This man is a genius. He's great at the guitar and his music is great too. I mean, he's a legend. Too bad he's gone. He had so much talent. I wish he could come back.

Only reason not #1 (or at least near the top of this list) is because most people have never heard him - hence, why he is truly underrated. Dinosaur Jr. is just too far out there for the mainstream, I think. Still, You're Living All Over Me is an absolute masterpiece - his guitar work is unbelievable on that album. There is no other comparison to the sounds that he is making on that album (and the other early DJ albums) than to say something like, "Easily the Hendrix of his generation." And dude is still getting after it.
