Top 10 Best Kylie Minogue Songs

The Top Ten
1 Can't Get You Out of My Head

Now this is a timeless song. Just think about it, it was released in 2001 and it still sounds fresh. It's definitely her most famous song, it's her signature, but it's as well, one of her best. This song has some kind of dark vibe, you know, it's so mysterious. Not to mention that it just gets stuck in your head, you just can't get it out of your head. That "la la la" part is the catchiest thing ever. You just know it before you relaize it, like you dmight not know this song's name but you know that part. And Kylie nailed it, oh yeah.

2 Confide in Me

Even though Can't Get You Out of My Head is undoubtedly her most famous song, this one is, in my opinion, her best, quality wise. Don't get me wrong, I adore Can't Get You... but I can relate to this song on a whole different level. It is brilliant, honestly. And it's amazing that it still has the same magic as it did when it first came out. If I were to make my personal favourite top, this one would definitely be no1. This song made me love Kylie even more. It's fascinated be since it came out. And its video is perfect. A perfect video for a perfect song.

3 On a Night Like This

At first I didn't get the love for this song until one day when I actually realised what a masterpiece this song is. First and foremost, this song is so relaxing and at the same time, it is so romantic and it makes you feel nostalgic, it's like you've known it all along. When in fact, it might be your first listen. Anyway, Kylie sings this one perfectly. Her gorgeous voice just mix with this gorgeous track. And there you have one of her best music video that just completes this already powerful song. I adore it!

4 In Your Eyes

A brilliant song, from a brilliant album, sung by a brilliant singer! "In Your Eyes" is seriously one of my all time favourite song.I was charmed by it from the very first listen. Her voice, thos ambiguous lyrics, that insanely hooky beat, oh my God... I can even hear it now, as I'm typing this, and I'm listening to a different song. This happens when you've got a song forever stuck in your head. I strongly believe that this is the perfect dance tune. I can't help but point out something, though. What I find the most interesting about this track is its dark atmosphere. I mean, of course, there are a lot of other "dar" songs in Kylie's discography (all tracks from "Impossible Princess", for example) but this is different somehow. I can not explain what I feel about it and how this songs makes me feel, how I'm so fascinated by it. I just adore it!

5 Love at First Sight

I absolutely adore this song. Fever is such a perfect album and this song is probably one of the best, if not the beat one, on the entire album. I am so happpy that it got released as a single. Kylie was on fire during this period / era. Can't Get You Out Of My Head is amazing on its own, it is simply iconic. But Love at First Sight is, in my eyes, better. It is so fresh and just listening to it makes me feel so good, it cherishes me up. It has that effect on me, you know. I also think that its video is so on point. That choregraphy has always amazed me. I remember watching it as a child and getteing impressed by it. Maybe that's why I love the song so much, I don't know. As a side note, isn't it hilarious that Kylie has two songs titled Love at First Sight? (There are also two Right Here, Right Now by the way. Also an unreleased Feels So Good that's completely unrelated to the released one on Kiss Me Once. Just in case you wanted to know.) Anyways. Love this song.

6 All the Lovers

On of the things I love the most about Kylie is the fact that she keeps getting better, and better, and better. Another thing that fascinates me about her is her ability to reinvent herself while still satying true to her roots. From bubblegum tunes, to mature dance tracks, indie masterpieces, golden pop songs, orchestral music, even Christmas music and I'm sure there are many more to come. Now back to this literally perfect track. I keep using this term -perfect- when talking about Kylie's music, but this one is even more perfect (if such a thing can even exist).

It's euphoric atmosphere, Kylie's vocals, those lyrics. It definitely deserves to be in top 3. So people, keep voting!

7 Put Yourself in My Place

Now, this song is the real deal. I think that '90 Kylie was the best so far, or at least to me, though I absolutely adore Kylie no matter the era, you know. But "Kylie Minogue" -the album- is by far her best album for me. "Confide in Me" is a masterpiece (and it deserves to be numer one! ) and "Put Yourself in My Place" comes close to it. It should be at least in the top five. It difficult to choose a "best Kylie song" since she has so many excellent songs. But it is so clear to me that this song deserves a far higher spot on this list. As I've previously stated, its enitre parent album is a work of art and this song is one of the best songs from the whole CD -and that means something. The lyrics, the melody, her vocals. Not to mention the emotion. I am not an overly emotional person nor am I a person who gets easily impressed but this song has the power to make me feel it. And that's one of the most important things when we're talking about music.

