monteith, and our love for you is really expressed and showcased in this episode.

2 Blame It On the Alcohol (Season 2)

Possibly one of the best Glee episodes to have ever been made, the new episodes are nowhere near as good as this one. It puts across a very important message to its viewers about underage drinking and alcohol, but in a fun and entertaining way. All of the songs in this episode are amazing, and I could watch this episode over and over again as it is just so fantastic.

I have every episode of Glee on DVD, and I watched this episode more than any other. How is Grilled Cheesus higher than this? That episode was way too sad. This episode is funny but also shows you the dangers of drinking. I loved the spin the bottle scene, but they should have made Kurt kiss a girl (Santana, for example).

3 Born This Way (Season 2)

Apart from being the longest episode of Glee, this episode also has lots of big moments, such as Kurt's return to McKinley. Lots is revealed, such as the secret of 'Lucy Caboosey'. Other than that moment, the rest is not really that sad in any way - no big breakups or anything like that.

It also has what are, in my opinion, some of the best songs that they perform, such as 'Somewhere Only We Know' and, of course, 'Born This Way'. In this episode, it is nice to see everyone admit something about themselves. And as said in the beginning, it just has 57 minutes of Glee as opposed to 43 or 44.

4 Britney/Brittany (Season 2)

I loved how this episode is Brittany-centric because before that, Britt didn't ever get much of a storyline. I loved what they did with her character and how she was portrayed, and we got to see a different side of her. I also liked the performances a lot, and the dialogues were very witty and smart.

I loved this episode and would watch it over until I am sick of it! I love it. I also love the Thriller episode. It is a great one. My favorite season is Season 5 because it has all the great and newish songs in it. It was a good season! Glee is the best show, and I can't miss an episode. I LOVE GLEE!

5 Grilled Cheesus (Season 2)

Who doesn't like grilled cheese sandwiches? With Jesus on it as well! As far as the episode is concerned, hats off to the creative team for coming up with such a unique concept! Once again, this episode brings a lot of laughs with the wishes Finn asks Grilled Cheesus, but yet tears due to the tragedy between Burt and Kurt Hummel, which only brings them closer together.

Also, for Sue, badass as ever to Will, she creates hell for him and the Glee club once more. But on the contrary, we get to see her closely bond with sister Jean. So gleeks, is there really a "god" for the Glee club? Watch and find out!

6 Nationals (Season 3)

I literally just watched this, and it honestly made me cry like a lot of times in Glee. I absolutely loved the seniors' last performance and Rachel's solo! I love absolutely all the people in Glee, and I'm happy that I found this amazing series. Glee for life!

It is an inspirational episode. It reminds you of society and the struggle to be on top. How you lose and win in life and really brings it back to the world's problems. I have a deep connection to this episode.

I love the ending when they have the confetti slushies! The performances were amazing, the romance was beautiful, and Sue teaming up with the New Directions?! I really wish they had won Nationals again. This was an emotional episode. It just makes me smile.

7 Journey (Season 1)

This is what Glee is. It brought together all these people into a family and made them unite. Their Regionals setlist was incredible and Bohemian Rhapsody was just stunning. Also, the ending left such hope for Season 2. This is the one truly perfect episode.

I love the part where Quinn is in labor while Vocal Adrenaline is singing, and she is actually singing some of the lyrics! Overall, the singing is pretty much flawless.

This amazing season finale made me proud. I remember standing up and cheering after New Directions' Journey performance at Regionals.

8 The Power of Madonna (Season 1)

Definitely one of my favorite Glee episodes. I'm not a fan of Madonna, but I definitely have the soundtrack for this episode on repeat. It was really cute, quirky, and funny. Kurt, Mercedes, and Sue were my favorites in this one.

One of the best episodes storyline-wise. It explored a lot of different sides of some characters, but it was also pretty hilarious.

Nailed the power and the message of Madonna. All the different models of Madonna in the second number were great. Vogue seals it.

9 A Wedding (Season 6)

I feel like the wedding is so realistic. Brittany is really worried, and eventually, Santana calms her down. The last-minute double wedding is not that realistic but really nice. I also love the dancing and singing! They rock those dresses. How loud can you scream 'OTP'? Because I think I just broke the record... and the window. Just kidding, but my mom came up and asked why I screamed 'BEE', and I had to explain to her I said 'OTP', and it was for a comment. Anyway, it's my favorite episode!

