Top Ten Most Powerful, Skilled Jedi and Sith From the Star Wars Films

Note this is only from the six films, not from the books or games.
The Top Ten
1 Yoda Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars space opera franchise created by George Lucas, first appearing in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back. He is portrayed by Frank Oz.

Yoda is the best. Some things he did are: he defeated Darth Bane, he was more powerful than emperor Sidious, he is one of the 8 Jedi Grandmasters ever, he can freeze people with the force, he defeated Dooku, one of the best swordsmen with almost no effort, he unlocked the path to immortality with the light side of the force, he doesn't even need a lightsaber to stop force lightning, he could tell when order 66 was happening, in episode 2 he saved a lot of important people in the jedi order by saving them with the gunships. That is only the last around 100 years of his life. Think what he he might have done in his first 800 years when in his prime.

Yoda by all time is the most skilled Jedi. He has everything, good lightsaber combat skills, strong in the force, experience, name it all and he has it. He rarely kills, as he is the true follower of the light side. He has even seen Jedi turning from peacekeepers to warriors. He is still a peacekeeper. Now the point where he supposedly lost to Dooku. He didn't, he just saved Anakin and Obi-wan. And the point against Sidious, he could just get his lightsaber back anytime, but knew that for the time being, when he knew it was just him and Obi-Wan, he should complete his duty as a peacekeeper and not a warrior, and being a visionary saw a new light of hope ahead, and had to fulfill his duty as a Jedi Master, to train a new Padawan who could defeat the Empire.

2 Darth Vader / Anakin Skywalker Darth Vader is a Star Wars character and the main antagonist of the first three original Star Wars films and the main protagonist of the Star Wars prequel trilogy under his original name Anakin Skywalker. He had been trained as a Jedi but defected to the Sith lord and Galactic Chancellor Palpatine. He adopted the name Darth Vader, and was placed in a suit after his legs were cut off and his body was... read more

Even Darth Sidious says in Episode III before his battle with Yoda "Vader will become more powerful than you or I." He is the chosen one, more force sensitive than anyone ever before him, he killed Sidious (accomplishing a feat that even Yoda couldn't, defeating the Emperor), Dooku (which Obi-Wan was unable to do on multiple occasions), Windu and could have easily killed Luke multiple times during their battle on Cloud City in Episode V. He let luke defeat him in Episode VI because he couldn't bring himself to kill his own son and he ended up saving him in the end. Yes Obi-Wan did defeat him in Episode III but there are a few problems with that, one Obi-Wan had the advantage of higher ground, two Anakin was not at his prime yet, he was still young, confused and over confident in himself, had Anakin been at his peek he would have won. Many people believe that Yoda could defeat Vader, that is wrong, I personally own a book of Star Wars "What if? " battles pitting different characters who never actually battled against each other. One of those duels is Vader vs. Yoda, it says that Vader's strength would over power the small Jedi master and despite his agility, he would still lose. Last but not least, Anakin is the Jesus of Star Wars, Qui-Gon asks his mother "Who is the father? " to which she replies "He has none" the conclusion is that Anakin was born of the Force. The Force is Anakin's father, like God was Jesus' father, he is the Chosen One who had to die to prove to us that there is good in this world.

3 Darth Sidious Sheev Palpatine (also known by his Sith identity Darth Sidious and publicly as Senator Palpatine, then Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and later Emperor Palpatine) is a fictional character and one of the primary antagonists of the Star Wars franchise, mainly portrayed by Ian McDiarmid.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis "the wise"?
I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.
The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.

Although it seems as though he lost to Mace Windu, he was clever enough and not driven so much by arrogance so to appear weak in order to manipulate Anakin. He remained hidden as a Sith Lord to the entire Jedi order until he revealed himself of his own accord. While many will argue that in the films he appeared to be lacking in power and unable to survive being thrown down a shaft, I think this is purely because it is a film and most if not all of the lore would have been made after the movies, which I guess would have explored the force to a greater extent than what was apparantly within Sidios' grasp, making him seem underpowered. However, much of the way that sith work is though manipulation, which could explain why Sidious didn't want to destroy Luke entirely if he had the chance to lure him into to killing his father and draw closer to the dark side.

4 Luke Skywalker Luke Skywalker is a fictional character appearing as the central protagonist of the original film trilogy, and as a supporting character in the sequel trilogy of the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. He is portrayed by Mark Hamill.