8 I Believe in You

I will admit that I'm still a little mad that we only got two brand new songs on Ultimate Kylie (don't even get me started on The Best Of, like come on, not even include Timebomb? ). I mean, why weren't we given a mastered version of Loving You (great song, by the way, even if it's only demo quality but anyways) plus/or any other new songs? Or eventually a third CD with b-sides, rarities and unreleased songs? But, at least the two songs we got are amazing, I'm telling you. I adore both I Believ in You and Giving You Up. I love them both but slightly more I Believe in You.It is so pure and intense, Kylie goes hard. She would eventually recreate the magic of I Believe in You on Aphrodite album but this song is so special for me. I also love the music video. Kylie's like an angle, she looks gorgeous (she always does though, let's be real).

9 Spinning Around

I love this song with all of my heart. I am so gald it ended up being Kylie's (I like Paula too but, Kylie is the one for me and she just nailed this song, let's be real). I am so glad it was the song that brought Kylie back at the top of game. I am glad it got that iconic video. The only think I'm not that glad is that it still doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I've always felt it is kind of overshadowed by "On a Night Like This" that is undoubtedly a fan favourite. Sure, that's a brilliant song on its own but "Spinning Around" is on the same level, if not of even higher level.

It deserves a higher spot on this list. I think it should be at least in the top ten. I love Kylie's songs, I do love them madly, but this song is on a whole other level!

10 Slow

When asked "What's your favourite song you've ever recorded? " Kylie herself answered that her favourite song of hers was SLOW. And that's all we need to know in order to make this song be at #1. It just deserves the first spot on this list. I mean, I know it is difficult to choose a Kylie best song since her entire discography is almost flawless. You get variety, originality and, most importantly, quality. Sure, Kylie is undoubtedly an extremely talented person: she's a musician (those who claim she has 'no voice' should go check out some more songs of hers, especially those on the album released in 1994 -Kylie Minogue, a masterpiece on its own, by the way, but that's another story), she's an entertainer (her shows are pure gold and, let's be real, Aphrodite: Les Folies says it all) but what matters most is that she's an artist (Two words: Impossible Princess). And this song is just perfect. Not to mention that the fact that she wrote it herself gives it much more credit. I can only think of one word when trying to describe this heavenly song: uniqueness. This song is unique. In her discography. In the entire musical industry. I just personally adore it. Let's get it to where it deserves to be...number 1!

The Contenders
11 Come Into My World

Come, come into my world... Oh yeah, I love this song so much, I can't even tell. I am so happy that it gave Kylie a Grammy award (not that it would mean something special or unheard of since Grammys nowadays are just about fame and who pays the most. It is so sad, actually, but that's how it is.) It's part of the Fever album and was released as its final single. Personally, I wish we would've gotten more singles off the album. For example, Love Affair should've been released. Love Affair and Come Into My World are among the best songs from Fever. I can picture music videos for both of them. Even though I love the Come Into My World music video, I admit that I would have preferred something exotic, something kind of mystical, you know. The cover art for Come Into My World is amazing, actually. That's the kind of aesthetics I would have gone for, and Kylie would have perfectly suited it. But in any case, it doesn't really matter when talking about the quality of the song. It's a perfect song, people, perfect. That is the only word I can use to describe this outta this world song.

12 Finer Feelings

Isn't it amazing how 'til this day this song is still a fan favourite? It doesn't matter that it was released in the '90s, people still love this song. And that just proves this song is timeless. I personally adore the praise this song. Its parent album, Let's Get To It, is so shamefully underrated and the fact that one of its songs gets the respect it deserves kind of brings some justice for Kylie's fourth LP. Anyways, Finer Feelings is brilliant. Kylie's voice and attitude, the fragility she shows, those lyrics, the romantic atmosphere, everything, I truly mean it, everythingis just perfect. Should I mention its music video is also splendid? I would but an entire album only for this particular song (Though I adore Let's Get To It too: Word is Out is gold and it should be in top 15, by the way, Give Me Just A Little More Time is a classic and I Guess I LIke It Like That makes me go speachless. Plus all the other songs, of course). It's such a shame this song is so low on this list. Come on, people, let's get it higher and higher. Let is rise!

