Top Ten Funky Songs That Make You Groove

The Top Ten
1 Super Freak - Rick James

One of the best songs ever. This guy sold millions of CD/Albums/Records and should be in the rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Then again... maybe he is just to cool to be in there.

One of the best songs of all time...period!

She's a very kinky girl!

She's a super freak!

2 When We Party (Uptown, Downtown) - Jay W. McGee

Yes, It is always better when everyone is included. "No matter where you come from we'll make sure you have fun". No overproduction and arrogance here. Sometimes simple and all inclusive is just better. But this song is from 1982 and everyone seemed not to really care about where you came from just wanted to have fun. This is just a real groove that, well still just sounds so funky today as it did in 1982. This groove does not need glitz and overproduction to make it funky. It's original FUNK!

Why just funk uptown when you can funk uptown and downtown. Great funk here!

That's is what old school is all about

3 Superstition - Stevie Wonder

Comparing Stevie Wonder against Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson is like comparing the Beatles against One Direction.

Actually comparing most of these artist to Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson is like that.

Oh myy, that groove and funk in this songs.. and mainly, that energy!

4 Pick Up the Pieces - Average White Band
5 Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson

Why? All of the songs listed under are original and this song steals from many of them especially the Gap Band. By Steals I mean in the way that it is not original but just something to bring back a sound using the sound of others. You can put this song in the list but its horrible to put it above such original and ground breaking artists that truly started something. If it were not for every artist below this there would be no Uptown Funk. Let's face it every song under is true funkiness. This is ok but the true classics are funkier and make you truly groove. No if and or but's.

Really deserves number 1 position
