Top 10 Countries With the Best Singers and Bands

Filipinos are best known for singing, regardless of age, race, gender, or whether they are a professional or just a simple citizen of the country. I think it is part of their culture. Karaoke is everywhere. Most Filipino families celebrate birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and other special events with karaoke. That is why it has been adapted by generations.

Obviously, Filipinos are known for bananas, mangoes, food delicacies, and islands. However, Filipinos are also good at singing, which you can find everywhere. Filipinos barely use auto-tunes. You can try it and you can ask someone for them to sing something to you, and it's really great, I swear.

But because of their economics, or whatever it's called, their talents for singing are not well-known around the world. Also, some of them are too shy, or they do not realize what a great talent they have. They keep looking down on themselves, but not all of them. There are still Filipinos who are showing their great talents not only in their country but also to the world.

I really have many things to say about their singing, but I hope this helps.

I don't care what anyone says, America created the most popular music genres in the world. So, all these people saying K-pop is good should remember that they use a lot of auto-tune as well. In reality, they can't sing any better than anyone else. They are primarily popular for their looks. I think India also has some really great singers, as do Latin Americans with beautiful voices like Luis Miguel, Yuri, and Ricardo Montaner. But either way, America will always be number one because it created the remarkable genres we have today.

Additionally, I have not seen any better singers than Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, among many other legendary artists. As for the Philippines, I don't really have much of an opinion on why it's ranked number 1. I have never heard any type of Pinoy music, so I can't say whether it's bad or good. But I believe America deserves its place.

There are some singers I know from this country. I just love their songs!

Well, AC/DC has sold over 90 million albums. The Bee Gees have sold over 80 million albums, and Olivia Newton-John has sold 30 million albums. These three artists started their recording careers in Australia. Other Australian music exports like INXS, The Little River Band, Kylie Minogue, and Men At Work have each sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Additionally, Silverchair has sold over 10 million albums. John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes (solo), and Cold Chisel combined, along with country singer Slim Dusty, have sold over 6 million albums. That is all quite impressive for a country of 24 million people.

I am surprised this is not first. After all, most classical composers came from Germany. Besides, they have a nice, strong voice filled with accent.

Indian classical music is the best in the world. Even some from the West come to learn Indian music. No other country has music as soothing as Carnatic and Hindustani music.

As a learner of Carnatic music and someone who has listened to Western music too, I proudly say that our music is far ahead. However, it often goes underrated. Many Indians are blindly following the West.

Even many Indian songs now are composed in Western scales, which is not good. Our music is our identity. Punjabi music, Hindustani music, and Carnatic music must be the top three.

This is so biased. Who conducted this research? I disagree with South Korea being ranked 20th. There are many more strong singers in South Korea than even in America or the UK. However, since most South Koreans don't sing in English and their music isn't marketed globally, you can't really benchmark Korean music. What the West is exposed to is just the tip of the iceberg. Some of the world's best musicians hail from South Korea.

South Koreans are extremely tenacious and do not settle for mediocrity as a nation. There is a lot of competition, and if you don't keep producing music regularly, you just don't make it in South Korea. Consequently, most Korean artists diligently study music and singing, often surpassing Americans, who frequently lack technical training. I believe Filipinos probably have natural talent, largely because they sing English songs. Having watched singing competitions, I noticed many exceptionally talented performers in America and the UK are few. However, watch South Korean shows, and you'll find that 90% of entrants sing extremely well.

Lebanese singers have great talent and voice. They can also speak fluently in three languages. The best singers include Elissa, Nancy Ajram, and Myriam Fares.

We have the best DJs who are known worldwide, and a lot of the shows they have in other countries began in the Netherlands, for example, The Voice.

Just watch The Voice of Holland, and you'll understand!

U2, Enya, The Dubliners, The Pogues, Ronan Keating, and so on. Ireland has, in my opinion, the best artists.

Ireland's singers have a distinct voice compared to others if you get what I'm saying.

Just think of great bands like L'arc en Ciel or X Japan - that is just the cherry on top! There are lots of great artists in Japan who can perform without autotune. Not all good Japanese music is in anime. In fact, anime songs cannot be compared to the real thing. Overall, it is better than most music from the USA. I am neither American nor Japanese.

Are you kidding? Pakistani singers are actually the best. I do not like being biased because I haven't explored some of the top countries listed here, but Pakistan is definitely underrated. NFAK would have performances where English people would attend! We need more recognition of Pakistani classical music today. They excel in every genre of music, though they sometimes face low exposure because it is Pakistan. And that is sad.

This is true. Bands were popular during the 90s, and during that period, Pakistan's pop scene was flourishing. At present, considering everything Pakistan has to offer, they have definitely made their mark and done justice to the music Pakistan has always excelled in. Bands are very much alive in Pakistan. I wish the world would give Pakistan a chance to listen to their music too.
