Best Male Singers

The Contenders: Page 9XW

161Tom JonesSir Thomas Jones Woodward is a Welsh singer known by his stage name Tom Jones. He became one of the most popular vocalists to emerge from the mid-1960s.

I have seen Sir Tom Jones 137 times in Concert and the man known as "The Voice" has the strongest, most versatile voice that could sing ANY genre that I have ever heard Live and that includes Elvis, Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Michael Jackson, Englebert, McCartney, Joel, Elton, Buble etc

Anytime I've heard Sir Tom sing with another male vocalist, he always makes them sound very inferior. If this was a knockout battle Sir Tom would be much higher up this list, if not at the top!

After all is he not called "The Voice" for nothing!

He should be in the top ten

162David Guetta

Why on earth is David Guetta higher on this list than Ryan Tedder?
Does Mr Guetta even sing

163Julian Lennon
164Mick Hucknall
165Tobias SammetTobias Sammet is a German musician. He is best known as the vocalist and primary songwriter of the power metal band Edguy, as well as the founder, main singer and bassist of the metal opera Avantasia.

Very addictive voice. Tobi is a master - great tenor, long sustain, beautiful screams. My fave songs - Nailed to the wheel, Sacrifice, Mysteria (by Edguy). - Metal_Treasure

167Adam GontierAdam Wade Gontier is a Canadian musician and songwriter. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for Saint Asonia, but is best known as the former lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace.

We're talking about Adam Gontier here. Enough said!
All the others are there because they are either famous or were involved in classic rock, not Hard Rock like Adam. He is the best singer ever. His live performances often surpass the studio versions. He reeks of awesomeness and quality!

Adam Gontier is such a great singer and is pretty versatile. He sings with such emotion both in studio and live, and is amazing at both. He is definitely better than a lot of pop artists on this list - I don't know why he's so far down on the list.

I'm seeing comments about him having a range of 4 1/2 octaves - what notes are in this range (for example, B2 to A4 - I'm not saying that is his range)? I can't find anything other than "low tenor to high bass". Thanks! - noname

Adam Gontier has the most beautiful, shiver inducing voice. I just can't comprehend how it's possible for him to not be higher up on this list. Clearly, you all need to listen to some Three Days Grace, and listen to his beautiful voice that just screams with all his emotions. I don't mean to bash singers like Michael Jackson, but I could never get into their voices. They never made me feel like Adam's voice did.

Really how is adam so far down on this list his voice is amazing the only good thing about the list is Justin Bieber is lower than him

168Hyde (L'arc-en-Ciel)

Hyde has an amazing vocal range... And the quality of his voice is just something that is perfect not only for rock music but also for any genre of music. Listening to him blows me away...

With his amazing near-4-octave range (low E in Evergreen to High-High A in Hitomi no Junin) and rich velvety voice, Hyde ought to have been more widely-appreciated by the rest of the World!

Low and sensual, high notes with a strong vibrato, powerful ballads or fast rock songs and so on. It's all the same, he has the best voice. with a sense of interpretation that can't be better.

He has such amazing wide-range long-reach beautiful voice that makes me think that his voice is really a God sent. Lucky me to hear that kind of voice!

169Eddie VedderEddie Vedder is an American musician, singer and songwriter best known as a member of the rock band Pearl Jam, with whom he performs lead vocals and is one of three guitarists.

Best voice! Should certainly be on the top 10! I go to tons of concerts and his solo concert with just him up there singing and playing the guitar was one of the most incredible concert experiences ever! Totally pulls you in with his depth and unbelievable voice! People vote for Eddie... His voice deserves the top 10 without a doubt! Just go see his solo concert and you will see... I promise!

not only is he a powerful baritone, but he's incredibly expressive - vwade8

Eddie Vedder is THE package. He's got range, soul, and lyrical skill. Yet RAPPERS like Eminem and Usher are ahead of him. Usher uses autotune, which should immediately disqualify him.

His voice is deep you know, much deeper than singers above him in the list with all due respect, his voice makes you feel deep

170Al Green

Simply put he has the best voice in the world. Justin Timberlake wants to be him but there is only one Al Green - The King Of Soul

Yes, he should be higher. This guy is one of a kind. You could fill a Hall of Fame with the singers ranked below Justin Bieber, come on folks, let's move some of these people up!

171Serj TankianSerj Tankian is a Lebanese-born Armenian-American singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, and political activist.

If you've an appreciation for voices, listen to something by System of a Down. Look, it's fine if you dislike that genre, but his voice is nothing short of flabbergasting. I'm confident anyone can appreciate this man's talent. In that vein, Shavo Odadjian also of System of a Down.

He is the best on the world! Enough said

You have all these other singers who don't even hold a candle compared to Serj at like 15 yet here Serj is at 155? These votes must consist of young fools who consider auto tune singers to be real... how sad.

Serj is best singer serj is 1 rank

173Jason Mraz

umm... hello. Jason Mraz's new song 'I'm Yours' has swept across the world like a tsunami. His unique style of singing is incomparable to other male singers. His songs all delve deep into what life is all about. Even before he struck worldwide fame with the aforementioned song, almost all his shows were sold out. What else needs to be said?

He should be the best singer ever in the world I think... But I wonder why he is down beneath this list? His voice always makes my days become lighter... And he is quite famous... Please vote for him... I'm a big fan of Jason Mraz...

Yes, I actually liked I'm Yours before radio played it to death. But that is not to diminish Jason, who is a terrific singer/songwriter with other great songs like I Won't Give Up and Living in the Moment. He deserves much higher, really.

Jason is PERFECTION. Amazingly soothing voice, meaningful and beautiful lyrics, fantastic melody. What else do you need. He is, at the moment the best singer in the world bar none.

178Bob DylanBob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, artist and writer . he won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2016 .

Absolutely agree. Technically he's terrible but other people sing his songs and it's always missing something. No less an authority than Graham Nash said Dylan was "absolutely my favorite songwriter and absolutely my favorite singer".

Seriously, nobody writes them like Bob, and nobody does Dylan like Dylan! Greatest songwriter of all time! Greatest singer of his all together incredible songs!

Bob dylan may not have the best sounding voice, but its very expressive. who else could have done the "how does it feel? " in like a rolling stone like bob did? - RecklessGreed
