Top Ten Best Rock Singers

The Contenders: Page 3XW

41Dave GrohlDavid Eric "Dave" Grohl is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is best known as the drummer for the grunge band Nirvana and the vocalist/guitarist for the alternative rock band Foo Fighters.

Grohl, in my opinion, is possibly one of the best rock singers ever, and deserves to be in the top 10. 38 is way too low for Dave- he's a ' legend, his voice is strong and rough but can be quiet and peaceful and the same time. Foo Fighter's songs are so easy to relate to, and they can make someone feel so many emotions. It's a complete shock this guy isn't in at least the top tens.

Should be in top 10! He's amazing. He has one of the best voices in rock today. Very under rated on this list. Listen to from Skin and Bones to White Limo. What a range!

Wow, I can't believe this is so far down here. His high shrills, screams, to his smooth jazzy acoustic voice is amazing. Come on!

If Nirvana was lead by him and not Cobain, the band would probably be one of my favorites.

42Bob DylanBob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, artist and writer . he won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2016 .

Are you kidding me now? Jared Leto made it to the top 3? And Bob Dylan, possibly the most influential figure in rock music all time, sits at 39? This list better be a joke.

Better songwriter than singer - gemcloben

Bob dylan's true talent is as a songwriter, but his words never really come alive until he sings them - RecklessGreed

Damn he is so cool! Why so behind?

43Michael KiskeMichael Kiske is a singer best known as the former lead vocalist for the German power metal band Helloween.

One of the best should be at least in the top Ten

Highly skilled singer... AWESOME!

44Robert PlantRobert Anthony Plant is an English musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the rock band Led Zeppelin.

Whoever made up this list is not running on all cylinders. Robert Plant is best rock vocalist ever! Most of the singers you have put above him will tell you that! Nice to know the internet will let anyone, say anything. Oh well. More accurate lists are out there that's for sure.

Why isn't he no2 or no1 he is the lead singer of Led Zeppelin who broke the Beatles record for an outsold live performance in america and his vocals are on par with freddie mercury. R.I.P Freddie

Sorry what, why is plant here? him and mercury are THE best, followed by Dickinson and maybe cobain.

Robert Plant is 61?! I'm sorry, but I think Robert Plant is great!

45Yvonne Muentener

This rockstar is totally different to all the others. Her voice makes us believe in wonders.

The coolest female rock voice ever. I thought good rock voices is a men thing. She completely changed my opinion. I love the way she's overwhelming and funny in the same go. Also her range is exciting. The style of her band Sugamice is stunning different to all the rest in the market. I believe it's impossible to find someone trying to present her songs in a caraoke show. I'd love to see that!

She's really fascinating! I love her so much!

Sugamice! Sugamice! Sugamice! The cutest mouse with the greatest voice!

49David BowieDavid Robert Jones was born in London on January 8, 1947, the son of a fundraiser and a waitress. He died in New York on January 10, 2016 at the age of 69, a hero to millions. more.

REALLY? 47? His voice could bring me back from the dead! He just created a lifetime of amazing rock music AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT HIM SOCIETY? Come on people.

Why is David Bowie so low? Listen to space oddity and starman.

Great Bowie songs:

* Heroes
* Life on Mars?
* Changes
* Rebel Rebel
* Space Oddity
* Under Pressure
* Starman
* Let's Dance
* Fame
* Ziggy Stardust
* Man who sold the World - SomewhereInLondon

50Chad KroegerChad Robert Kroeger is a Canadian musician and producer, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Canadian rock band, Nickelback.

His voice is amazing, but people just dismiss him because of his songwriting and being affiliated with Nickelback.

51Jimi HendrixJimi Hendrix (born November 27, 1942 - September 18, 1970) was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter . Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most celebrated more.

Why do all the music related lists on the Top Tens suck? Jimi deserves top 15 easily. Jared Leto is lucky to be in the Top 15,000, let alone TOP 3.

His guitar skills overshadow his voice - gemcloben

52Geoff TateGeoff Tate is a German-born American singer and musician who rose to fame in the 1980s with the progressive metal band Queensrÿche.

Geoff Tate's voice, range, power is all unbelievable. For example eyes of a stranger. In the beginning of the song his notes are very low but once you get more into the song he is screaming these powerful unbelievable notes like it's his job. He deserves to be put higher.

