Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is an American rapper, actor and music producer born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce da 5'9") half of the hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil.
Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and 13 worldwide. Eminem changed the entire rap genre and is one of the all time greats. Each of his albums (Perhaps besides Encore) is a lyrical masterpiece. "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show" are two of the greatest rap albums ever written. After the release of two exceptional comeback albums in "Relapse" and "Recovery, " Eminem left the decade with a bang, ready to be back on track with his previous work.

And many people can't stand Linkin Park and think they're overrated. Still, look at what frontman Chester Bennington has done for music in this decade. He managed to combine metal with rap with alternative rock with pop. And made it sound good. Meanwhile, every Linkin Park song shows off Chester's amazing range and strength of voice. This is a talented guy.

's legacy, an entertaining rap beef with Nas that ended with a handshake and a dynamic new signing to Roc Nation, and many collaborations with Kanye West, another great rapper and sidekick.

Let me start off with a controversial statement: Avenged Sevenfold is the best metal band God has given us since Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath. They are true to their roots and each member is extremely talented and deserves to be considered one of the best at their instrument in music right now. You might be wondering why I put Synester Gates here, the guitarists, ahead of M Shadows, but this is my reasoning: What makes Avenged a great band is the fact that they stay true to their roots but sound modern at the same time. And Gate's guitar riffs set the tone and the sound for each and every song. Therefore, they owe this to him. Avenged is a great band because of Synester Gates.
