41 Nirvana Nirvana Nirvana was an American grunge band that was formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana disbanded after Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994. The drummer of the band, David Grohl, went on to start the Foo-Fighters, an alternative rock band. ...read more.

Their music is really dry and tasteless not much feeling to it. I find it depressing when I listen to their music, in my opinion they are seriously overrated as a band and as musicians. Kurt Cobain is not that great of a guitarist (junkie, tried to commit suicide 5 times by intencional overdose, finally doing it by a shotgun to the head and many other things that caused me a terrible impression), Krist Novoselic is an average bassist (but has a very boring style, doing everything that the guitar does), and then there's Dave Grohl. Out of those three Dave is the only one that has my respect he is an amazing drummer. Nirvana and the rest of the grunge movement killed thrash metal just when it had become popular and had taken down the travesti glam metal movement (this is not intended in an offensive way, I am only supporting my opinion)

If all the people in the world had a good taste in music this wouldn't have been here in this list not even at 47.

Nirvana is the best. Kurt Cobain is great with the grungy vocals, Dave grohl and krist novoselic are great with drums and bass too.
Although half of Nirvana's fans are posers buying Nirvana t-shirt and hitting the streets but when you ask them they say "no I just like the shirt" exc...
Nirvana is not overrated as you think it is. Don't believe in those posers.

In my opinion, his music might not sound like anyone else' on the radio, but most of his songs just sound like a different version of "The Hills" to me. I don't discredit this guy and whatever he's done, I just think he should do more in terms of creativity and originality.

The first time I saw a band photo of Slipknot I thought they were some Gwar style comedy metal band who were making fun of wannabe-tough guy nu-metal. With the masks and the 9 bands members I thought their was no way this band was serious, it had to be a joke.
But no, they were actually a real band.

In my opinion, Slipknot is not a good band. But somehow, everybody is talking about them. I don't know why- They are very over-rated.
