Top Ten Female Singers With the Best Talent/Voice of All Time

The Top Ten
1 Jackie Evancho Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Evancho is an American classical crossover singer who gained wide recognition at an early age. Since 2009, she has issued an EP and eight albums, including a platinum and gold album, and three Billboard 200 top 10 debuts. Evancho's latest album 'The Debut', was her eighth consecutive release to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Albums chart... read more

Jackie is now 15 years old, her voice has grown richer, warmer, more mature. With flawless pitch, consistent tone and smooth delivery, her voice is unequaled. Recently she sang a duet with Andrea Bocelli, which is one of the ultimate achievements for a female singer in the Classical Crossover genre.

Jackie Evancho is the greatest, most versatile, purest, and most emotional singer I have ever have the fortune to hear. She does not deserve all the hate and skepticism that critics throw at her. One of the few who appreciate classical these days. Mesmerizing! Ingenious!

There is something in that voice like an extra dimension.
Something many are not used to hearing, and sometimes resist and deny.
Recommend: Surrender and rediscover your blunted emotions.

2 K.S. Chithra Krishnan Nair Shantakumari Chithra, often credited as K. S. Chithra or simply Chithra, is an Indian playback singer from Kerala. Chithra also sings Indian classical, devotional, and popular music.

Chithra possessed the most extraordinary singing voice in Indian popular music, covering a wide range of styles including folk, country, rock, pop, Indian standards, and jazz. Aside from her amazingly powerful, yet sweet voice, Chithra's diversity puts her on top in my opinion. Who else could sing so many different styles of music and do them so successfully? Nobody before or after her, and there will never be another one like her. Chithra is truly an angel from heaven on Earth

Chithra is technically a brilliant singer! Actually an underrated singer for me, she deserves more credit than what she has actually had...

Chithra has amazing range, and has such power with her voice. However, the most unique thing about her singing is the passion she puts into it, no one can compare with that.

3 Alison Krauss Alison Maria Krauss is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. She entered the music industry at an early age, winning local contests by the age of 10 and recording for the first time at 14.

When Alison was created, all the angels got together, and decided that each and every one of them would give a little of themselves to Alison. When they were done, even God himself looked down, and said, "Now that's what I'm talking about! " Truly the best voice on the planet, and loaded with tons of other talents as well. A generous, beautiful, humble musician, singer, producer, and arranger, who learned a long time ago, that often less is more. Folks, it doesn't get any better than this. She's the real deal!

No other word describes her other than amazing. There are some suberb vocalists on this list, but I also see it asking for best talent. Alison is easily one of the best fiddlers in the country, if not the world. She won multiple state contests before she hit her teens, and she had her own band at 14. She's won more Grammys than ANY other female vocalist, and is tied with the top male, Stevie Wonder. 27 Grammies. 27! And that's not citizen-voted. That is judged by professionals who know the art and know talent when they see it.

4 Aretha Franklin Aretha Louise Franklin (March 25, 1942 - August 16, 2018) was an American singer, songwriter and pianist. She began her career as a child singing gospel at New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, where her father, C. L. Franklin, was minister.

Referred to as the "Queen of Soul", she has twice been placed ninth in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". With global sales... read more

Seriously, Taylor, katy, and ariana are higher than Aretha franklin? Like the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, wow.

So sad that an "entertainer" like Beyoncé who can not actually sing, but does dance up a storm, is ranked above Lady Soul.

She is a legend...No contest here

5 Linda Ronstadt Linda Maria Ronstadt is a retired American popular music singer. She earned 11 Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music awards, an Emmy Award, an ALMA Award, and numerous United States and internationally certified gold, platinum and multi platinum albums.

Linda Ronstadt possessed the most extraordinary singing voice in American popular music, covering a wide range of styles including folk, country, rock, pop, American standards, Mexican, Latin, and jazz. Aside from her amazingly powerful, yet sweet voice, Linda's diversity puts her on top in my opinion. Who else could sing so many different styles of music and do them so successfully? Nobody before or after her, and there will never be another one like her. Linda Ronstadt is truly an angel from heaven on Earth and she is a national treasure. Even though sadly she can no longer sing, her accomplishments and contributions to the music world will forever be cherished for generations to come.

There aren't too many singers who are as fervently admired and emulated as Linda Ronstadt continues to be, even if she had to retire because of Parkinson's. Not only do her peers continue to listen to Linda's albums, but in many ways they actually STUDY them--something that was rarely seen before, and what we really haven't seen since (and probably never will again). Whether it's folk, pop, rock, country, jazz, Mexican, or opera, she mastered every genre, not out of chasing trends but out of being committed to the art of song; and her fans and her peers admire the hell out of her for it.

