61 MGMT MGMT MGMT is an American rock band formed in 2002 by Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden. After the release of their first album, the members of their live band, Matthew Asti, James Richardson and Will Berman, joined the core band in the studio.

Pink Floyd, queen, and system aren't underrated like this band is. Fleetwood mac is though, had to vote for this one cause it was way down. Another underrated band is peter bjorn and john in my opinion

Some of their best songs are the most underrate, kids somewhat cought on but I would not say that it showed their more thoughtful side.

62 Radiohead Radiohead Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments), Colin Greenwoood (bass guitar), Phil Selway (drums), and Ed O'Brien (guitar).

One of the best bands of all time and only the people from the 21st century know of oasis, the smiths and the stone roses. They don't get any recognition any more and it's quite sad in a way. Thom Yorke has outstanding lyrics and Jonny Greenwood is just on a completely different level to most musicians. And to think they've been going for nearly 30 years. Very underrated indeed.

Not underrated good but sure as hell ain't underrated

63 They Might Be Giants They Might Be Giants They Might Be Giants is an American alternative rock band formed in 1982 by John Flansburgh and John Linnell.

They Might Be Giants is one of only a few bands on this list that actually are legitimately underrated.

Lets be honest here, tmbg has basically changed the way music as a whole is marketed. - queen11

65 The Police The Police The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. For the majority of their history, the band consisted of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland.

In six years, they released five very good albums including at least two classics (Zenyatta Mondatta and Synchronicity), wrote countless chart-topping singles, and helped invent new wave. Not too shabby.

They almost invented punk. Songs like "Roxanne" "message in a bottle", and so forth were very catchy and fast paced as it made way for reggae as well

Couldn't stay alive that much but even just 6 years can describe the extraordinary(and great) style of they have - heaven

66 Blink 182 Blink 182 Blink-182 are a Pop Punk band formed in 1992. Original lineup were Mark Hoppus (Bass Guitar, Vocals) more.

Actually have a good range of playful, punk pop songs. Why they've never earned even 1 Grammy is beyond me.

Blink 182 has a variety of serious and joke songs, and Travis(the drummer) is actually one of-if not the-best drummers I've ever heard.

67 Boston Boston Boston is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, that achieved their most notable successes during the 1970s and 1980s.

Absolutely fantastic band. Perfect guitars, drums, and vocals.

This list could very well be re named worlds most popular bands

68 Crush 40

Panic! Deserves to be in top 5, all of their songs were amazing!
I listen to them everyday without getting bored... Their songs are such a masterpiece...

4? A7X is thr most underrated best drummer best gutarists and M. Shadows voice is godly their the next mettalica and there sound has been maturing for the beging and their hail to the king album is one of their best yet so then don't get the credit they deserve

71 Alice in Chains Alice in Chains Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987 by guitarist and songwriter Jerry Cantrell and original lead vocalist Layne Staley.

I will never understand why they didn't get as much recognition as they deserved. Musically astounding and lyrically brilliant...Rooster is the best song ever. Wonderful band, and still are! William DuVall gets WAY more hate than he deserves

Sort of underrated but still played on radio stations. Nirvana overshadowed them, and in my opinion AiC is definitely better than Nirvana.

I think instead of alice in chains, mad season should be on here, and way up on the list. Layne is a great singer in both bands, but aic was more popular

Hey they are food
