10 Best Rappers of 2009

The Top Ten
1 Eminem Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is an American rapper, actor and music producer born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce da 5'9") half of the hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and 13 worldwide.

Coukie, you need to shut the hell up, who are you to say Eminem does not deserve first place, you have no damn right to say that. I like Lil' Wayne but just 3 things what I don't like about him
1. His damn raspy voice, it was better when he didn't have that rasp like in The Carter.
2. He sometimes doesn't make sense.
3. He is the only person who would rhyme ass with ass...
but you can say Lil' Wayne is better than Eminem because it does not matter, thats your opinion.

Eminem has already been classed as a legend in the rap world and he's still at large with Royce the 5'9. His Recovery album was the best selling album in the U.S.A last year. It's because he connects with his fans in ways that can't be explained

Eminems versatility completely overshadows lil wayne he shouldn't even be in the top 10 it should go Eminem, Biggie small, Tu pac and so on Lil Waynes a joke

I think Beautiful was the best rap song, probably the best song of 2009. Relapse wasnt the same caliber of his other albums, but it is good to see hes back

2 Lil Wayne Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was discovered by Brian "Baby" "Birdman" Williams at a very young age, and was signed to Cash Money Records, where he would be one quarter of the rap group Hot Boys. In the years to follow, he would go on to find his own label, Young Money, where he would sign popular artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga, and he would go on to be one of the most popular rappers of all time. ...read more.

:-D and shut up eminem does not deserve it wayne does...
where the hell has eminem been in the past couple of years?
exactly.. (not to diss him because he is good just not better than wayne)
Wayne has been working his ass off so shut up with all that

no rapper comes close to lil waynes status.

Wayne was the best rapper since early 2000's-09

The countdown is of 2009, not of all time. Relapse sucked, and lil wayne only came out with rebirth which was even worse. The BLueprint 3 was amazing.

4 T.I. Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., better known by his stage names T.I. and Tip, is an American hip hop recording artist and actor born on September 25, 1980 in Atlanta, GA.

This is why hip-hop is still alive.T.I. is doing amazing in the game. No othe rapper can beat T.I. he keeps it real in his lyrics and will always be the greatest ever. King of the South!

T.I. is sick! This is why hip-hop is still alive.T.I. is the best and will always be. Better than Lil Wayne. He can kill Lil Wayne in a rap battle.

Greatest rapper in the game.T.I. can murder anyone in a rap battle. 10 times better than Lil Wayne. King of the South!

T.I. is the greatest rapper of all time. He still comes up with sick verses and can kill any other rapper that stands in his way.

5 Kid Cudi Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, better known by his stage name Kid Cudi, is an American recording artist and actor from Cleveland, Ohio.

Man on the moon was the greatest album of 2009 by far. He was so influential and helped so many people. Sad to now see him in rehab.

He's a real, everyone can relate behind doors even if they are too scared to show the world their loneliness

Kid is one of the best rappers of the 2000's no doubt. If you don't respect the Cudi you can't be a rap fan.

The most human and relatable of all these "rappers". Cudi isn't just a musician, he's a philosopher.