6 Ariana Grande Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her four-octave vocal range has received critical acclaim, and her personal life has been the subject of widespread media attention. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including two Grammy Awards, one Brit Award, one Bambi Award, two Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards,... read more

Yeah her songs may not be as catchy or get stuck in your head as much as other celebrity's songs, but if you really listen to them and study the perfect lyrics, you can hear all of the real emotion she puts into them (for example the song "my everything" is about her grandpas passing) and to be honest there is not one single flaw in her voice, she can go low, high and sounds breathtaking in every word she says. She is many peoples idol, and inspires many of her fans (us arianators) to do things as she is such an encouraging person. She supports woman's rights, gay rights and overall makes the world a better place.

She has a 4 octave range and she can do whistle tones. I don't get why people think she can't sing, she is an amazing singer. You can not like her "higher pitched" voice but you can't say that she can't sing or is overrated cause she is a REALLY good singer.

There is seriously nothing about being able to hit high notes, amazing singers can hit extremely low AND high notes... Like Beyonce.
Ariana Grande is just normal, nothing special, my 10 year old sister can sing like her

7 Christina Aguilera Christina María Aguilera is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known for songs such as "Beautiful", "Genie In A Bottle", "Fighter", "Hurt", "Dirrty", "Your Body", "Lady Marmalade", "Reflection", "I Turn To You", "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" "What A Girl Wants", and "Candyman".

Kids who don't know history?
Yeah, that's why Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin and Sarah Brightman are ahead of Xtina.
A couple of years ago on a T.V. special, 65-year old Aretha blew Xtina and Mariah Carey off the stage at the same time.
Aretha clearly did it on purpose, because she had this evil little grin.

Some of the most powerful vocals I have ever heard, definitely deserves to be over Katy Perry. She truly has a lot of talent.

Christina should be top 10, easily. Must be the kids voting who don't know any history.

8 Katy Perry Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, professionally known by her stage name Katy Perry, was born on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California. She is a singer, songwriter, actress and an ambassador on one of the most popular companies of now, UNICEF.

10 Barbra Streisand Barbara Joan Streisand, known professionally as Barbra Streisand, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and filmmaker.

First of all Barbra is number one.you must be joking katy perry and even better Nicole scherzinger ahead of the best voice ever outside of opera.let us not forget sarah Vaughn and ella fitzgerald and nina simone. it is not only the voice but how a song is crafted with nuances.

Number 19? only Aretha Franklin I can see ranked ahead of Streisand. it should be 1.Aretha 2. Barbra 3. Ella 4. Whitney 5. Karen Carpenter

Mariah, Aretha, Celine, Christina, and Barbra should be in the top 5. like seriously

Love Norah she could sing the phone book and make my heart melt.

15 Amanda Mair

Chithra is angelic in the literal sense, as a sound engineer I listen to many good voices, but few that can take you to another place, Chithra is one of the few.

16 Amy Lee Amy Lynn Hartzler, known professionally as Amy Lee, is an American singer-songwriter, classically trained pianist and composer. She is also the lead singer to the Arkansas band Evanescence.

She has a beautiful voice, and unlike most singers, can make her voice high and low accordingly. She is not much famous just because people nowadays want to listen to singers like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

Amy Lee has one of the most haunting voices I've ever heard. shocked that a few generic pop pricesses have been voted above her to be honest even at Whitney who also had a good voice early on but Amy is something else.

This singer needs no band she has the best voice I have ever heard she can sing the rest can they sing her some yes but not all.

Nicole Scherzinger! This girl don't play!

Why the hell is Ariana Grande higher then Mariah Carey? She yells, Mariah sings! And KATY PERRY?! This is a joke, you people CLEARLY don't know real talent.

Why Taylor and Ariana are higher than Mariah? She has a great voice, a great talent and she much better than Taylor and Ariana.

How in the world is Ariana higher than Ms. Carey?!?!? I agree that Ariana is a great singer but Mariah makes her look like a noob like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift when they r compared to Ariana... So yeah :P

24 Celine Dion Céline Marie Claudette Dion is a Canadian singer and businesswoman. She is best known for her song "My Heart Will Go On", which is the main theme of the 1997 film Titanic, which was the first film to gross $1 billion at the box office.
