Top 10 Best Video Games to Speedrun
Speedrunning is a unique and exciting way to experience video games. For those who are unfamiliar, speedrunning involves completing a game as quickly as possible while adhering to a set of rules and constraints. This can include skipping cutscenes, exploiting glitches, and performing precise maneuvers to shave off precious seconds. It's a highly competitive community with players constantly striving to improve their times and climb the leaderboards.
For all 120 stars or just to complete the game and/or just to complete the story, although I consider that I guess that all 120 stars could be just to complete the game as well! Yeah, I can't do this because of Mario Wing over the Rainbow and other hard levels that will probably stop me from getting all of the stars and/or reaching Bowser and /or reaching the final boss Bowser!
Tons of different categories that work differently but all require amazing movement, making for an entertaining playing and viewing experience.
The reason Super Metroid is the best is because there are so many options for speedrunning, and new methods are STILL being discovered with the latest method being the "moonfall" glitch/trick discovered 23 years after the game's release. A rich speedrunning community makes this the best game by far.
Pretty obvious to be honest. More routes through the game than you can count, and one of the games directly responsible for the rise of speedrunning.
Every time I hear the word speedrun. I think of Super Metroid... Kill the Animals!

HeavyDonkeyKong, it's not that hard and you can speedrun this game. There are speedrun in just a half hour
It's great - once you've done your first playthrough and you have a vague memory of the puzzles you can jump straight in with no strats and still get a 1 hour speedrun which will improve very quickly.
My favorite game to play, but speedrunning it is the best thing to watch! especially Majora's Mask!
A lot of categories that take different amounts of time, and really fun to play casually and speedrun!

4-minute speed runs... I'm just saying.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Isaac) is a fairly challenging game that, on average, takes about 75 minutes to beat for most players. Even professional players sometimes take that long. So speed runs of 10-20 minutes or less are pretty cool.
It's vague what "best" refers to here, but I sincerely believe that Isaac is the best game for speed running based on three factors: 1. How quickly it can be speed run, 2. How enjoyable it is to speed run the game, and 3. How well it facilitates speed running by providing players with the necessary tools.
Isaac is a fast-paced game, and when you go even faster, it's usually because you're more powerful and have awesome weapons to defeat your enemies. The game's power-ups are random and varied. So if you get lucky, the game could give you the most powerful items, which allows players to win in 4 minutes.
