Best Hard Rock, Glam & Heavy Metal Albums of the '80s
Best, loudest and greatest hard rock/glam metal/heavy metal albums. Music that kick your ass! There will never be an album like this again...a true masterpiece
This album has to be number one! Guns N' Roses reinvented glam metal and hardrock with this album. Every song on Appetite For Destruction is fairly well known by Hard Rock lovers. I don't know anyone who talks about Iron Maiden more than Guns N' Roses. This album has lyrics full of sex, drugs, alcohol, and the gritty underground of Los Angeles. What more could you ask for? This album is a breath of fresh air.
Debut of legendary hard rock band with killer song 'Welcome To The Jungle'. Amazing voice of Axl Rose and Slash's riffs.
This is my favourite album of all time. Not only does it have the smash hits welcome to the jungle, paradise city and sweet child o' mine, but the album tracks are awesome. Some of the songs may not appeal to some people, but regardless, it is still one of the most popular albums of all time. And why is no. 1 and 2 the same album?
First album of English heavy metal band with divine Bruce Dickinson.
Three big hits on one album! Probably the best metal album ever.
One of their best albums (though many of their albums are gold)
Is it only me that thinks it's awesome judas priest's same album is placed at number one and two
The greatest album in metal!
The best of 80's albums
Best frontman ever - Dave Lee Roth with Van Halen brothers made best Van Halen album.
Back In Black is the second highest selling album OF ALL TIME. They say it will overtake Thriller and eventually become the highest selling album EVER!
But only 20th on this list? Tough crowd!
Greatest hard Rock album EVER. Released in the 80s. How isn't it on the list?!
This should be the second behind Appetite For Destruction
What are Ratt doing at the fourth place?
Still a killer album and it stood the test of time! I Love RATT.
Creatures of the night is one of the best heavy metal albums of all time and one of the best by KISS should be in the Top 5
The masters of metal at their heaviest!
Top 5 hands down definitely more deserving than Appetite for Destruction in terms of tracklist and variety
One of the best.
Wildest guys on the world and their danger, eternal album.
Great debut album
I love Skid Row, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses and Iron Maiden, but come on... BON JOVI DEFINED THE 80S HARD ROCK GLAM METAL. Slippery When Wet is still a better album then anything on this list, no matter how you think of it. 2 number one hits and a number 7 which went on to become the theme for Deadliest Catch... This deserves to be number 1
Who never heard 'Livin' On A Prayer'? Bon Jovi is everywhere!
Great album, but if we were going to vote for audio satisfaction then this album would be farther down...
Definitely the greatest
In my opinion it's the best Metallica album
Great album it is awesome. Nobody's Fool is the best Cinderella song ever
Great debut of the young and talented boys from North America.
Awesome album 18 and Life and I Remember You are so good
Technical thrash at its best - a more sophisticated version of thrash. Fast and technical riffs and solos. One of the metal masterpieces (not only of the 80s). This is the most technical album on this list. Really magnificent musicianship.
songs: Alison Hell, Human Insecticide, Schizos.
This is thrash metal too! This site is full of metal poser kids!
I'm 43 and still love it
Very underrated album
Strongest track list in metal. Hands down amazing lyrics from the late, great Ronnie James Dio.
Way better than 1984 and compatible to women and children first. Should be ahead of any Bon Jovi album...Seriously!
Ronnie James Dio on the title track is pure Gold. Having heard him sing it live yields memories that will last a lifetime.
This beats Hysteria by far
This is the best album of iron maiden all the songs on this album enjoyable and there is no weak songs maybe the prophecy but is good too. I'm glad to see the number of the beast first but people that don't know iron maiden probably think that the number of the beast is the best iron maiden album... It's not, it's the most known album but not the best so vote for this or even powerslave (masterpiece album).
