Best Songs from The Beach Boys' Album Pet Sounds

This album was voted by Rolling Stone as the 2nd greatest album of all time, and here are the 10 greatest songs from this wonderful album.
The Top Ten
1 God Only Knows

My vote goes straight to this song. It's Just The Best. In Fact it's Paul McCartney's Favorite Song.

Absolutely agree with the top two. God only knows is so heartwarming and sung so beautifully.

I like this better than Wouldn't It Be Nice.

2 Wouldn't It Be Nice

Great opening track. Sweetly innocent, catchy tune

Really catchy

3 Sloop John B
4 You Still Believe in Me

This is the most underrated yet beautiful song ever. This is most definitely the number one song on Pet Sounds for me. The vocals are haunting, the lyrics truly capture the heart and can be related to any relationship, and the instrumentals... oh, the instrumentals... are so unbelievably gorgeous, they make me feel as if I'm in an ethereal meadow. This song truly is magical. It has this joyful, whimsical vibe to it that makes your heart flutter and your mind awaken with optimism. I have listened to this song countless times and it has never gotten old. I'm sorry for rambling on and on about it, I just love this masterpiece of a song so much.

One of the Beach Boys' more underrated songs. Sir Paul McCartney has named it as one of his favpurtes.

Hands down my favorite song the Beach Boys ever recorded.

5 Caroline, No
6 That's Not Me

An underrated gem from the album. The melody itself is beautiful, especially the "I once had a dream" refrain. And the lyrics might be Tony Asher's best on the album. The only competition is "God Only Knows", one of my all time favorite songs...

7 Here Today
8 Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)
9 I Just Wasn't Made for These Times

I read somewhere that you can interpret this song as Brian's album, Pet Sounds, not being received well upon release, even though his genius is obvious in retrospect. Hindsight is 20/20

If I could sum up my life with a title it would be this. And it belongs to the Beach Boys!

10 I'm Waiting for the Day
The Contenders
11 I Know There's an Answer

This song was originally going to be "Hang onto your ego."
"Now what can you tell them? And what can you say that won't make them defensive? Hang onto your ego, Hang on but I know that you're going to lose the fight."
Those are some of my favorite lyrics of all time.

This song belongs in a tie with Caroline No for the best song on the album(or at the absolute worst, a very close second to Caroline No), hands down.
PERIOD.

What more can I tell 'ya?
IT'S JUST A FACT!

12 Pet Sounds

The title track is last? Should be first

13 Let's Go Away for Awhile

Are the instrumentals really on the bottom just because they're instrumentals? I mean, I agree with the list for the most part, but those two songs definitely deserve to be higher, so I voted for this one.

The instrumentals on this album are good and it's shameful that they take the last two places on this list.

It's in baby driver so
