This is a musical masterpiece. Rob Halford may have done if the best lyrics in any song. Nobody should forget the classics like Iron Maiden Black Sabbath Metallica Megadeth and so on
This song deserves to be in first place I had never heard a better 1st solo in my life.
The of fastest and heaviest song judas priest song
The second solo is awesome. So is the first one. Scott's drums rule. Rob rips it like no other. Ian Hill, well I can't hear the bass on the album so.V57 Comments
Two awesome solos supporting strong lyrics makes it a masterpiece.
I personally find this track to be the band's Masterpiece. So much of Priest's work is overlooked by the fans, in favour of their more well known, more "metal" tracks. But this is Classic, and so very distinctly; Priest.
I was never into Metal for the Headbanging. I was in it for the great writing, and lucrative sound. The sound envelops you, and delves into your being. A trait born from the history of Psychedelic/Blue Rock; a Precursor to Heavy Metal.
This song is first followed by Victim of Changes, Then Painkiller, Hellion Electric Eye and then You've Got Another Thing Comin'.
Glenn's solo in this one is one of the best guitar solos in rock/metal history.V25 Comments
MASSIVE Judas fan and this is by far the best song to rock out to with friends as well as a strong vocal performance from Halford supported by a great rift combo of KK and Glenn
This is one those short-metal-songs that get's the job done. Pure guitar & vocals sync. It should be 2nd.
You people have obviously not heard any other Judas Priest songs. With choices like Saints In Hell, Victim Of Changes, and Screaming For Vengeance to name a few, you vote for Breakin The Law? DANCE TO THE TUNE? I'm gonna be sick!
It's Judas Priest raw. And it's great, every time I'm listening to it.V20 Comments
This song gives the listener a huge understanding of the metal in the song just the best metal song of priest and rob's voice unbelievable.
The Hellion Intro is just gives you those heavy metal vibes that shows you what Judas Priest is all about. After The Hellion, This kick-ass electric sound comes in and and you get the sudden urge to headbang! It defines Heavy Metal.
This song is the quintessential JP song. They play it at every concert, usually the first song along with the Hellion. Pure genius!
Lead off song in concert. Why?V15 Comments
The live version is better than the version on Sad Wings Of Destiny (also my fav JP album), but even that one is better than all their others. My List:
1. Victim Of Changes (Sad Wings Of Destiny)
2. Beyond The Realms Of Death (Stained Class)
3. Electric Eye (Screaming For Vengeance)
4. Painkiller (Painkiller)
5. You've Got Another Thing Comin' (Screaming For Vengeance)
6. Revolution (Angel Of Retribution)
7. Dreamer Deceiver (Sad Wings Of Destiny)
8. Breaking The Law (British Steel)
9. The Ripper (Sad Wings Of Destiny)
10. Screaming For Vengeance (Screaming For Vengeance)
Great drums, guitar rythmn, vocals, and length. One of Judas Priest finest works.
Absolutely LOVE this song (although PainKiller is my ultimate #1), great intro and lyrics by Halford make this song incredible, along with the drumming. My Top 5:
2. Electric Eye
3. Victim of Changes
4. You've Got Another Thing Comin
5. Living After Midnight
Heavy metal at its finestV7 Comments
All songs in the list are great, this is the first judas priest song that I heard, in the Grand Theft Auto vice city radio station and I love it
The whole Screaming for Vengeance album is great, but this one really stands out! It is Priest's best, most enduring metal anthem. If you disagree... You've got another think comin'!
I love this song but it's only second to 'Beyond the Realms of Death'. But 'You've Got Another Thing Comin' still needs to be in the top 5! It has a more mainstream sound but loses none of the grit and toughness associated with Priest and metal in general. Riff has gotta be the best specific part of the song for me, quickly chugging the song forward, but is also super catchy... EXCEPT for the bridge: "In this world we're livin' in we have our share of sorrow," Amazing vocals by Halford, he puts so much emotion in those two lines and at such a high pitch. Makes me sing along every time!
This is my least favorite Judas Priest song. Why? It's overrated, one of those mainstream radio songs, has nothing good to it, and the bridge was pretty bad. Not only that, but it keeps us from listening to great songs such as One For The Road, Victim of Changes, Tyrant, Sinner, Exciter, Beyond The Realms of Death, Delivering The Goods, Before The Dawn, Metal Gods, Screaming For Vengeance, Freewheel Burning, The Sentinel, Ram It Down, A Touch of Evil, and One Shot At Glory. - ElectricCorpseSlayerV10 Comments
I really don't think my father knew what to say when he found his daughter in her little floral dress aged 10 and rocking out to this... Definitely proud.
Simply amazing, has every aspect of a godly metal song and always gives me goosebumps
rob really rips it up on this song
No comparison, best opening riffs :PV22 Comments
I love this song. It's a perfect song to listen to if you're out in the woods partying with buddies at 120 at night. I like this song so much, I consider it my theme song, since I like to stay up late at night anyway. Off the record I think it's an awesome song for powerful drug dealer's, like tony montana (yes I know, he's fictional) I think it's a good song for any human spirit.
Great rhythm, great guitars and super vocals - a famous masterpiece!
Live version in Seminole arena... Just amazing. I love Scott Travis he is a very fast drummer.
