All-time Best San Francisco 49ers Players

The Top Ten
1 Jerry Rice Jerry Lee Rice is a former American football wide receiver who played 20 seasons in the National Football League, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers.

No doubt about it, he's simply the best. GOAT

He is Super Amazing

2 Joe Montana Joseph Clifford "Joe" Montana, Jr., nicknamed Joe Cool and The Comeback Kid, is a retired American football quarterback.

The best. He played when defenses were much stronger and when they were allowed to hit downfield receivers got destroyed going over middle. If he played with rules today n he threw 50x a game he would probably through 50 tds a season. When he threw 5tds in super bowl he did it in 3quarters and only threw 29 pass attempts today qb gets hit hard it's automatic first down and 15 yard penalty it's ridiculous look how Brady did against strong giant defenses and raven defenses he didn't look great back then you had 10 defenses like them and better bears. Giants 49ers. Eagles Vikings saints. Had strong defenses with great pass rushers

Oh yeah, he was the best from championships to clutch drives, one of which kick started the 1987 49ers. In Game 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals with 2 seconds to go, with the 49ers trailing 26-20, Montana threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jerry Rice to give the 49ers a 27-26 win at Cincinnati.

3 Steve Young Jon Steven Young is a former professional American football quarterback who played 15 seasons in the National Football League and is best known for his 13 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

Best all around qb of his generation. If not for him snd his run against Minnesota, Niners have 1 less SB

4 Ronnie Lott

One of many great 49ers that played on the greatest 49er team of ALL TIME 1984. Though he only made 51 tackles due to injury that limited him to play just 12 games, he did intercepted 4 passes and still made great plays that was still good enough for him to play in the Pro Bowl. In 1986, he was healthy again and he was on fire as he led the NFL in interceptions with 10 and forced 3 fumbles. Lott was named to the first team 1980s NFL ALL-Decade Team.

Every one loves a QB but when you want that hunting fir that first down you get gore for some more!

The guy was a great secondary player for the 49ers in the 90's. Merton certainly had one of the top necks in league history...