Okay, people:
1. George Lucas is the creator of Star Wars.
2. So basically, he is the god/supreme being/omnipotent force/ultimate
Arbitrator of whatever goes down in Star Wars.
3. So basically, whatever he says is official, canon material that no
Other source can rebut, disprove, or otherwise naysay in any way
Whatsoever.
So. following off that previous logic:
1. George Lucas said that Luke Skywalker is the most powerful Jedi ever.
2. Therefore, Luke Skywalker is the most powerful Jedi ever.
As for the most powerful Sith, you can draw your own conclusions. However, if Luke Skywalker is the most powerful Jedi ever, that would render him more powerful than such notable Jedi as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, and Jedi Grandmaster Yoda. And if someone is more powerful than Yoda, then I'd be willing to bet that they can whip just about anybody's ass, just about anywhere, just about anytime in the Star Wars Galaxy.
G'day, folks.

5 Obi-Wan Kenobi Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, played by Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.

There is no way you can convince me that any other jedi or sith (from the movie franchise) is a better fighter than Obi. Sure, Yoda and Sidious maybe more force-adept, and Mace Windu may have been a stronger saber-fighter, but Obi-wan is still top tier in both categories. Just take a look at his accomplishments: Killed Darth Maul in one-on-one combat (becoming the first jedi to do so in 1000 years), defeated Count Dooku, killed General Grievous, defeated Anakin Skywalker who he trained and became one of the most powerful sith, and trained Like Skywalker, who defeated Darth Vader. Nobody else on this list deserves the #1 seat more than Obi-wan Kenobi.

I believe that Obi-Wan was the stronger Jedi through time, since you could say he achieved what Yoda achieved and in less time. Even in his last fight was clearly more powerful than Vader and his death was clearly to help plot and was the kind of "deaths" that shows the character HAS TO go...while exceptionally powerful characters exist, in order to balance things out most writers do this.
Kenobi was a beast in both swordsmanship and force strenth...but the same you can say about Yoda, or Vader or anyone else in the list. The thing is, if you analyse him...he has a point that others don't have or have to a lesser extend. He is more intelligent and combined with his wisdom and saber skills...he is nearly unmatchable. Clearly my no1, with close (very very close) 2d Yoda.

6 Mace Windu Mace Windu is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the prequel films.

His battles against Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith, are the only appearances that he makes fighting in the movies, and they do make him stand out because he could defeat Sidious, even though I think that Sidious could have sensed Anakin and gave up in order to make him believe that the Jedi were evil and fully turn him to the dark side. Mace's appearances in the Clone Wars make him the most bad-ass Jedi as he defeats his enemy without a problem. That is all canon material, about some legends mentioned material, he is the only Jedi that masters the 7th form of lightsaber combat, further refining his skills. Being able to borrow some dark side techniques, he can easily take down a sith lord.

Are you kidding?
He has a purple lightsaber because his actor wanted one but in the story only the Jedi that are powerful enough get a purple one. This means him and Revan are the most powerful star wars characters ever. Vader's only ahead of this guy is because he's famous. I could've killed Palpatine. People say that Palpatine let him win so Anakin would fulfil his potential but no. Mace Windu was going easy on Sidious at the start because he thought they could easily kill him. But when the emperor killed his comrades he realised his power and went his most powerful on him. You can tell Mace was beating the emperor because when he tried to use force lightning but was strained so he couldn't. Windu would've easily killed Anakin but he didn't expect him to attack - Unnamed Google User Remade

7 Darth Plagueis Darth Plagueis is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. Originally a Muun named Hego Demask, Plagueis trained under Darth Tenebrous. After he murdered Tenebrous, Plagueis, mentored a young Palpatine. Palpatine eventually joined Plagueis as his Sith apprentice. Plagueis was strong with the Force, possessing the ability to save others from death and to utilize midichlorians to create life... read more

Darth Plagueis could stop who ever he wanted from dying and could create life. He has mastery of both the light and dark side. His mastery of the force is beyond what any other Sith Lord or Jedi Master has managed, even "The Chosen One" (having the most midichlorians means most potential, not that he necessarily used it; to get the full potential of his midichlorian level Anakin/Darth Vader would need to hone his skills for hundreds of years, but his life was cut short. By cheating death, Plagueis was able to make full use of his potential). Palpatine had to *try* to kill him while he was asleep because he knew he was no match for Plagueis, but Plagueis was aware of the attempt on his life and actually survived it (it was actually master manipulation, a sign of his power in the dark-side force). Presumably he was able to block his force from being sensed by Jedi such as Yoda as well.
-yes, this is mostly conjecture

8 Count Dooku Count Dooku of Serenno, from the House of Dooku is a fictional character from the Star Wars franchise, appearing in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith as a primary and minor antagonist respectively. He was portrayed by Christopher Lee and voiced by Corey Burton in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Clone Wars.