Two of the best couples got married. Kurt and Blaine had a wonderful relationship that had its ups and downs, but they never lost the love they had for each other. Through all the drama, they always got together in the end, no matter what. They have been role models for each other throughout the years, and I love the beginning of their relationship in Dalton Academy and how it progressed.

Brittany and Santana started as friends, and then they admitted their feelings to each other. They didn't have much drama in their relationship. They were mature enough to break up because of the long distance and also mature enough to realize that they were meant to be together. What's so special about them is that they were always best friends, together or not. These two couples are amazing in different ways, and they are not only inspirational to LGBT teens but to young people in general.

10 The Hurt Locker, Part Two (Season 6)

Sue Sylvester is my favorite character, and I love it when you get to see her caring about something. She may care a little too much about this young love, but then again it is Klaine. Her elevator plan is genius and so extra and perfect in every way.

I don't know! I just love this episode. Probably because it got Kurt and Blaine back together, and they're my favorite couple in Glee (don't come at me). I mean, the elevator thing was hilarious and cute! I loved this episode.

I love Klaine so much. Sue's attempt to get them back together was just the funniest thing. I loved their kiss in this episode. All the elevator scenes were so cute and funny. Also, New Directions KILLED IT at invitationals.

The Contenders
11 Guilty Pleasures (Season 4)

Kitty and Brittany had a scene in the episode - Fondue for Two. And if you were a real Gleek, you would know that Santana and Brittany didn't have any scenes together in that episode.

Just Darren Criss's Against All Odds performance is enough to put this episode in the top ten. Rewatch it and remember that this was one of the only songs done live and not pre-recorded.

This episode had so many funny moments! Guilty pleasures is such a great idea for a week's assignment. I'm surprised they didn't come up with it earlier.

12 Goodbye (Season 3)

I couldn't stop crying. It had to have been the sweetest thing Finn could do for Rachel. I think deep down she knew his intentions, but it was so emotional.

This episode made me bawl my eyes out! Such a moving and sad episode! The acting was also really good!

I cry just as much as Rachel every damn time!

13 Prom Queen (Season 2)

One of my favorite episodes. I loved how they showed Kurt being brave and accepting his crown even though he was humiliated by everybody. He was truly the star of the episode, and he proved that you have to be proud of yourself and overcome every obstacle people put in your way by smiling and moving on.

The scene where Kurt ran out of prom crying and Blaine went after him was so sweet and heartbreaking. However, this episode also had some funny moments, such as the scene between Sue and Artie. It was also the beginning of Samcedes - they danced for the first time, and Mercedes got her Cinderella fairytale just like she wanted. I also liked Quinn's development. Even though she wanted to win prom queen so badly, at the end of the episode, she was dancing with everybody and was just having fun.

14 The Break-Up (Season 4)

I cry so much every time I watch this. Heartbreaking scenes between all the best Glee couples (Finn and Rachel, Santana and Brittany, and Blaine and Kurt) and some of the best songs ever sung on Glee.

I cried so hard on this episode. The songs were amazing, and it was just so good. But come on! My number one OTP (Klaine) and two of my other OTPs that I support very much broke up all in one episode! I was bawling by the end. It's just such a good episode, and the acting and songs were amazing.

This one was so heartbreaking. It had three of the best performances ever too: Mine, the raw version of Teenage Dream, and Give Your Heart a Break.

15 Never Been Kissed (Season 2)

Very touching episode. Kurt's new acquaintance, Blaine, is like an angel that has arrived. The scene when one of the Warblers answers that their school has a policy to treat everyone equally and Kurt tears up, unable to speak... Wow.

The Beiste scene was also quite emotional, and Will's small peck on the lips was very moving. Truly a powerful, character-driven program.

Blaine and Kurt are Glee's best couple, and when Blaine tries to help Kurt with Karofsky it is just so like him. Blaine is Glee's best character by far and when he sang Teenage Dream it was by far the best song sung on the show.

16 New York (Season 2)

This episode feels extremely long. One time when I was watching it on Netflix, I was like "The episode's only halfway done?" There's so much going on, it keeps it from being boring. Most episodes, there are scenes that I think shouldn't exist. If they were cut, the episode would have been better.

I didn't think that about New York. Every scene was just perfection. I also like how they focus on Nationals a lot less and mainly on being in New York (unlike the Nationals episode in Season 3). Wonderful character development, relationship development, songs (best original songs of the series in my opinion, Pretending, Light Up the World, As Long As You're There, etc., as well as the beautiful For Good, and a really interesting and addictive acapella version of Bella Notte).

