This list is a list of the top ten guitar tracks. It is based off of the amount of epicness as well as skill combined, so you may not see the fastest guitar song of all time. It is also based off of the song as a whole, not just the solo. This list is purely opinion.
Absolutely my favorite guitar track of all time. It starts off with an amazing riff laid down by one of my favorite guitarists of all time, Jimi Hendrix, and builds up to a much different, heavier riff. The song is topped off by multitudes of solos. A perfect piece all-around.

Kickass song. I was surprised to see that this song was put up here. The song starts with a badass riff that is extremely catchy. The only problem with the riff is that it's very hard to play. Then the chorus kicks in, and you just feel the song flowing.
At the end, the song goes faster. Poland starts to shred his jazz-metal-fusion-whatever solo while Dave is yelling, "Killing is my business... and business is good."
Overall, a very badass song.
Yet another amazing guitar piece. The combination of the intro riff, verse riffs, and the solo just pushes this song over the edge in terms of greatness.
This blues-inspired song is perfect from start to finish. From the epic intro to Robert Plant's screams to everything in between, this song is a true testament to what Led Zeppelin can really do.

This song starts out with a soft guitar intro, with the chorus lyrics chanted over it, but the song quickly barrels into a hard rock gem. The thundering main riff carries the song into its second half: the guitar solo. This 2-minute solo is the pièce de résistance of the entire song and makes this song worthy of the #5 spot.
Starts off with a face-melting wah-wah melody. This song quickly builds up to be one of the most memorable songs of all time. With its multiple solos and riffs, interludes and bridges, Surfing with the Alien is worthy of the #3 spot.
Three words to describe Derek Trucks: Modern blues god. I first found out about this piece on Guitar Hero, and I love it. The main riff is a work of pure genius, and the solos are completely godly. Absolutely my favorite only-blues song. It definitely deserves the #6 spot.
If this solo is Jimmy Page's favorite of all time, you know it has to be good. But aside from the solo, the song as a whole is fantastic. The intro solo is excellent, and the lead parts in the choruses, plus the outro solo, push the song the extra length it needs to get to #7.
This song has one of my favorite main riffs of all time. I must say, it's not the most challenging or fast song of all time, but it is certainly one of the best guitar tracks of all time.

Can't stop listening to this one. Greatest mixture of rhythm and lead guitar. Perfect example of what Hendrix was capable of.