Pure Rock and Roll!V1 Comment
" THERE'S MANY WHO TRIED TO PROVE THAT THEY'RE FASTER BUT THEY DIDN'T LAST AND THEY DIED AS THEY TRIED! "
I do think most of their 70s albums had their best songs. This list should be filled with their 70s output, other than painkiller.V4 Comments
I think this is not a song because judas priest legendary band. nightcrawler music, guitar, vocalist is so horror most of the horror film I watched but I cannot scared but nightcrawler I scared. I don, t know what kind of band they are make. One last thing judas priest is the metal of god. Judas priest is the essential for a music. judas priest is different from another band. iron maiden also making a horror band but it cannot be make like a judas priest because judas priest druming, guitar very original and different from other. In earth no body can touch to judas priest in band. You are metal god. I think born to known the world what is music. In whatever topic you make it is legendry. I think you are the end of a music and you are god of metal
I feel like you meant to say a lot of positive stuff, but I can't exactly tell, so I'm not going to vote your comment up or down - dubsinthetubs
And now what?
This is an excellent song, feel the electric guitar grinding the hell into pieces, awesome vocals corresponding the drums... and of course I won't say a thing just try qnd you see.
I love this song and album. It's the best metal album of that year hands down
This judas priest song is awesomeV4 Comments
The album and song that my friend played for me that got me into Priest in 83. Still my favorite Priest album overall.
A heavy and speedy song. Excellent playing all round. - IronSabbathPriest
Should be in the top 10. Its one of my favorite Judas Priest songs, rivalring Freewheel Burning and Painkiller with the greatest Judas Priest solo, and Rob Halford's vocals. - ElectricCorpseSlayerV2 Comments
Not just a great song by a great metal band, but a brilliant song on every level. The vocal qualities Halford exhibits in this song, the sheer range, and the transition between a clear, beautiful voice and an artful sneer make this song a classic.
While Painkiller has the awesomest guitar solo ever recorded, this song has the best singing in any metal song ever. Rob Halford is incredible.
What a haunting song, this one is similar to Beyond The Realms of Death. Same atmosphere, similar tone, similar and both underrated guitar solo by Glenn Tipton.
Easily the best. - Alpha101V8 Comments
Come on! 15?! Get your stuff right people! Sure, painkiller, breaking the law, the sentinel, and all those are great too, don't get me wrong, but this is the first Judas Priest song that when I heard the first time, I was truly blown away by the guitars, the vocals, and everything. This song is exciting, has wonderful instrumental skills, and is undoubtedly one of the Judas Priest's very best songs! Vote up people!
First song on defenders of the faith if this song didn't exist I wouldn't has the best riffs and chorus There is a way that when I listen to this son it takes over me Oh and it has the best music video Nothing in the world could make this song better than it already is. Thank You - macrox16
The first 4 songs on defenders of the faith is probably the best 20 minutes of true heavy metal recorded up to that time. this song is the first of that epic sequence and it will surely stand the test of time.V1 Comment
This is a metal masterpiece... A touch of god JUDAS PRIEST are the best! This song is so underrated it must be at least in the top 3.. The guitar solos are incredible..
TOP 3 FOR SURE... METAL MASTERCLASS... Great composition by Judas Priest
One of the best song they have
Best song they have. Very energetic and full of power. Better than breaking the law for sure, that's such a dumb (musically) song, I think this is a bit more complex, as the hole painkiller album is, so I preffer it much more.
I love this song!V9 Comments
Love the mood of this song. Deep combination of machinery & atmospheric sounds. You literally dive into this song.
Why is this song 12th?! It's their 2nd best song.
My top 10:
2) Turbo Lover
3) Electric Eye
4) Breaking The Law
5) Beyond The Realms Of Death
6) Victim Of Changes
8) You've Got Another Thing Comin'
9) The Sentinel
10) A Touch Of Evil
This song is highly underrated. It should definitely be top 5 on this list.
So much to love about this song. Different sounds, great music video, defines open-road biking and how it feelsV6 Comments
Seriously? This is not top 5 seriously?
I discovered JP with this song, it's the definition of awesomeness.V4 Comments
Cause its on ram it down not many have heard this, but they played it on their epitaph tour and was one of the highlights of the night, anyone who calls themselves a priest fan has to know this song.
This song screams epicness. Literally, Halford's voice is so intense. Whenever I listen to this song, I feel I can do anything. For me personally this is number 1. It should at least be in the top 5 though
What the hell is this song doing so low down? This has to be one of the best song of JP. Such awesomeness, such an epic song. Hell yes m/
Easily top 10, absolutely chillingV2 Comments
If Black Sabbath's Symptom of the Universe wasn't the seed of thrash metal, than this certainly was. - joshapkin
Awesome song with great vocals, guitars, and killer, lightning fast drums. This song was also a huge influence on thrash metal, along with songs like overkill and symptom of the universe.
Such a masterpiece from Stained Class! Can't believe it's 20th. Deserves to be top 10 if not top 5 for sure
Why in Rob Halford's name is this not even in the top 20!? - joshapkinV3 Comments
What's wrong with this list, putting Judas Rising here?! This song is the epitome of heavy metal. Brash, insanely fast, divine riffs... Everything about this song is pure genius. This is by far one of their best songs. It's just so damn heavy! Please, allow your ears the privilege of listening to this, and THEN vote. Cause this is DEFINITELY better than almost the entire top 10.
Oh my, Judas Rising rotting here?! The ultimate Judas Priest song with the most epic riffs, heaviest beats, most energetic vocals and the BEST chorus of all time is placed 16th?! This is the biggest insult to Judas Priest and their insane album 'Angel Of Retribution' that's one of the most legendary metal albums ever.
And Angel is 13th?! Another shocker! The Metal Gods are not pleased, enough said.
Come on, listen to this masterpiece of music. Just Epic! Only Painkiller is maybe better.
This is Judas Priests best song. What is it doing here. This is nuts.V3 Comments
