Top 10 Most Disappointing Albums of 2013

Biggest letdowns from musical artists of 2013. So far, please don't purchase this listed albums and save your money.
The Top Ten
1 Artpop - Lady Gaga

By far the biggest disappointment in 2013, Lady Gaga unsuccessfully re-established herself with an album more reminiscent of a pop/electronic jumbled mess. None of the songs on the album fail to capture the same essence of her trademark songs such as "Bad Romance" or "Poker Face". Even a good amount of her "Little Monsters" voiced their disappointment for the album over twitter, Facebook, etc. Applause, it's lead single, only peaked at #4 and was held from ever hitting the top spot by Katy Perry's "Roar", which is also a bad track all in itself. "Do What you Want", it's second single featuring R. Kelly, is probably the best song on the LP, considering the rest of the album cuts feel more like album fillers. She executed electronic/dance music effortlessly on her debut album "The Fame", but yet, on this album, it feels more like ear-torture.

This album is full dubstep, and the lyrics are the most stupid I have ever seen in my whole life. I been waiting for this since the Born This Way Ball, critics were saying that this would be the revolution of pop, the new Ray Of Light (Madonna album that revolucionated pop music)
I was so so so excited for the debut day. I just remember that I did throw up in the day I listened to it.
I don't even know if the songs in ARTPOP are real music, they don't even have instruments.

Best album of 2013. Do not compare Katy Perry to Lady Gaga. Katy Perry has more hit songs but Lady Gaga has true talent and that isn't measured in #1 songs. ARTPOP is one of the most underrated albums in pop history.

Rebel Heart is the newest Artpop. Living for Love is Applause, Thank you Madonna Lady gaga is disappointed

2 Britney Jean - Britney Spears

Ok, ok, ok

First Britney Spears has a lead single called "ohh la la"

Actually not bad, kind of the only kid friendly song on the album... The music video really disappointed me, as an amateur video editor I know Britney's crew could do it SO Much Better

Then Work B*tch... No positive words... But is ear torture... Its kind of a light version of Nicki Minaj's stupid hoe... So as perfume

Then again... Perfume... With a high pitched voice and boring senseless lyrics so as not a decent beat

WHERE IS BRITNEY'S CAREER GOING? OHH LA LA... WORK B*TCH... PERFUME they have noting in common...

Britney is just desperately trying to get to the top again... Britney jean surprisingly debuted at number 4 on billboard... This album doesn't even deserves to be in top 20

Dear Britney Spears,
DON'T LET will.i.am TOUCH YOUR FUTURE ALBUMS. His cheap production is scattered all throughout this flop of an album. The songs sound like they were written in two minutes, none of them have appeal, and the lead single "Work Bitch" never even cracked the Top 10. The album was panned by critics as well, noting that her voice sounds more like an underwater robot than a human being. She never had the best voice in the industry, but it worked for her back in 1999 with songs like "Baby One More Time" and "Oops I Did it Again". The album only charted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums, making it the worst-performing Britney Spears album of all time.

3 Bangerz - Miley Cyrus

While many criticized Miley Cyrus's new look and antics, shedding her wholesome disney image for one that is pretty much the polar opposite, her first two singles were great! "We Can't Stop", which charted at #2, is a fun party song that manages to not cross over the line of "pop nonsense". "Wrecking Ball", charted at #1, most likely for it's highly controversial video of good ol Miley swinging on a wrecking ball in her birthday suit, is also a great pop ballad. It seemed as if she was finally getting something right with this song, after the trainwreck of the VMA performance with Robin Thicke. However, the album in itself is just boring. It's not something you can just relax and listen to, most of the tracks are both extremely monotonous and obnoxious. None of the songs have the same single appeal as "Wrecking Ball" & "We Can't Stop" did. At least she has two "bangerz" on this album that should've been called "fillerz".

Did anyone really expect any of these albums to be good? Aside from Timberlake and Kanye, who were coming off groundbreaking albums in their respective genres, and Eminem, who once produced possibly the greatest rap album of all time. The rest of this list is more like the top 10 worst, not 10 most disappointing

Miley is really the worst person out there. She is not grateful to Disney. Actually this stupid doesn't even realize the fact that she is in such a high position today because of Disney. She really needs therapy. She's mentally and physically sick. Actually her father is the biggest nonsense out there. Her songs are totally disgusting and don't make any sense. She's just busy to be the next Lady Gaga being dirty. No wonder why Liam left her. She deserves it. I hope she just goes away from Hollywood and give space to the clean singers out there. She's the most irritating person ever. I should say 'Abhor You' you dirty, slutty pornstar. All you can do is being naked and teaching how to masturbate on stage and on videos... please die you horrible bitch...

4 Excuse My French - French Montana

It's a good album! I don't know what these people are talking about. Not all the songs are good, but most of them are!