Dooku is one if the most skilled swordsman in the entire galaxy I consider him equals to yoda. And in the clone wars he faught Anakin Skywalker and Obi wan kenobi with one hand behind his back. And fought the night sisters lead by ventress while his senses were dimming has anyone else in the Star Wars universe done that, I think not.

Count Dooku was extremely old for his species and he was able to defeat several Jedi at a time. He could hold his own against the legendary Master Yoda and defeat Obi-Wan with Anakin in Attack of the Clones. Dooku could also project force lightning which few Sith could accomplish in the Star Wars movies.

Dooku should be 5th. He beat Obi Wan, was considered to be the best lightsaber duelist of the Jedi Order along with Yoda and Windu in his time. Anakin defeated him and it's obvious Yoda and Palpatine are above him. Windu is equal to Dooku, so that makes Dooku 5th in my opinion.

9 Darth Maul Darth Maul is a fictional character in the science fiction franchise Star Wars. Trained as Darth Sidious's first apprentice, he serves as a Sith Lord and a master of wielding a double-bladed lightsaber. Darth Maul debuted in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and has made subsequent appearances in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Darth Maul was a badass. He used flashy skill sets and survived a 2v1 against Kenobi and Jinn. Shortly after he killed the jedi master and had the "higher ground" against Kenobi. He could've killed him but waited leading to his down fall... literally. But somehow he survived and was his usual badass self again.

Darth maul was the only Sith to molest young anikin without getting caught. He was the only one that was able to defeat Captain Kirk and Spock before the clone wars even started. Darth maul was also the only master that could shuffle a deck of cards with one hand.

I mean he took Down a professional bounty hunter at age 14 don't mention he took down a bounty hunter school. He got cut in half and survived. Then he kills 1 more Jedi. Defeats the deathwatch rules a planet. And takes on Sidious. Man...

10 Darth Revan Revan is a fictional character in BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video game. The character may be either male or female, though Revan is canonically male and follows the game's light-side path. He also has his own Old Republic book in which he is a male human, turned Jedi, and turned Sith.

Revan had experienced both the light and dark side which very few had. He defeated Madalore the Ultimate and nearly killed The Emporer who (I personally think was th real most powerful) ruled the entire Empire and all of the sith. His connection the force was incredible, likely on par with Yoda. He was one of the best strategists in the Old Republic Era, if not ever. Very few (likely no) others this list can do any of these things, which proves that he is easily among most powerful/skilled Jedi or Sith ever.

Darth Revan is not the most powerful Jedi/Sith to exist, no sources can prove otherwise yet. However, his military strategies remove the need for even Battle Meditation, he has a deep understanding of both the Light and the Dark side that no other Jedi or Sith is known to have, he has a vast array of skills other than force-use and lightsaber skills and would be a tremendous asset to both the Jedi or the Sith, as he has proved. So overall power no, but overall skill, yes.

The Contenders
11 Qui-Gon Jinn Qui-Gon Jinn is a fictional character in the Star Wars saga, portrayed by Liam Neeson and is one of the main protagonists in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

My opinion is he's one of the bests. He could of easily defeated Maul. He let Maul win to teach Obi-Wan a lesson, which Obi-Wan repeated for Luke. I'm not saying he's the number one most powerful Jedi but I am saying he's definitely wise, extremely smart for studying the Living Force, and there's no denying that he's a badass. He's a maverick who does what he needs to do, even if it means disobeying the Jedi council if he feels it's the right thing to do. Without Qui-Gon, Luke wouldn't of been able to become a Jedi so rapidly, nor would any Jedi have knowledge of becoming one with the force after death. Once again, just my opinion.

