3 WS wins in the past 5 years, I get it. The Giants are good, but not as much as the Brewers and Athletics.

2 Oakland Athletics This MLB team is part of the American League West division and represents Oakland, California. With a history of World Series championships, their home games are played at the Oakland Coliseum. The team's colors are green, gold, and white.

With one of the best rotations in the MLB, they are off to a great start.

4 Baltimore Orioles The Baltimore Orioles are an American professional baseball team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Orioles compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the American League East division. They play their home games at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

The Baltimore Orioles seem to be a team of destiny this year. Even with the loss of their All-Star catcher, Matt Wieters, early in the 2014 campaign, they've been able to get the most out of that position, with Todd Hundley and Caleb Joseph. They've also suffered temporary setbacks to injury, with key players, at various times of the season, but have always been able to get production from others being platooned, to fill the void. The long and short of it is that the Birds of Baltimore are for real, and are playing great baseball, as we approach September. They are by far the best team in the AL East, probably the strongest division in baseball, and the last time I checked, had a 7.5-game lead over New York and an 8-game lead over the team north of the border.

5 Milwaukee Brewers This Major League Baseball team competes in the National League Central division and represents Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Home games are played at American Family Field. Renowned for their signature Barrelman mascot, the team's colors are navy blue and gold.

They're fierce this year... Heavy hitters, stealing bases. They have strong starting pitchers with powerful relief.

8 Boston Red Sox The Boston Red Sox are an American professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts, that competes in Major League Baseball.

So what if the Yanks won 37 World Series? The Red Sox have better records and some better players.

Yeah, they won last year's World Series, but now they are not doing very well.

9 Anaheim Angels The Los Angeles Angels (known as the California Angels from 1965 to 1996, the Anaheim Angels from 1997 to 2004, and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 2005 to 2015) are an American professional baseball franchise based in Anaheim, California, near Los Angeles. May I ask why the number 1 seed team in the National League is only number 12 on this list?
