This cover came out in 2013 and is the band's tribute to the great Jon Lord, featuring a guest performance by Firewind keyboardist Bob Katsionis. All proceeds from sales will be donated to The Sunflower Jam charity which Jon Lord was a big part of.

A cover from the album P.T. Power Trio 2 (2006). Pat Travers is a Canadian rock guitarist, keyboardist and singer for Pat Travers Band.
Hellion, a Los Angeles female-fronted metal band, recorded it in 1982 (came out in 1983).
This cover reveals something about the original - Black Night is a pretty thrashy song, especially the riffing. Hellion slightly modified the riff and you can hear that the riff is actually very thrashy.

B side of single: "Dive, Dive, Dive", recorded live in 1990. He and his band would perform it live during the Tattooed Millionaire tour. Bruce Dickinson also performed this cover several times later (live). No surprise, Bruce Dickinson is a big Deep Purple fan and Ian Gillan was his vocal idol.
An electronic version (1991).
Believe it or not, there is a ska version (1997). Some of the funniest sounding covers of relatively heavy songs are namely ska versions (I love ska covers of thrash songs, haha).
The Fall is a post-punk group that integrated "Black Night" into their own medley composition "Cash 'n' Carry" (1982).