Qui Gon Jinn discovered the Chosen One, discovered the way to retain your identitity even after death, and trained yet another of the greatest Jedi ever, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Even though he was killed by the first Sith Lord he ever encountered, in the same movie he debuted in, he did set the course for the rest of the saga. Even though it may be a mistake he would have regretted, he did discover Anakin and brought him to the Jedi temple, leaving Anakin's mom to later die on Tattooine, causing Anakin's first to drift ever closer to the Dark Side, and later reject the Dark Side and bring balance to the force. Without Qui Gon, there would be no story! He also was a rebellious Jedi who had very unorthodox methods and beliefs, and he ultimately became one of the most powerful and knowledgeable force users ever, even after death. If it wasn't for him, Obi Wan wouldn't have became a ghost and been able to tell Luke Skywalker to go to Degobah. That's another reason Qui Gon is very important to the story. Now that you actually read my entire rant, hopefully you too will agree that Qui Gon deserves a spot in the Top Ten, not 11th place.

12 Darth Bane Darth Bane is a legendary Sith from Star Wars. Darth Bane was one of the greatest Sith lords who ever lived in the Star Wars universe. Darth Bane's greatest accomplishment was creating the Rule of Two, making the Sith a secretive order with one master and one apprentice. The apprentice would learn everything they could from their master, than when they were strong enough, they would kill them, and... read more

Darth Bane was the first unite in his being the knowledge of the dark side and the power of the dark side of the force.

Also he was the most intuitive/receptive of his time to the way of the dark side, which prove his powerful and profound connection with the force.

He negated a full legion of sith, just because he felt inside it self the power of the dark side. That's awesome.

He knew he was right, unlike Vader, and this gives him the power to break the ice and to negate the current sith ideology.

Darth Bane stopped at nothing for knowledge of the dark side. Survived the thought bomb. All while learning it on his own through the neglect of the sith academy. Bane is by far the strongest physically hands down.

He did not create the rule of two he got it from a holocron that was recorded by Darth Revan. He wiped out the sith through the use of the thought bomb. If you want to know more read "Darth Bane: Path of Destruction".

13 Galen Marek/Starkiller Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller, was a male Human apprentice of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. A powerful Force-user who lived during the era of the Galactic Empire, Marek originated from the Wookiee home planet of Kashyyyk as the sole offspring of two Jedi Knights—Mallie and Kento Marek—who deserted the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars. Following the death of his mother, the young Marek's father... read more

Starkiller, Darth Plagueis and Marka Ragnos are certainly the most powerful of all time. Starkiller was able to use the force with unimaginable strength and power he could crush most if not any that opposed him with a force choke. on the other hand there is Marka Ragnos, who was a giant, he wielded a large lightsabre and it took the entire jedi academy at one stage to defeat him. then there is Darth Plagueis who was the most skilled force user known. he could use it to resurrect loved ones or anyone he wished. it made him immortal, he had the highest midichlorian count of all time and handed it down the his son Anakin who if had not been defeated by obi wan, would have eventually unleashed his full potential and became possibly even more successful and all together more powerful than Darth Plagueis. which meant he would have been the most powerful sith lord of all time and practically a GOD.

14 Satele Shan

Are you kidding me not should be this low on the list she should be number 3 not 14 you guys are crazy she is the second most powerful jedi ever. The only jedi that would defeat her is Yoda.

She was the Jedi Grand Master during the Old Republic era and had tremendous connection with the force linked to her mother Bastila Shan and the all powerful Revan. Enough said about that.

A Shan, doesn't get better than that does it?

15 Jek-14

He defeated yoda, mace windu, darth sidious, count dooku, and 30 other versions of himself. I guess the original is the best. He partly trained luke skywalker and saved the " group of hero's " countless times. This is why he should be in the top 10.

In Lego Star Wars, the Yoda Chronicles, episode 1, The Phantom Clone, he took on Yoda and Mace Windu at the same time and won.

Jek- 14 is the best clone trooper I no even he's a clone trooper l still love his arm he has!

16 General Grievous General Grievous is a fictional character and antagonist in the Star Wars franchise. He served as the Supreme Commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' Droid Armies during the Clone Wars. He is voiced by Matthew Wood.

The reason this guy's a beast? I'll let you dwell on this. He has no force powers. All his Jedi opponents DO have force powers. His fellow Sith friends have force powers, and those Jedi aren't shy to use those powers on Grievous. Regardless of that fact he's killed skilled Jedi left and right and as such is bar none the most powerful character in Star Wars who can't use the force.

