Considering what an awards juggernaut Tarantino is, it's a shame that this went overlooked while his weaker work a decade later got all the glory. At the very least, Pam Grier should have got a Best Actress nod, since her performance is great and is one of the most underrated of the 90s. - Mrveteran

Its only nomination was Best Supporting Actor (Robert Forster). It should have been nominated for Best Actress (Pam Grier) and Best Adapted Screenplay. - BeatlesFan1964

Definitely. Fantastic film, and John Singleton's screenplay & direction is superb, and demonstrates more skill and maturity at the young age of 23 than most directors do at twice his age. - Mrveteran

Acting was excellent from everyone, & yet not so much as a nomination! How sad.
