Best Bollywood Movies of the 21st Century

The best Indian movies made since the year 2000. The reason I made a time limit was to separate the "classics" and the new movies without any controversy. Let's see which one wins!
The Top Ten
1 Rang De Basanti

Absolutely 10/10 in every way. Superb acting, exceptional music, everything's just perfect. The most complete and talented cast I've ever seen. Bollywood at its best.

2 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Probably the newest movie on this list, but no less deserving. Farhan Akhtar's acting was phenomenal, and the presentation was amazing. Really inspiring.

The director doesn't force you to love all the characters in this movie, which is great. I hope farhan goes far

3 3 Idiots

Rather overrated in my opinion, but still a great movie. The story is a little far-fetched, and Aamir Khan's acting wasn't that praiseworthy (compared to his other works).

The movie is too good for the teen aged people, especially the students.

Best movie I have ever watched

4 Black

The best acting I've ever seen. Amitabh Bachchan was simply awe-inspiring. A complete lack of songs added to the depth of the movie.

5 Gangs of Wasseypur

This is probably one of the only Bollywood movie which can compete on an international level. Reminds me of the Godfather series a lot, but it's presented in a really Indian style.

6 Taare Zameen Par

One of the most emotional and touching movies I've ever seen, 9/10.

7 Barfi!

Surprisingly deep. Priyanka Chopra's best performance, no doubt.

8 Devdas

Clichéd and dramatic, but that's the best part. Awesome acting by all three leads. Great songs and dialogue, too.

9 A Wednesday!

A very, very powerful movie, and it makes it a real impact. The final monologue by Naseeruddin Shah was just awesome.

10 The Lunchbox

Simplicity at its best. It's a really deep movie, and open to interpretation. Not for everyone, requires a really intelligent audience. Irrfan Khan is one of the most talented actors in the industry for sure.

The Contenders
11 Chennai Express
12 Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Nicest Akshay Kumar work. Praiseworthy, comedy, drama & thriller.

13 Bajrangi Bhaijaan

It is a beautiful movie about a young mute Pakistani girl lost in India, and her journey back home with an Indian Hindu man (Salman Khan.) This movie has an underlying message that is important for us all - do not judge or discriminate against someone by the country they are from, or their religion.

14 Dangal

This way this movie was filmed is amazing! 9/10

15 Hera Pheri
16 Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
17 Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Here's how to celebrate road trips and celebrate friendship.

18 Table No. 21

One of the best Thriller of Bollywood...With Strong Message