He has four arms for Lightsabers FROM DEAD JEDI which means he has killed loads. In the Clone Wars he beats the crap out of Anakin 'The Chosen one' every time they meet until Jar Jar and Dooku screw him over also he survives longer than Dooku in the films hehe. After Dooku's Demise he becomes the commander of the separatist the biggest army in the galaxy.

He is as strong as doukou that he is a bit weaker than yoda / darth sidious but vader wins him also obi- wan killed him by luck cause he found a blaster next to him luckily and survived... UNFAIR!

17 Shaak Ti Shaak Ti is a fictional Jedi Master who appeared in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

" Shaaki TI is one of the wises jedi ever. She was able to make wise decisions for many clones and the jedi Order. However she did have her faults. Like being one of the closes jedi to clones and yet she didn't except Order 66. Not all Jedi are perfect and honestly. I would have placed her around 11.

Shaak Ti was remembered as the guardian of Felucia, the hero and pride of Shili, and best female jedi in history, considered the fourth most powerful member of the jedi council, and a wise jedi, besides being considered by Anakin a great and true master jedi.

Shaak Ti survived order 66 and was regarded as one of the most cunning Jedi as referred to by master Kenobi, she defended kimino and shili ( excuse the spelling), fought on geionisis, she had suspions about the microchip in the clones brains, she was the jedi consular and a esteemed member of the jedi high council, and personally my favourite Jedi..

18 Darth Malgus Darth Malgus is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Malgus was a member of the Sith Order during the Old Republic, and serves as an antagonist in The Old Republic video game.

Malgus is described as being able to merge with the darkside and in such a state being unstoppable.
He was only beaten twice- once by Satele after a trooper had detonated a grenade 2 feet from his face... and the other by a four man strike team consisting of either the jedi knight who single handedly defeated vitiate, the baresenthor, the best smuggler, and the leader of havoc squad- the most elite commando team, OR (empire version) the emperors hand, a lead member of the dark council, the empires best agent, and the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. And they didn't even manage to kill him so much as knock him off down a cliff where he apparently survived frozen in carbonite somehow.
He also has an impressive jedi kill list.

He is one of 3 people to master force lightning, he also killed 3 jedi with his force lightning. He killed satele shan and countless other famous jedi. He lead the successful raid on the jedi temple were he killed many jedi along with one of the head masters of the jedi order.

19 Jacen Solo/Darth Caedus

I don't see how he isn't even in the list? I know he was killed by his sister in the end but only because of bombs fetts training and being distracted by lukes mind games and the fact his daughter was about to be assassinated. Luke even said defeating him would mean he had to turn to the dark side! With some of the people on that list it's a madness haha he was a bad ass even as a Jedi, but as a sith he had the power to live up to his grandads potential if he hadn't become robo-vader. I mean the guy could flow walk? Who's gonna beat him in a saver fight really?

-he ends the vong war, save the galaxy... He starts a second civil war by trying to save the galaxy for the second time (not sure it has been a success however)
- his force abilities are amazing (combat meditation, flow walk, jedi trick on a whole palnet, invisibility in the force,... )
-he really think what the force is and try to improve the role of the force users
-He made grat mistakes because he made great deeds

20 Kit Fisto Kit Fisto is a Jedi from the Star Wars universe. A Nautolan Jedi, Kit Fisto appeared in Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge Of the Sith, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2014; 2020).

Hey at least he fought of for about 10 more seconds then those other jedi such as Agar Kolar and some other guy.
And also is awesome ill tell you that and how is he not in the top 20 at least. Last thing he lead the clones when Count Dooku was in that sphere in Attack of the Clones.

He is usually a good humored, calm guy. I mean, look at the look on his face when he sees Battle-droid-3po! When he isn't happy, he's calm, collected, and unstoppable.

I don't know what he is but I like him. He holds the lightsaber and fights with it unlike any other jedi. Also you gotta love his smile.

21 Ki-Adi-Mundi Ki-Adi-Mundi is a fictional Jedi Master in the Star Wars franchise who appeared in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

He was so wise that he could locate an enemy's weakness in second. Plus, he was the only jedi besides Mace Windu to wield a purple lightsaber.