13 Wow

I still remember, to this day, the very first time I listened to this song. It was on an autumn day. I was going through her discography -it was when I started to listen to her, you know, when I was gotting into her music- in order to find another hidden treasure (by that, I mean hidden treasure when considering the entire music, mainly pop, scene because Kylie's music is generally underrated, and basically all of her songs are "hidden" since they're not overexposed. Per contra, they do not get the attention and success they deserve and that's sad.) and I found this song. I was wowed!

I think it is one of the best song from "X" in fact. And, also, that video made me love it even more. Because visual is a extremely important aspect for me...

14 Breathe

This song is so shamefully underrated. In fact, so is Impossible Princess, even though it is simply Kylie's best album. Every single song from that album could easily be number one -though I think that Too Far is actually "the best". Sure, Can't Get You Out of My Head is a mind-blowing dance song, All the Lovers is one outta this world type of song, On a Night Like This is the perfect pop song and so on. I could go on and on and on...and so on. Kylie is such a versatile artist, she's known as a pop star even though that's not the only genre she's approached. Don't get me wrong, I love her enitre discography: her pop song, her hidden indie jems, her experimental stuff, everything, in a single word. But when talking about a "best Kylie song / album" we should just remember that out of two equally amazing tracks, one written and composed by X famous writer and one written and composed by Kylie herself, the one that deserves the "crown" is the one Kylie wrote. I'm not stereotyping here. We're talking about Kylie, an artist that wrote mostly every single track on her best album to date, a masterpiece. We're not talking about some average pop singer who's trying too hard to be something they're not. Kylie's already proved us that she can sing and that she can write amazing material. I am not saying the songs that were not written by her are not good, my point is far from that. But a track that was written by her most definitely would show parts of Kylie the person (note that I'm strictly talking about Impossible Princess tracks or sings recorded during that era). I see Impossible Princess as a very personal album. I see it as a very important point in her career. This is the album that showed the world that Kylie Minogue is much more than she was thought to be by the public / the critics. This album made her an artist, and not a simple singer who happens to dance. An album that is so good that every song off it could be easily named "the best Kylie Minogue track". And... more

15 Get Outta My Way

This song makes my day every time I listen to it. No matter how sad I feel, if I listen to this brilliant song I just feel better immediately. It has that power to do so. In fact, so does "Everything is Beautiful", a song from the very same album "Get Outta My Way" is on, "Aphrodite" -a flawless work of art, by the way, you just gotta check it out. I am so genuinely happy that it got released as a single, it just deserved it. It should've caught much more attention than it actually got but what can you do... people, or, at least, most of them, are not interested in good music anymore. But hey, that's definitely their loss. Anyways, this song surely deserves its place on this list (personally, I would rate it a few places higher but that's a purely subjective opinion and also, considering the amount of excellent songs Kylie's name is associated with, I have no doubt that it is painfully difficult to name a "best song" among all of her tunes) and if you haven't listened to it yet, you should give it a try, it's worth it!

16 Your Disco Needs You

Well, "Your Disco Needs You" is simply the real deal. It is so unique in such an unique way. I can't even describe how I feel about this tune. At first, I was not too keen on this song, I have to admit it. But I got intrigued by it form the very first listen, and that made me come back and listen to it one more time, and one more time, and then more and more -it's like I got hooked- and I suddenly realised what a bomb this song actually is. Its video helped a lot too (let's be real now, that music video is just iconic, we get thousands of Kylie 'versions' in a single music video, can we actually ask for more? ). Now it's one of my favourites. I am glad to see this high on this list. I do believe that it should be way higher but I also know that it is so difficult to order Kylie songs and decide which one is "the best" because all of her songs are criminally amazing (and of good quality) that is literally impossible to choose the best of the best. But this classic Kylie tune is my personal favourite so I'll go with it!

