In the mid-2000s, Vanilla Ninja had notable success in several European countries with songs like "Tough Enough", "Blue Tattoo" and "Cool Vibes", the latter of which was the Swiss Entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 (due to their manager and producer being Swiss). In some European countries, Vanilla Ninja were huge in the mid-2000s. Their albums "Traces of Sadness", "Blue Tattoo" and "Love is War", and their singles, were hits. Their music was all over T.V. and got much airplay, and teenagers had their posters in their rooms. When they performed at concerts or music festivals, they crowd would go mad and sing along. In 2006, they went on hiatus that STILL goes on as of 2016 (they released a single in between though). After that, they were completely forgotten. None of their songs became classics, they have no more airplay, and hardly any fans left. Often, even when I say their name or play one of their songs, that doesn't ring a bell to most people that are old enough to know them.
And if I didn't happen to have known them since I was a young child, I propably would have never discovered them.