In order 66 you could see how determined and loyal he was to kill in the clone wars and that was great. Look back and youll see

He has a nice head

22 Ahsoka Tano Ahsoka Tano is a character in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni. Introduced as the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, she is a central protagonist of both the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the subsequent TV series. Ahsoka Tano was voiced by Ashley Eckstein in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars: Forces of Destiny. Ahsoka made her live... read more

Ahsoka Tano was not the most powerful Jedi ever, but had potential to become very powerful had she not left the order. After all, she was trained by the chosen one himself. And we saw her power grow quite a bit in the clone wars series. So I don't think she was the most powerful, nor do I think she would become greater than most jedi greats (ie Yoda, Anakin, Luke) but she had great potential as a jedi and good character development. Plus I really love her fighting style and her green and semi-yellow lightsaber. So my vote is for Ahsoka.

How isn't she higher on the list? She beat Darth Maul at 16 years old for crying out loud. She survived order 66 while trapped on a ship with perhaps the best legion in the galaxy. She was a brat when she was first introduced but she soon matured into a strong and independent woman that was capable of fighting powerful sith at an extremely young age. Sure, she's not number one, but she definitely deserves to be higher than Rey, Shaak Ti, and Maul.

23 Saesee Tiin

Apparently he was the best jedi pilot. Shame that he couldn't defend from the emperor.

Win some lose some.

His dick was huge!

24 Rey Rey is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by British actress Daisy Ridley. First appearing as the central character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey is a scavenger who was left behind on the planet Jakku when she was a child, and later becomes involved with the Resistance's conflict with the First Order when her solitary life is interrupted by BB-8, the droid of ace Resistance... read more

She actually did what only Obi-Wan has done. Beat a Sith lord while in a padawan state (in training), moreover she was merely adapted to the force...She had no clue, just did things out of instict and anger.
On the other hand Kylo, even as sith lord, wasn't as powerful as the older sith lords...far too unstable and it was stated that he was still in training.
I believe she will be even more powerful than we expect and the same goes for Kylo Ren...

Palpatine's granddaughter. Extremely powerful, but couldn't hold a candle to Kylo during their second duel. The only reason she beat him the first time was because Kylo got injured from Chewbacca's crossbow thing. That same weapon blow holes through storm troopers.

With no training, Rey manages to master the Force and defeats the powerful Kylo Ren. The Force Awakens is saying that the Force has awaken in her. If she gets training to be a Jedi by Luke, she could turn out to be the strongest Jedi ever.

25 Anakin Skywalker Anakin Skywalker is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. He appears in the original trilogy as a main and pivotal antagonist serving the Galactic Empire, while his past as Anakin Skywalker and the story of his corruption are the focus of the prequel trilogy. Skywalker is portrayed by Jake Lloyd in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Hayden Christensen in Episode... read more

Anakin Skywalker, deserves respect. Without him, we wouldn't have Luke as a great hero or ever have the but kicking Darth Vader. Despite his good looks, he still is one of the most skilled and bad ass jedi of his time.

Should be top 5

- Master of Djem So
- Master of Shien
- Notable practitioner of Ataru and Soresu
- A level 9 duelist
- Incredible physical feats without force augmentation
- Amazing resilience
- A focused mind
- Natural talent
- Unparalleled reflexes
- Skill with telekinesis
- Tactical genius
- Fought numerous times against dark force users, gaining him a lot of experience in a dueling environment
- Defeated numerous dark force users
- Has access to strong emotions to gift him with exceptional power
- Relentless determination
- Seen by many among the jedi as the greatest warrior they had

The list goes on. I honestly think Anakin Skywalker is underestimated amongst the Star Wars fan base. Maybe because he's disliked or simply because Obi Wan Kenobi defeated him on Mustafar. However, Anakin only lost to Obi Wan due to his unbalanced emotions during the battle. This allowed Obi Wan to seek a tactical advantage which Anakin was blind to; his rage prevented him from thinking smartly as he usually would during a duel.

His dueling abilities were unparalleled in the star wars universe. Without force augmentations, Anakin was easily the finest duelist of his time. With force augmentations he was even stronger, capable of rivalling Master Windu in sparring practice.

His force abilities were naturally strong, being able to push, choke and disarm many opponents before they could blink. Although he wasn't on thew level of Master Yoda in terms of force abilities, he was still a well respected force user with the potential to surpass Master Yoda.

His experience allows him to calculate the best strategy for defeating an opponent in a duel. He can spot weaknesses and furthermore, move to exploit those weaknesses to give him the advantage.

His strong resilience ensures Anakin can take heavy hits, while being able to continue fight on as effectively as before he was hit, with only the hardest attacks being able to render... more