This dude is by far the best male vocalist of all time - all 5 octaves of it. Too bad I can't say that much about Queensryche. What a waste of his talent.

53Bryan Adams

God! Adams is a fantastic singer. He should be number 1.. His songs are so catchy..

Bryan Adam's voice is one of a kind, he is fantastic!

54Mike PattonMichael Allan "Mike" Patton is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, film composer, producer, and actor, best known as the lead singer of the alternative metal band Faith No More.

It really surprises me that nobody has put Patton on this list so far. No doubt, Freddie Mercury's an absolute genius, but Patton is more versatile that him in his crazy, experimental way. Singing - sometimes even operatic - screaming, growling, crooning, rapping; he is capable of delivering all those styles flawlessly. That guy's a sorcerer.

Mike Patton is definitely the most versatile singer ever to be in the music industry. From his calm singing voice to his insane screams and growls, the man can sing better than anybody else. I'm sorry, but anybody that has a singing range of over six octaves, can out beat anybody in a singing situation.

This guy should be in the top 5 for sure. Mike Patton is versatile and flawless when singing live.

56Klaus Meine

ARE YOU KIDDING ME he has the best rock voice in the world I know that Freddie Mercury gets all the credit but Klaus can sing WAY better then him he beats any body that is ahead of him I can't believe you guys are not voting for Klaus he is a legend I think he can sing even better then Elvis so you can call me crazy but his voice is just so smooth oh and ps:SCORPIONS ARE THE BEST BAND EVER

Klaus is easily one of the top ten rock singers of all time. Range and quality of his voice is amazing and he has been doing it for 40 plus years. No poll putting Klaus under 10 is to be remotely believed.

Any list that ranks Klaus Meine below 2nd or 3rd position of the best rock voice in the world is not reliable!

Klaus Meine is as good singer as Freddie Mercury.

57Billie Joe ArmstrongBillie Joe Armstrong is an American musician, singer, songwriter and actor who is best known as the lead vocalist, primary songwriter, and guitarist of the punk rock band Green Day, which he co-founded with Mike Dirnt.

He rules punk rock and all other rock genres. He should in the top list. His voice soothes me more then any other rock singer. Long live billie joe ling live Green Day.

The greatest modern frontman, he will go down as a legend and is well deserving of it. Great character and very energetic artist! One of the last great rock bands... Green Day!

He is one of the best and he should be in the top tens

He definitely shows some emotion!

58David GilmourDavid Jon Gilmour is an English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer.

Gilmore is certainly better than Hetfield in singing... His soft voice compliments his style of guitar play (Listen to high hopes and Shine on you crazy diamond ) unlike Metallica songs where any sort of voice would have sufficed... As far as playing guitar is concerned the only comparison gilmore would have is with Page... His solos move your very soul and leave you dazed! Kirk has fast fingers and hendrix can do stuff which no one else can do but they are in no way the same league as Gilmore... ( I have shot the concerts for most of the bands during their England tours and trust me there is no one to hold a pick to this guy! )

This right here is a damn shame! That's a sin to put gilmour this far down on the list! One of the greatest voices of all time

Are you KIDDING me? David Gilmore ranked n°61. He is the best rock singer and one of the best singers ever, because he can handle his quiet mystic voice to go with the flow of the rhymes and melodies to express the lyrics and the messages of the songs.

I am a fan of Pink Floyd and I think Gilmour had to be better than this

59Dave MustaineDavid Scott "Dave" Mustaine was born September 13, 1961. He is an American musician, singer, songwriter, actor and author. He is best known as the co-founder, guitarist, and lead singer of the American thrash metal band Megadeth, and well known as the original lead guitarist for the American heavy metal more.

Try Singing as well as he can why playing the guitar. Very Talented. -

60BonoPaul David Hewson, known by his stage name Bono, is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician, venture capitalist, businessman, and philanthropist. His original nickname was Bono Vox which means "big voice".

Perhaps other people can sing better from a technical perspective, but nobody can sing more convincingly than Bono. One in a million performer. Nobody can perform like him.

I think he deserves to be on this list. He's an amazing singer, part of one of the world's greatest bands, humanitarian and song writer. What else can you ask for?

Greatest songwriter of all time, and as for the vocals, there out of this world.

U2 rules! Especially Bono
