Top 10 Most Meaningful Songs

This list is based off of pure meaning and lyric's that go deep into your soul.

The Top TenXW

1Imagine - John Lennon

This is for sure the most meaningful song on the list. If you imagine the world that we live in like the world John Lennon is telling us to imagine it like, its perfect. The world that we live in is cruel, full of hate, racism, murder, and war. The world that John Lennon sings is tells us how we should want the world to be. In his song there is world peace, and everyone is living together as one people sharing the world. If you listen to the song and imagine the world how he says you would know that I'm right. R.I.P. John Lennon

It's realistic, overall something people need to realize. It covers violence issue and I don't understand while people judge, this will go into that also, it's more then just a songs it's a meaningful poem about realistic life things.

I cry when I listen to this. The world is filled with so much hate and anger. Even though we think it would be great to have a perfect world it wouldn't. We would never know what happy is and what sad is so we wouldn't truly be happy. I <3 John Lennon

I love john legend

2How to Save a Life - The Fray

I really love this song. I've suffered with depression for four years and nobody believes that I do so I can't get help. I've thought about committing suicide more times than I can count and this song, as well as music in general, made me want to live. I credit this song with saving my life.

This song has got me through some dark times over the years especially when I want to kill myself and when no one believed nor cared that I was suffering depression. I would put this song on repeat while I slept and in the morning I would feel happy. The lyrics are so powerful.

I absolutly love this song, the lyrics are just so meaningful, anyone can relate to them which ever side you might find your self in, you know exactly what this song is tring to through.

This is a great song to listen to if you are sad and need something to cheer you up

4Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

I played this song on the guitar because it's a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very good song.

Although I do agree with Imagine as being number 1 this should defiantly be second, this song is beautiful and full of meaning a master piece I would say.

This song needs to be higher on the list. There is so much meaning within the song that one can't interpret all of the thoughts within.

This absolutely fabulous song at least should be second on this list not fourth

5Man In the Mirror - Michael Jackson

It just gives one of the greatest messages of life, "change yourself and the world will look a better place"

JB, what the heck!
Now, to be honest, I was never really a big fan of MJ, but this song is just so meaningful, his best!

Energy combined with love, honesty and good will. After the very beginning, striking with decency, he starts praying in remorse, shouting for justice and ends in intimacy. I love it!

Love this song! It's inspiring and has a good message

6Hell Above - Pierce the Veil

Pierce the veil really put meaning into their lyrics and express their feelings through songs, I hate it when people put labels such as 'emo or goth or screamo' if they listened to what the music were about then they'd actually understand.

This band makes music that's relatable unlike other artists such a Justin beiber or Nikki minaj, no disrespect but what's so special about the words 'baby baby baby oh like baby baby baby oh' and Nikki's lyrics 'beez in the trap bee beez in the trap' like what do they even mean?

They've helped so many people through so much it's unbelievable and they don't follow society's idea of perfect or normal and that encourages people all over the world to speak up and not be afraid to be themselves and not be ashamed of who they are, in my eyes Pierce The Veil are true idols and heroes...

Pierce The Veil is a very inspiring band. They helped me through a lot in the past and they deserve to be voted. I will never stop listening to them. And for the people who judge rock/metal, it isn't "screamo" you don't even listen to the lyrics. Those lyrics speak out to people who are going through what the song is describing. Don't judge what you don't understand.

Not only is Pierce The Veil an amazing band, they're all really down to Earth. I met them at the World Tour, and they did great live. This song was the opener and it was amazing live. You could tell this song held a special place to Vic (The lead singer if some of you don't know) and that's honestly the best part about the band. It's wonderful knowing these words hold a meaning to them, and that we can all relate to them in one way or another. Never judge Pierce The Veil by their style, they're one of a kind.

Love this band and song

7Earth Song - Michael Jackson

We gotta stop killing things.. And thatz what the song is all about...

Level of awesomeness is at its apex!

The worst part is the fact that we DO know what we are doing, and have done, yet we don't stop.

This song explains how the world is falling apart as we know it, and it's all our fault. Worst part is that we are completely oblivious of what we are doing.

I love the message this song gives, even though it's sad, it's true and I just wish people could see what their doing wrong and change!

8Angel - Jackie Evancho

Pretty heavy stuff for the young lady but she melts your heart when she sings it. - BobG

This song comes into my head regularly,
Jackie's version is outstanding!

Great song sung by the most beautiful voice in the world. Jackie is now only 15 what great thing will she do in the next 5 to 10 years? Wait and see.

9Radioactive - Imagine Dragons

The lyrics to this song have so much depth, just by reading them anyone can see the message that is ment to get across. Its intense!

From a musical perspective, this band (Imagine Dragons) does a remarkable job of: incorporating the bass, changing dynamic (how loud a section is played) and emphasizing parts of this song. It gets your heart racing, and urges you to turn it up loud. This is exactly what a revolution should do. Kudos

My all time favourite song. Such a haunting and deep melody with dark but catchy lyrics. The lyrics make me feel like I can take over the universe. Excellent!

This song got me through the toughest of times, I can't thank Imagine Dragons enough

10Wings - Macklemore

This Song is more than beautiful and it shows off how cruel society became. Everybody cares about being popular and rich even though that's totally not important. Great lyrics.

This song is great Becuse what he's singing about is true I've been through things like that and I think it should be a bit higher on the list

I've loved this song for so long and every time I listen to the lyrics of the song it shows me so many point of this century and memories of me trying to fit in and now that I actually have good shoes I notice that they are not why I have friends

It's really cool how instead of rapping about how cool he is and how much money he has, he sings about things that actually benefit others.

15Second and Sebring - of Mice& Men

This song is so relatable due to my grandma dying and my first tattoo will the '&' with the lyrics 'this is not what it is only baby scars, I need your love like a boy needs his mothers side' on my leg over my scars. My grandma was like my mother.

Very amazingly touching song and a band that I personally listen to every day. The songs about the death of his mother and is honestly something you'd never forget.

Of Mice and Men is so inspiring! Lyrically I can relate to so many songs.

16If Everyone Cared - Nickelback

Nickelback has some really inspiring songs, and this is definitely one of them. I think its a really relatable song. I hope that one day we really can see the day that nobody dies. Amazing song, truly. <3 Thank you for this Nickelback x

The lyrics to this song are just... I can't describe. This song gives me the chill. "If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride. Then we'd see the day when nobody died. "

This song is amazing. The lyrics not only are deep, but have so much depth and emotion. It talks about how screwed up the world, if everyone cared, we really would see a peaceful land. I love this song.

I find things song is really so inspiring. It shows me a way I would like to live.

17Seize the Day - Avenged Sevenfold

Their songs are the best. I promise you that there are not like others, they're unique in their way. The first time I heard this song was a few years ago and I instantly fell in love with even though I don't like the genre. But as I listen to it more, I realised that bands like them write good lyrics. Some of them help people who are in suicidal.

Amazing song... Should be a lot higher... - sam117

18They Don't Care About Us - Michael Jackson

This song just shows that no matter what they say (the government) they care for no-one. Don't trust politicians, and don't trust easily.

This is an amazing song

Such an inspiring song. Just goes to show that the illuminati and the government shouldn't be trusted

Tears and emotion. That's all I can say.
