Hardest Songs to Play on Guitar

The Contenders: Page 4XW

61Hatebreeder - Children of Bodom

One of the most underrated songs out there. Lots of speed picking and sweeps and the whole song is generally extremely hard to play.

62Inside the Fire - Disturbed
63Hangar 18 - Megadeth
64Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

Incredibly easy to play song in my opinion. Still badass song, and people think you're actually good if you play it.

The solo isn't hard, its advanced but not the way over the top

This song isn't as hard as it sounds.
The first few chords are a little stretchy, but it's easy to get. The first two acoustic parts can be a little hard to get, then a power chord, and easy major/ minor chords, then a solo, not the hardest song, the first song I learned on acoustic. - Plonderss

65The Lemon Song - Led Zeppelin
66Para Mexer - Animals As Leaders
67Star Spangled Banner - Jimi Hendrix
68Smooth - Santana
69A Late Summer's Rain/schizophrenia - John Petrucci

The most shredtastic song on the planet. Just listen to the whole thing. Starts out soft and builds up to an extremely intense shred!

70Bodhisattva - Steely Dan
71Perpetual Burn - Jason Becker

Why is this song not only not in the top 3 but it is not even on the list?

72Stash - Phish
73Tetragrammaton - The Mars Volta
74Burn It Down - Avenged Sevenfold
75Cry for Eternity - Dragonforce

So many guitar solos, pretty much impossible to play the whole thing without messing up

76Never Going Back Again - Fleetwood Mac

Unless you have more than 4 arms, you'll be having a hard time picking this song.

77Plug in Baby - Muse
78Hallowed Point - Slayer
79Freewill - Rush

The solo could stump Van Halen. No question about it. Did Eddie Van Halen play in weird time signatures with 2 other musical virtuosi? Nope.

80Welcome Home - Coheed & Cambria
