Top 10 Heavy Metal Bands That Are Not Satanic
A lot of heavy metal bands get accused of being satanic by ignorant closed minded people. Heavy Metal is not satanic. Screaming and loud instruments do NOT equal to satanism. A lot of these bands on this list have never killed anybody, nor do they condone or encourage bad behavior in their fans. They're normal people like you and me. There's actually Christian Metal believe it or not. Now that's very satanic indeed right? WRONG!My point is that you people should stop viewing Metal as a tool of Satan and that it's a terrible influence on society. You don't have to like Metal, just don't go around saying that all Metal is satanic.
If you want an actual satanic band, I recommend you check out Gorgoroth. Now that's a satanic band.

Some of these commenters are mentally ill it would seem. The list clearly says NOT satanic. Idiots.
To the guy who says that they aren't satanic, read their actual lyrics and DO YOUR RESEARCH moron. I could break down the meaning of every single Iron Maiden song from 1980-1992 for you and can explain much of Bruce Dickinson's solo albums as well. While they aren't a satanic band, Bruce has gone from being a deist to more of an agnostic since rejoining Iron Maiden back in 1999 and his lyrics have gone progressively downhill since then. It should said that although he isn't a satanist, Dickinson does have a fascination with the occult. You can hear such on his solo albums The Chemical Wedding, Accident of Birth, and Tyranny of Souls as well as the Iron Maiden albums Piece of Mind and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. However he doesn't worship the devil and never has as far as I know. He has even had a few almost pro-Christian songs and all members of his solo band from 1997-99 wore crosses. Steve Harris, who writes most of the groups lyrics seems to have Christian roots if nothing else. ...more

The band was first named "Lucifer's Heritage" but they specifically changed it to prevent any reference to satanism and pull away from the Black Metal scene. So no, definitely not satanic.

The absolute BEST heavy metal/hard rock band, ever! My personal favorite! True, they are NOT satanic! They have songs that deal with both good, and evil that permeate life in this world. Their song "After Forever" tells us to "Just realize, before they criticize, that God is the only way to love"! Yeah! That's REAL satanic, ain't it!?

Slayer isn't satanic at all. Tom Araya is Catholic.
This is clearly made by a bunch of fundamental Christian conspiracy theorists that think every thing that's not about Christ, it automatically makes it "satanic". As far as I'm concerned, who ever made this list is ignorant to what Satanism really is. Slipknot is a whiny-emo band, not a satanic band.

I don't think Overkill is really a satanic band at all I mean think about it Overkill they're talking about people we talked about too much killing the meaning think about it and some of the lyrics I've been studying that to they're talking about people who turn away from God or choose their own mistakes in life nobody holds a gun to your head and tells you to go believe in Satan come on
