Most Underrated Horror Movie Remakes

Only Horror REMAKES can be mentioned here. Please, do not confuse it with other list "Top Ten Most Underrated Horror Movies".
The Top Ten
1 Black Christmas (2006)

I wouldn't even call it remake. They changed so many lines in the storyline but as a whole, this horror movie was decent. Death scenes were really impressive

I love this movie katie cassidy was amazing and she is very likeable this movie is very underrated.

2 Dark Water (2005)

Not that scary but very emotional, sad, creative. Jennifer Connelly showed brilliant acting

3 When a Stranger Calls (2006)

It is actually really creepy if you watch it with the lights out, at night, alone.

Camilla Belle is a sublimely beautiful and talented actress.

I love Camilla Belle's performance very much

4 House of Wax (2005)

Original was creepy but this one was good too

Good movie, quite different

Watched this movie loads

5 Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
6 Body Snatchers (1993)

The remake of 1978 became even bigger than original while this great film was very overlooked

7 The Fog (2005)

I know, many people will disagree about this film but I like it

8 Psycho (1998)

The main problem of this film was that the original one is one of the best movies ever made. Alfred Hitchcock created true classic. So, everyone hated this remake but I don't think it was that bad. It had some really creepy moments too

9 The Amityville Horror (2005)

Even original wasn't masterpiece (not even close) so why hate this one? It was decent remake

10 The Thing (2011)

My only problem with this movie is that they didn't mix CGI what practical effect. Other than that it's amazing.

It's a pretty good film.

The Contenders
11 Fright Night (2011)
12 Carrie (2013)

This movie deserves the hate, ignores the source material, the Carrie Character, Carrie's mother character, and the student characters wrong. This movie was turned into a young adult book remake of Carrie made into a movie
Edit: the director looks like he knew what he wanted to do with the ending, but didn't know what he wanted to do with everything else. Chloe makes a believable Carrie in the beginning and the end. I think this could have been a good remake if the director had put more thought into the movie: he didn't make the student bullies believable and put too much focus on the telekinesis which really hinders the movie, he also didn't do as well to make Carries mom look crazy yet loving which is a huge selling point of the Carrie character on long with the bullying from the popular students. The director opted to have Chloe talk about how they mistreated her instead of showing us

This film doesn't deserve any of the hate it gets. It was the only Carrie remake that was even worth watching. Chloe Grace Moretz did an amazing job as Carrie. The only reason that the original is better than this one is because Sissy played Carrie just a bit better than Chloe did.

13 House on Haunted Hill

Geoffrey Rush's performance is great despite the pretty bad acting by Chris Kattan and Bridget Wilson. Jeffrey Comb's is truly terrifying and creepy. The musical score is absolutely brilliant and immersive. One of the most underrated horror films of all time.

14 The Haunting (1999)

Not bad at all.

15 Friday the 13th (2009)
16 The Wicker Man (2006)

Nicholas Cage went so over the top with his character that he made it into a completely new movie and made it good with its awfulness

17 The Wolfman
