Coldplay have pretty much saved my like- it's the least I could do to vote
Definitely underrated in terms of his influence on pop especially in the 70s. He is the key musician that made the use of piano so relavent in the rock and roll scene, as before that piano was considered at best niche. Up to this day he continues to influence many musicians especially new talents to give them the confidenece to pursue their goals (one example is how he kept guiding Eminem, and also trained Adele to be able to sing live without getting nervous).
His melodies are timeless and provided lots of inspiration for artists who want to master how to create very memorable hooks. His influence on British culture has been recognized as he is the first musician to receive the Brit Icon award.
For me whenever I think of piano rock and roll, I think of him first and foremost. He knows how to really control the flow of piano with the flow of his singing and the matches it expertly with the flow of the song. Any piano pop song I always compare it to his works as the gold standard.
She influenced primarily all modern artist I can't fathom why she isn't in the top 20 or at least 30. Her smooth tones and not to me tion her acting career.
Her style and class still influence artists today
Really? She's not in the #top20 or even in the #top40? I really couldn't live without hearing a little bit of Aaliyah...P.S. this is the same person who did the first one for Rihanna... And you're missing Mary J. Blige...
She is the most influences person in my life. She has showed people that there is more to life sitting there and waiting for your dreams to come true she is saying if you want your dreams to come true then make it happen. She has gone though so much that I look up to her in my life.V1 Comment
She should be top 10! She is the songbird supreme and that should be enough to describe what an amazing vocalist she is. She has one of the widest ranges in the music industry today and has produced, wrote and changed the music industry to what is it today. Many artists are inspired by her it's sad how underrated she is on this list
Not even mentioning her range but her influence in hip hop and pop changed the music industry! #18 number #1's and 250+ Million records sold.
She influenced way too many vocalists she should be in the top 10.V2 Comments
One of the first hardcore bands, and one of California's best. So influential!
This guy paved the way for rock, pop and of course, jazz music. If it wasnt for his Carnegie Hall concert, There would be no rock music. No he was not a rocker or a popstar but with his swing music he paved the way for more popular music genres to come. Thank this guy for everything - AlbertAngrySami
successful singer and actress - Alexandr
I'm almost angry that these fantastic artists are ranked so low, especially with the influence they still have on the modern culture
Why are they so low what the heckV1 Comment
He should honestly be number 1 this docent make senseV1 Comment
Classical plus hip pop music and unique style of dancing
She is such a positive examples to young girls and even boys on bullying. She also wrote a book which is like a devotional so I think she could be higher
