This game's beach landing is amazing... Unlike Call of Duty 2's landing where the beach is about 2cm long. I really liked this game, but I don't really like the type of campaigns where you are forced to be a one-man-army against the entire German Army and the SS.

The best WW2 game I ever played,AWESOME! I finished the full trilogy (Base+Spearhead+Breakthrogh) about 50 times. I Love it. The new Medal of Honors aren't good,so they have to make an Allied Assualt Remastered.
One of the first massive multiplayer online games with huge maps, destructible scenery, and the ability to man nearly every weapon system in WWII, from aircraft to artillery, and from motorcycles to tanks.
Simply the start of a great first-person shooter franchise. I love this game and the others in the series! However, this one in particular is NOT realistic compared to the series' recent titles.

This game is all epic! This is one of the best games Call of Duty have in their series and certainly the best WW2 game out there. YES there is Call of Duty 5 which is newer and is also about WW2 and YES there is Black Ops 2 but they don't get the right feeling while playing it.. Here we have the complete package. And I think that the only way for a game to be actual, original and interesting almost 10 years after its release is to be made perfectly. And Call of Duty 2 certainly is a perfect game!
More Call of Duty games should have a campaign like this. The current campaigns are way too predictable, even before buying AW, I knew that at some point you'd go against ATLAS.
The best Call of Duty in my opinion. Graphics are amazing, body dismemberment is epic, multiplayer was fun only on PC and Wii because there were no hackers to ruin the game, really likeable (one of the characters in this game return in Black Ops 1), great story.

A true world war two epic, play from any country's perspective big or small, and completely immersive and addictive
This game is BRILLIANT! Much better than COH. All of the tanks, jeeps and half-tracks break as they would in real life and the destruction physics are just amazing! You can really rip up a town whilst trying to capture it or defend. I find that it is genuinely sad when a soldier that I have been commanding from the beginning of the battle is killed. What makes you more emotionally attached to your men is that they all have unique and individual names. The cover system is also very impressive, because when you highlight a unit or a soldier, a ghostly figure appears in the position that the soldier would stand. This is much more helpful than the COH's cover system because they actually get behind cover. The attention to detail on the maps are beautiful, towns really look like the type of towns that soldiers used to fight in when in France.
This is the best game ever for ps3. It used to be very active in long time ago till a year later for ps4 release. Hopefully this game going be massive active in next console with because. It is the best ww2 shooter than battlefield 5
Although it's my second favorite in the series (Hell's Highway being the first). This is perfect WWII game. It takes place between D-Day and June 13th 1944, and it's not just shoot the Germans, grab the documents, blow up the 88/Flak/Panzer/Tiger. NOPE! Matt Baker (game's main protagonist) is portrayed as a squad leader who indeed cares for his men, and he takes it hard when some of his men die. In this game you lead your men through the perilous missions (Purple Heart Lane is hard, I mean you can't sprint in the game and it's possible that your soldiers get wounded, or worse, die). This game and it's sequels (Earned in Blood, Hell's Highway and maybe later Battle of the Bulge) tie up in soldiers life and that each of them was worth of it.
