The Contenders: Page 4XW

61David ByronDavid Garrick, better known by his stage name David Byron, was a British singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist with the rock band Uriah Heep in the early 1970s.

The original Uriah Heep vocalist - no one comes close, except maybe Freddie Mercury, but that's it!

62Geddy LeeGeddy Lee Weinrib, OC, known professionally as Geddy Lee, is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the Canadian rock group Rush.

One of the greatest, most versatile and rangy singers of all time. No reason for him to not be in the top 10. Just listen to "The Pass," "2112," "Xanadu," "Tom Sawyer," and "The Garden." He's a legend.

Rush is a great band, but honestly I think the vocals are a bit annoying. So I don't think this should be as high in the list or just in the list at all.

Geddy has to be in the top 10 with Mercury, Plant, Bon Scott.

63Robbie WilliamsRobert Peter "Robbie" Williams is an English singer, songwriter and actor. He was a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995 and again from 2009 to 2012. He has also had commercial success as a solo artist.

He should have stuck with singing rock songs

He has the perfect voice for rock

Julian Casablancas has a truly unique voice. Very beautiful too.

65Miles Kane
66Gerard WayGerard Arthur Way is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and comic book writer who was the lead vocalist and co-founder of the American alternative rock band My Chemical Romance from its formation in September 2001 until its split in March 2013. His debut solo album Hesitant Alien was released more.

Gerard Way was the one who always made me happy when I'm sad. He just the most amazing person ever. When it come to his voice to his personality.

Great singer, author, artist, husband, father and just overall an amazing person.

67Steve MarriottStephen Peter "Steve" Marriott was an English musician, songwriter and frontman of two notable rock and roll bands, spanning over two decades.

One of the best ever. Rock, and soul, he had it all.

I look at this list and laugh. nobody has the soul of this man. he was an original. everybody on this list learned from watching and listening to steve. just ask 'em!

First comment is absolutely correct. The hero of all grest vocalists!

68Patrick StumpPatrick Martin Stumph, known professionally as Patrick Vaughn Stump, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, actor and music critic, best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, pianist and composer of Fall Out Boy, an American rock band from Wilmette, Illinois.

It hurts so much to see Patrick Stump at number 91. He is absolutely AMAZING. Even if you're not a fan of Fall Out Boy, you have to admit that Patrick Stump has an incredible voice.

Adam Levine and Patrick Stump should be at the top!

Wow, Patrick is WAY too underrated.

70Brad DelpBradley Edward "Brad" Delp was an American musician, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock bands Boston and RTZ.

I don't understand why he's not in the top 20. He doesn't appear on any list which is ridiculous.

Like to see someone else hit those high notes on more than a feeling!

Boston's late front man deserves to be on this list.

Top five rock singer...#111 is an insult!

71Jack BruceJohn Symon Asher "Jack" Bruce was a Scottish musician, singer and songwriter known primarily for his contributions to the British supergroup Cream, which also included guitarist-singer Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.

Listen to his extensive work beyond Cream. For starters listen to "never tell your mother shes out of tune", incredibly effortless vocals around high c range, natural phrasing etc.

72Brian JohnsonBrian Johnson is an English singer and songwriter. Since 1980, he is the lead singer of the Australian rock band AC/DC, with whom he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. As of April 2016, Johnson is not participating in the remainder of the Rock or Bust World Tour due to hearing more.

She was knocking me out with those American thighs... Do I need to say more?!

Trying to sing along with songs I like, The two I Could never come close too was Brian Johnson and Steve Perry! Those two each have a vocal range that Cannot be Duplicated!

74Bruce Springsteen

Um. Duh. Born to run, born in the usa, Santa Claus is comin to town, blinded by the light, thunder road, lucky town, etc. This guy should be #1!

75Robin Zander

Totally underrated, unbelievable range and still has "it" at 62 - just saw him two nights ago.

No one can nail "I Want You to Want Me" like Robin Zander. He shouldn't be number 75.

Just listen to the first album, and gonna raise hell on dream police

76Joe CockerJohn Robert "Joe" Cocker was an English singer and musician. He was known for his gritty voice, spasmodic body movement in performance and definitive versions of popular songs.

All can say is Soul! Rest In Peace Joe Cocker

Very few singers could overpower a band as big as Mad Dogs & Englishmen. Such an amazing voice.

77Brendon Urie

This list is mostly full of older singers. The reason why people like Brendon Urie are this low is because no one will look past legends like Freddie Mercury. I know Freddie was amazing (as I am also a fan of Queen), but some of the newer artists are just as amazing. Brendon has an incredible voice, and I think more people should realize that.

78Steve Walsh

Kansas gets no love anywhere - it's insane. Steve Walsh - definitely top 10

79Benjamin OrrBenjamin Orzechowski, known as Benjamin Orr, was an American musician best known as a singer, bassist and co-founder of the rock band the Cars.

Ben was badass! He was the voice of the Cars...
Something a lot of folks don't realize. Loved his voice!

I just love him. He was a great singer, a great guitarist, and a complete angel, inside and out. A great musician and a great person. It makes me sad that he died in 2000 from pancreatic cancer. R.I.P. sweet Ben. You will be missed by many.

Benjamin was the total package: talented, humble, sexy, funny. #BenjaminOrr #neverenough

80Joe Elliott

Joe Elliott has such a distinctive, gravelly voice! In his prime his upper register was incredible and the lower register that he introduced on the Slang album was just as impressive!