All there is to say about this garbage of an album is that it's a disgrace to rap/hip-hop.

5 Prism - Katy Perry

Katy Perry is probably one of the most overrated acts of this decade. She can barely sing her own songs live, but has managed to completely dominate the charts. Her previous album, "Teenage Dream", spawned SIX #1 singles, tying with Michael Jackson for most #1 songs from a single album. However, Prism fails to recreate the energy and liveliness that "Teenage Dream" possessed. "Roar" it's lead single that not surprisingly peaked at #1, probably would not have done so well if it weren't sung by one of the biggest pop acts of today. It has the same chord progression, lyrical message, and is sang in the exact same key as Sara Bareilles' "Brave", which is actually a good song about staying true to yourself. It's second single, "Unconditionally", has done poorer sales-wise than one of the promotional singles (and the best track on the record) "Dark Horse", which features rapper Juicy J. This record has the same problem that Miley Cyrus's "Bangerz" has, the songs that aren't singles are mere ...more

Neeko's wrong Perry tweets Bareiles before Brave comes out but they don't sounds the same in the intro, Unconditionally was being true of love and became greatest hits of Katy Perry and Dark Horse was even greatest hits and the music video rocks unlike the other divas contemporary videos

6 Avril Lavigne - Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne used to be one of the best acts in the 2000's. Her debut album "Let Go" sold 17 million copies worldwide, and spawned her classic hits "Complicated", "I'm With You", and "Sk8er Boi". Two years later, she released another incredible album titled "Under My Skin", that provided us with more hits like "My Happy Ending" and "Nobody's Home" and sold 12 million copies worldwide. Then came her #1 hit "Girlfriend" (which was the top selling song worldwide in 2007) and it's also enjoyable album "The Best Damn Thing". Although a mainstream act, she succeeded in keeping a unique pop-punk image, setting herself apart from her peers at the time like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Unfortunately, 11 years after her debut, she has conformed to the nonsense that is pop music today. Trading electric guitars for synthesizers, many Avril fans were left disappointed that their idol had stripped what was left of her pop-punk image, for well, just pop. The lead single "Here's to Never ...more

I actullay still love Avril. All you saying this album was garbage are wrong. The only song from this album that I was dissatisfied of was Hello Kitty. Good, but not spellbinding like her others.

7 The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 - Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake had a lot to follow up with after his extremely successful comeback album, titled "The 20/20 Experience". The album spawned hits "Suit & Tie" & "Mirrors", which charted at #3 and #2 respectively, and the album sold 968,000 copies in it's first week. However, his follow up, or "Part 2" of the 20/20 Experience feels more like a 10/20 experience. "Take Back The Night" and overly long "TKO" don't have the same magic as the singles off the first edition of "20/20 Experience". Record sales dropped 81% in it's second week. Although this album was a disappointment, props to Justin for succesfully re-establishing his music career with the original "20/20 Experience", which was the most successful album of 2013.

This wasn't disapointing.
This album was actually pretty good

8 Magna Carta... Holy Grail - Jay Z

This latest offering from rap-mogul JAY Z is lukewarm at best. "Holy Grail", it's lead single featuring Justin Timberlake, is the only gem on this record.

9 Yeezus - Kanye West

Although acclaimed by critics, as is any Kanye West album, this new offering doesn't have the same power that West's previous albums like "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", "808s and Heartbreak", and "Graduation" obtained. Fans blame Kim Kardashian, whom he recently had a kid with named "North West" (I'm not kidding), was blamed for disappointing record sales. Although debuting with 300,000+ in the first week, sales quickly diminished, as no tracks from the album seemed to garner any hype. Months later, an extremely awkward music video featuring Kardashian was made to "Bound 2", one of the tracks off of "Yeezus". The video was panned by both critics and fans and was even parodied by Seth Rogen and James Franco. As always, Kanye West very publicly voiced his anger/disappointment that he wasn't nominated for more Grammys this year, but as a listener, it's pretty understandable.

10 The Marshall Mathers LP 2 - Eminem

Screw this list this is the best Eminem album ever I have decided. maybe not a lyrical al sslp and the 1st mmlp but it shows all his improvement

The Contenders
11 I Am Not a Human Being 2 - Lil Wayne

Worst album. I think weezy is gone crazy. Art pop is really good and should have not been in this list. Lil Wayne's previous album was great. I especially loved his works after the critically acclaimed the Carter 3. Weezy please make good albums, you are very talented and do not lose hope, you are still the best rapper in the world after Eminent and you can still make good albums in the future. All the best and wish you good luck for That Carter 5. Love you and I bet that the Carter 5 is going to be the best album of 2015. Please don't retire cause your fans including me love and want more from you.

13 Living for the Weekend - The Saturdays
14 DNA - Little Mix
