Top 10 Most Disappointing Wrestling Video Games

They may not nessasarly be bad games, but they just didn't live up to the hype. Feel free to disagree.
The Top Ten
1 WWE 2K15

This game was hailed as the first attempt on next gen consoles. It was hailed to have the best graphics of all time. It was hailed as the game that revived the career mode. But there was one aspect that they forgot, gameplay. With just over half the roster size of last year, tons of creative suite omissions, and one of the worst career modes ever made this one of the most disappointing games of all time. And to make matters worse, almost nothing else was changed.

My aunt spent $64 dollars for this hunk of garbage... I can't take it back to shop either. It'd be disrespectful. They have taken away at least 55% of the best features and on PS4 they took away create-a-diva. Well, that's it for me... Until further notice.

2 WWE '12

With the brand wars essentially dead, this was supposed to give the WWE games a fresh new start. With the best graphics in any fighting game I had seen at the time, it was looking like it would be amazing. But we got a game that was nearly a step back. It promised a create an arena, but it was just a ringside, and just weak. The backstage areas had become watered down, and no longer had weapons. And then, the dreaded Road to Wrestlemania, which was way too linear, and just didn't fit the name.

3 WWE SmackDown vs. Raw

After the wildly popular Smackdown Here Comes the Pain, fans were hoping that the sequel would be just as good. Unfortunately, it wasnt. The backstage areas were more limited, the season mode was too linear, the voice overs were bad, and it just didn't feel right.

4 WWE Wrestlemania X8

It had been over 18 long months since Nintendo consoles got a WWE game, since the legendary WWF No Mercy. Early screenshots, showed amazing additions. Tables matches, Multi Man Cage matches, Hell in a Cell. It just looked like it would surpass the last game. Unfortunately there were many problems. Backstages areas; gone, editing any character; gone, an expansive championship mode; gone. It just didn't live up to the hype.

5 WWF Raw (Xbox)

This first attempt at a WWF game on a Microsoft console was over hyped, and under delievered. The graphics may have been ahead of it's time, but it lacked so much. There weren't any real gimmick matches. No Cage, Hell in a Cell, Table, or Ladder Matches. Plus it had many AI and Control Problems. Foruntately, Raw 2 obliterated the original.

6 WWE: Smackdown! Just Bring It!

Being the first 6th Gen WWF game has a lot of hype on it, and the trailer added even more. Unfortuately, it felt unpolished. About half the characters as Know Your Role, Unbearable commentary, and an abysmal story mode, made it a forgettable game.

7 Wrestlemania 21

After the great Raw 2, we had to wait a year and a half for another WWE Xbox game. Incredible graphics fooled us all into believing it was going to be awesome. However, there was just one thing that made it one of the worst WWE games of the melenium, the AI. It is the worst AI of any Wrestling game. Not 2K14, not Smackdown vs Raw, not TNA the game, this game.

8 WWF In Your House

Wrestlemania Arcade Game has a great nostalgia effect on many people. Unfortunately it's doesn't have the same effect. It plays the same, and has no improvments. Now the gameplay is not as good.

9 Showdown: Legends of Wrestling

Legends of Wrestling 2, one of the most underrated games of all time. And you would think the third time would be the charm right, ironically, this is the worst of the bunch. Sure it had the best graphics, but it had commentary rivaling that of Just Bring It, a poorly done Cage match, and more bugs than Yoda's swamp.

10 WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 (Wii)

With a system with as many innovation as the Wii this should have been destined for greatness. But instead, we get the biggest insult to Nintendo fans ever. Only five match types were in the game, Single, Hardcore, Tag Team, Triple Threat, and KO. The only other mode was a very lackluster career mode, with zero cutscenes, and zero story.

Oh my gawd... That's horrible. But I wouldn't have bought a wrestling game on the Wii anyway.

The Wii version sucks but the PS3 version is great. Not made for Wii.

The Contenders
11 WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain
12 WWE 2K18 (Nintendo Switch)
13 WWE 2K16
14 WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011
15 WWE 2K17 (XBOX 360)

It was awful because I got it on Christmas Eve and I was so disappointed because they had no career mode, no 2k showcase, very awful backstage brawl with no weapons and very little match types
