King Ghidorah is one of Godzilla's most well known enemies. First appearing in 1964's Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster, he has gone on to appear in more films than most other Godzilla foes. Ghidorah is not only the most powerful Godzilla villain but also the coolest. Just listen to his roar (2019). He can regrow heads, shoot gravity beams that can disintegrate people in one shot. He also became the new alpha in the 2019 movie. He is smart and can survive the oxygen destroyer. Forget Destroyah, Gigan, and Megalon. Even Anime Godzilla would have a hard time beating Ghidorah.
And there's even an Anime Ghidorah who EATS PLANETS AND IS HUGE! The one who is many. He is so powerful that he's Godzilla's arch-nemesis. Even though Godzilla burned him with his hydroneuclear pulses, the middle head still survived. Which goes to show that Ghidorah is the true villain in Godzilla and that no villain is as despicable, villainous, or powerful as King Ghidorah. Long live the one who is many!
This guy is absolutely insane! He took on the fourth most powerful version of Godzilla. In my opinion, Godzilla Earth is first, Godzilla Final Wars second, and Legendary Godzilla third. Can someone take off all the different versions of Godzilla on this list? Godzilla isn't evil, unless you count the Godzilla Mothra and King Ghidorah Giant Monsters All-Out Attack one, but that one isn't even Godzilla, but a demon created by the spirits of those the Japanese killed in World War II. Also, all Godzilla versions are the same. Please remove Minilla, Rodan, and Mothra. If I made this list, it would be (from 1-5) Destroyah, Monster X, Spacegodzilla, Mechagodzilla, and Ghidorah. Destroyah killed Godzilla's son, for crying out loud! Oh, and he had fun doing it. He loves causing pain and suffering and enjoys it. He is easily the most evil kaiju of all time, and the second most powerful out of all the Titans. Only Godzilla can beat him. He is the most powerful villainous kaiju ever.
He is like Venom. He is an evil counterpart to Godzilla. His arsenal is massive.
He almost killed Godzilla! He has a beam cannon, chest cannon, missiles, electricity, eye cannons, and can combine with another vehicle to make Super Mecha Godzilla.

In movies with this big, strong, powerful robot, he is so good at hurting Godzilla that in Godzilla vs. Kong, he almost wiped Godzilla out!
It was a close call between Gigan and Spacegodzilla, but everyone knows Gigan is badass. He worked with KG to kill Godzilla and Anguirus. He also worked with Megalon to kill Godzilla and Jet Jaguar. And in Final Wars, he worked with Monster X to kill Godzilla. He also got cool chainsaw hands.
It's obvious Gigan is more of a sidekick to the main villain, but that doesn't stop him from being a threat.
I think that Gigan was a tough opponent for Godzilla. Although he was the sidekick of Monster X, he was very tough with those two bladed, seriously sharp chainsaw hands, and the knife-like ones. It was so cool that it had three wings. I think it was the coolest monster that fought with Godzilla.
Like Mechagodzilla, he is an evil incarnate of the hero. SpaceGodzilla is one powerful foe too. He has a twirling spiral beam and can use telekinesis to lift Godzilla and throw him into a building. Godzilla needed Moguera's help to kill him. He also kidnapped Godzilla's son. SpaceGodzilla was created when Biollante's cells floated up to space. He is a very cool monster.
He brought Godzilla down to his knees in their first encounter and needed two monsters to defeat him. He also has solar system level feats.
He has a lot of powers including telekinesis and flying. My favorite Godzilla foe.
M.U.T.O. and MUTO PRIME are more powerful than Biollante! If they do not team up together, they are still powerful! The MUTO Prime can take down Biollante hard! He has protective armor.

M.U.T.O is awesome but Godzilla wrecked him by breathing his atomic breath into his mouth. Rest in peace, M.U.T.O.
Biollante is the largest Godzilla monster ever, large enough to fit Godzilla's head in it! She also punctured Godzilla's hands with her vines. She can also spit acid on Godzilla. And she is Godzilla's genetic sister.
There is no way she is weaker than the M.U.T.O.s.

Monster X, or Keizer Ghidorah, is the final enemy Godzilla faces in the entire Japanese series. Is it any surprise he would be on here? Monster X, his first form, is so strong he can go toe-to-toe with Godzilla and can also shoot lasers from his eyes. After 'Monster X' is defeated, he transforms into Keizer Ghidorah.
Keizer is shown to be very powerful as he throws Godzilla around with his gravity beams like he's nothing. Keizer also technically beat Godzilla. If it wasn't for the humans, then Godzilla would have basically died. So, you may be wondering why he is only number 8? Well, he has only occurred once and is basically just a grey KG with four legs.
Hedorah is kind of scary with those eyes. He almost beat Godzilla if it wasn't for the military. He can shoot poo at you and an eye laser too. He was kind of unkillable as Godzilla's atomic breath did little damage to him. He can also fly too. Hedorah was a great monster and also spread a message about pollution.
He melted Godzilla's hand down to bone, something no kaiju in the Showa Era was able to do. Godzilla needed humans to help him defeat this smog monster, who can also evolve.
This monster is amazing and also way too underrated. It definitely deserves the title of one of the best Showa era monsters.
Megalon, the giant killing, destructive beetle, I mean like beetles are scary. They attack random people. He is a pretty good kaiju, strong, and he is pals with Gigan. And he can dig.
King Kong is a giant movie monster, resembling a colossal ape, that has appeared in various media since 1933. The character first appeared in the 1933 film King Kong, which received universal acclaim upon its initial release and re-releases. King Kong is one of the most intelligent of the Kaiju. He can use tools and stood a great chance in his fights against Godzilla. Sure, he is not super charged with atomic radiation, but he doesn't need to be. He is the King of Skull Island for a reason.
King Kong was the first 'foe', since Anguirus is shown to be a close friend to Godzilla later on, he deserves to be on this list. He is also a major movie monster as well. Though if we were to think this out, King Kong is like 20 feet tall while Godzilla is like 100 feet, so he could stop King Kong.
Probably loves Mothra in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and is bad with those wings able to cause disasters. I'm speaking Rodan.
Rodan, Lord of the Volcano, King of the Skies. The one born of fire, a titan of winged fury. Big bird, flying hell.

Mothra is the Queen of the Monsters in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Mothra is powerful, can deal with Rodan, and doesn't play with enemies.

Battra, Mothra's enemy, is bad. Mothra teamed with him in the 1992 film, Mothra vs. Godzilla, and the Cosmos helped. Together, they defeated Godzilla, and Battra sacrificed himself to do so. An asteroid was coming, and Mothra promised to save the world.
Basically, Mothra but stronger, more durable, and more physically powerful. He could contend with Heisei Godzilla and he has planetary feats.
He chased Godzilla away in their first encounter and beat Godzilla, nearly killing him. In their third encounter, he was equal to Godzilla. In their fourth fight, he critically wounded Godzilla and incapacitated him. He's basically a stronger version of Mechagodzilla.
So damn powerful, like Mechagodzilla, and he almost legitimately killed Godzilla.
Gamera is a giant monster or daikaiju originating from a series of Japanese tokusatsu films of the same name. Gamera is Godzilla's near equal, despite not being part of the same universe. He has feats comparable to Godzilla and massively increases in power. He has planetary feats.

This huge thing is massive, can destroy chunks of Earth, and is Void Ghidorah's enemy. As always, Godzilla is Ghidorah's arch nemesis, but they are both savage.