Also, We Still Got Tonight proved to me that Mr. Schue needs to sing more. I also found myself very entertained by My Cup and Yeah! Man, the episode was full of songs. The songs are my favorite part of the show, so that may be why I love this episode so much.

17 The Rocky Horror Glee Show (Season 2)

This was truly one of the best episodes of Glee. As a devoted Gleek, I have been very disappointed with the new Glee episodes. But this episode has everything: music, the original characters, dancing, and who doesn't love the raging battles between Will and Sue?

This is one of my top five favorite episodes of both season one and two of Glee. The episode has great humor, a fantastic theme, and the song covers for Rocky Horror totally live up to the original but are still uniquely done.

18 Duet (Season 2)

Just love it because of Sam and Quinn, especially Sam.

An amazing episode.

1. Rachel is being sweet about letting Quinn and Sam win the contest so Sam would feel welcome.
2. First Brittana kiss on screen!
3. A powerful duet by the top bitches Mercedes and Santana!
4. The start of Artie's and Brittany's hilarious relationship.
5. Brittany's character appears to have grown and be more deep than we all had imagined.
6. Kurt is singing a duet by himself (kind of a vocal self-love, according to Santana!)

And so, so many other moments. I love this Glee, the good, old times with the original cast. This episode reminds me of all those people I really miss on Glee. I can't believe we now have a GLEE without Cory (RIP), Heather, Amber, Dianna... IT MAKES ME FEEL SAD, but whatever. Glee is always Glee, and the guys are doing an awesome job in keeping Glee the way us fans would like.

19 Pilot (Season 1)

I don't know why this episode is so low on this list. It was the beginning of everything, when the show was something so new, fresh, and interesting. My favorite part was definitely the Don't Stop Believin' performance.

All those who didn't vote for this episode never got the true essence of Glee! The best episode ever. In fact, it can be watched as a short film in itself. I hope Glee does these kinds of episodes again in season 6! #Dont_stop_believing!

How is this not any higher on the list? By far my favorite! Probably always will be.

20 Michael (Season 3)

Artie's speech in the choir room before the Scream number was pretty much every Gleek's thoughts when we see the Glee club getting picked on. It was such a powerful moment. Obviously, the Finchel scenes were superb too, and every performance was on point. Smooth Criminal and I Just Can't Stop Loving You were the best covers of that episode.

As an MJ fangirl, I am predisposed to love this episode, but it was honestly great. The performances were beautiful, and I loved how the New Directions all came together for Black or White at the end to show the Warblers how to take the high road.

21 Sectionals (Season 1)

Best episode ever! It was so good. Rachel sang "Don't Rain on My Parade," and she was so damn good! Her voice is incredible, and this episode was awesome. Everybody loves this episode.

God, I miss Season 1 with Rachel, Finn, Mercedes, Kurt, Santana... The "Old School" Glee (Seasons 1, 2, 3) is an all-time classic! I hated that they all graduated.

22 Britney 2.0 (Season 4)

Brittany is hilarious. That's pretty much it, haha. I laughed so hard during the whole episode and cried so hard at the end. An emotional rollercoaster, just as Glee should be.

23 A Very Glee Christmas (Season 2)

It was so sweet when the Glee kids saw Artie walking. And Brittany was so funny when she asked Santa to make Artie walk. Brittany is the cutest! It was awesome when Rachel and Finn sang Last Christmas!

Love Klaine's Baby It's Cold Outside. So cute. Love Brittany being her own Cindy Lou Who and Sue as the Grinch. Beiste giving the present that makes Artie walk for Christmas. Finchel sings Last Christmas, which is a favorite. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

24 Hell-O (Season 1)

I love it when Rachel tells Finn that she found a new guy! And Finn says that he is not going to give up. I can't stop watching this episode! Why is it number 7? It should be at the top!

Hell-O is one of the best episodes! And the part where Rachel tells Finn that she has found a new guy, and that Finn says he's never going to give up - it's a great episode!

I love every episode where Finn wants Rachel back! It's so cute. Plus, the songs are amazing! This is definitely one of the best on the show!

25 Shooting Star (Season 4)

I don't know why this episode isn't in the top ten! It relays the all-important message of school shootings. It had me on the edge of my seat for sure. And the way that the teachers jumped into action was amazing. So emotional as well! Everyone was saying their goodbyes, thinking that this may very well be their last day at McKinley. This isn't some cheesy take on this subject.

This episode for me is by far the most emotional and heartbreaking episode in GLEE's history (along with On My Way and The Quarterback). Everything just seemed so real. It was well written, the acting was good, and it had a message.
