A great champion in 19th century boxing, Frank Erne won the World Feather Weight title from American black boxer George Dixon on November 27, 1896 at the Broadway Athletic Club in New York on a 20-round points decision. He hold on to that title for four months. Then on July, 3 1899 he took on Kid Lavigne for the World Light Weight title and after 20 rounds, Frank won the title via points decision. It wasn't until the 21st century, where his legacy as a boxer was finally rewarded when in 2020 he was posthumously inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
