This list doesn't make all that much sense because if someone is important enought to have made this list than that says something.

Basically this is a Troll's list.
Incongruously mixes together pop culture figures, politicians, sports figures, and even [strangely] a couple of inventors.
Besides the fact that the list does not define what makes somebody "important", it seems to have been created simply to elicit comments of disagreement.
Sounds to me like a disgruntled student in a Junior High School history class who doesn't like doing homework.

The start of modern music as we know it begins with him. He opened the doors at the world for black singers ( race music like they called in the fifties was not accepted by a racist white america at that time ), inspired most of the singers after him, he can be concidered as the inventor of the sexual revolution... so many things came after him because of him. He's too important to be ignored on a sociological level like one of the comments is saying here! Doesn't belong on the list!
