Epic definition: 'to be heroic in grandeur or scale'. Sorry to pop your bubble folks, but Tool epitomise the dictionary definition of the word 'epic'. All the rest is just wishful fanboy thinking. These guys own every band on here for intelligence, ability, grandeur, and scale. The only thing more epic than Tool is the decade-long wait for another bloody album. The Gold Standard.

A somewhat better version of Manowar, embodying the same Epic Metal sort of concept, with crushing guitars, double bass, keyboards, screaming lyrics about battle and glory, etc. Check them out, "Invictus" is a pretty good album.
