Top Ten Final Bosses in Video Games

The Top Ten
1 Yami - Okami

This boss battle is long, but god, is it rewarding. The final adversary of this game completely contrasts the Oriental mythical setting of this game, seeming to be a subtle metaphor for technology gone too far. Yami is very mechanical and alien and has an atmosphere of "wrongness" - the source of all evil you have faced in the game up until this point. Your hope is slowly drained as over the course of the battle your powers are drained away. And just when all seems lost, one of the most kickass themes in this game's beautiful soundtrack ("The Sun Rises") plays, you regain your powers, defeat the Lord of Darkness, and restore peace to Nippon. Hell yes, I love Okami.

2 Malus - Shadow of the Colossus

So many feelings and epicness during this fight. One of the few bosses you kill with regrets.

3 Jubileus - Bayonetta
4 Gehrman the First Hunter - Bloodborne

How was Gehrman not on this list in the first place?

5 Sans - Undertale Sans or Sans the Skeleton is a character in the 2015 RPG Undertale created by Toby Fox. He is a lazy, pun-loving skeleton who is a supporting protagonist in the "pacifist" and "neutral" routes of Undertale, and a heroic antagonist/final boss of the "genocide" route. He is known for his incredibly difficult... read more

I'm guessing genocide? Because I've only seen neutral, and he doesn't fight you in neutral.

This fight is amazing! How is it only #15?

6 Asriel - Undertale Asriel Dreemurr is a character from the 2015 game Undertale. He was created by Toby Fox.

Asriel is the child of King Asgore Dreemurr and Queen Toriel, but he seemingly passed away prior to the game's events. His backstory is only focused on in the True Pacifist Route, which means the player does... read more

Did you really just put both other final bosses ahead of him? *Headdesk*

7 Clockwerk - Sly Cooper

I am Clockwerk. You dare deny my right to be better than Yami. I know where you live, all of you! I had the most epic PlayStation 2 final boss. Respect me all of you! All competition shall be eliminated, and the only best final boss will be Clockwerk. If any one of you is a subscriber of Luigifan00001, please tell him to make a fourth season for Total Stuffed Fluffed Island, and to make a plush of the Fiendish Five and I. Go Meta Knight, win season 3. Either him or Magolor.

The story and the build-up for the battle against Clockwerk, as well as the battle itself, were incredibly well done.

8 Ganondorf - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Ganon (Referred to as Ganondorf in human form) is a fictional character and the central antagonist of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series. He is a power-hungry Gerudo who possesses the Triforce of Power and aims to conquer Hyrule with the remaining Triforce parts.

Nothing beats Ganon. Also, this list, in general, sucks.

9 Hades - Kid Icarus Uprising
10 Bowser - Super Mario Galaxy Bowser is the main antagonist of the Mario Bros. Franchise. From kidnapping Princess Peach to simply destroying a fun game between Mario and Friends in the Mario Party spinoff series, this king of the Koopas has set up a certain hatred towards himself amongst the large cast of Mario Characters. He first... read more
The Contenders
11 Baby Bowser - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Baby Bowser, referred to simply as Bowser, is the infant version of Mario's arch-nemesis Bowser, and the main antagonist of the Yoshi's Island series.

This battle is nothing short of threatening. Baby Bowser looms in the background, inching nearer and nearer, but you can stop his approach by throwing massive red eggs. And the music? OH MAN, THE MUSIC!

12 Isshin - Sekiro
13 Soul of Cinder - Dark Souls 3
14 Gwyn, Lord of Cinder - Dark Souls
15 Senior Armstrong - Metal Gear Rising
16 Majora's Mask - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
17 Vergil - Devil May Cry 3

This is the most honourable and well-executed final battle I've ever faced. How is it so low?

18 Xemnas - Kingdom Hearts 2

This fight is the definition of epic and God-tier.

19 Red - Pokemon Silver Red is a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town, Kanto. He is the first character to be playable in the Pokémon series and his initial appearance is set in the Generation I main games.