17 Chocolate

Every time I hear "Chocolate" I am pulled into another dimension of sorts. The hooks, lyrics, and general sonic quality is second to none, and is a part of what I feel is the best album Kylie has ever released. It's edgy, sexy, chic, and feminine is all of the best ways creating the perfect storm. I cannot imagine 'Body Language' without "Chocolate", "Red Blooded Woman", and "Slow".

"Chocolate" is one of my all time favourite songs. It's simply one of the most beautiful and romantic song I've ever heard. It just has that power to take you away and make you forget everything else and truly enjoy what you're listening to. You know, it's just you and the song and nothing else. It's as if world just stopped, time froze and there's nothing left but this brilliant tune. This song is both romantic and mysterious, it's like it's outta this world. And Kylie's voice is wonderful, so, so magical-like. Also, let's not forget its perfect music video, definitely one of Kylie's best, hands down. I'm genuinely happy that it got released as a single (though it shouldn't have been the final one, I mean, "Body Language" is such a good album and many of its tracks were, in fact, single worthy like, for example, "Sweet Music", "Obsession", "Still Standing" or even "City Games" -that shamefully got released as a B-side only) and I honestly don't understand how it wasn't the huge hit it deserved to be. But, anyways, it does not affect the quality of this perfect song. A perfect song!

18 Fever

This song makes me feel nostalgic... I love it

19 Timebomb

I will vote for this song because this song is the BOMB. This is, in fact, Kylie's best song and it should be number 1 on this list. Why? you'd ask. For so many reasons. First of all, the production of this song is flawless, that's undeniable. The aura of this song is so modern and new and yet it's a pure Kylie classic. Then there are Kylie's vocals that are untouchable. Overall, this song is perfect. Sure, the music video spices it up a bit and that's not a bad thing - per contra. The only thing I'm mad about is that it was used as an anniversary track. Like, come on, why was such a smashing track? Just why? I don't understand it it, honestly, I do not understand it. They could've at least included it on "The Best Of Kylie Minogue" but no, they thought that that's what fans want, another CD with reordered already released Kylie tracks. No, generally, people want new stuff. I don't have nothing against greatest hits albums but only if they include at least one brand new track. And it makes me angry to think that they "had" this song and there was also "Flower" and yet they "forgot" them. Not to mention, that this song had the potential to become a true hit, if correctly handled. Unfortunately, it was not. Anyways, this song should be number 1. "Timebomb" for the win!

20 Better the Devil You Know

"Better the Devil You Know". Now this one's a classic, let's be real. Sure, it's not one of her most well-known songs (I mean, when compared to bigger hits such as "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", "The Locomotion" or "I Should Be So Lucky"), unfortunately, but it surely is one of her finest tunes, especially from the Stock Aitken Waterman era. The only song I can think of right now that can stand against this song is "Word is Out" -a seriously underrated song; underrated when it was released, underrated to this day. Or maybe "Things Can Only Get Better" -how in heaven wasn't this released as a single, by the way? Just how? What were they thinking? But I guess that that's another story.

Now, I'll only focus on this song's flawlessness. Because it is flawless. It even stood the test of time. Clearly, it does not sound that "fresh" but it still appeals to the young. Like, my case is the perfect example. I was born years after this song's release and I adore it. And I am more than sure that I am not the only one. So I was a little disappointed to see this masterpiece so low on this list. How is it even possible, people? Let's just make it rise!

21 Kids
22 In My Arms

One of my personal favourites. Simply amazing. I loved it from the very first time I listened to it. And it's also one of the very first songs of Kylie's I heard. And it made me fall in love with her. This song is so unbelievable catchy it's surreal. The production is flawless, her vocals are so on point and let's not forget the music video. Iconic.

This song is also a highlight on "X". I think it should have been the lead single (although I absolutely adore "2 Hearts"). One of the finest moment on the entire record. If you like this song, you should also check out "Speakerphone" and "Nu-di-ty" and maybe "Heart Beat Rock" (which was also produced by Calvin Harris, just like "In My Arms"). I am just saying this because I know that this tune is so brilliant that you will, more or less, hear something at least pretty similar to it. The song is unique, though.

23 I Should Be So Lucky

The song that she is probably most famous for and the song that made her famous. Simply a fantastic song and her first song recorded.

24 Dreams

I don't get why its not at least in the top 20...

25 Butterfly

Banger! Should be way higher though (Top 50 at least).
