261Utopia

A great band with songs that stand the test of time.

262Die In Cries
263Save Ferris
264AvantasiaAvantasia is a German supergroup rock opera project created by Tobias Sammet, vocalist of the band Edguy.

This project is absolutely incredible. The albums are full rock operas full of depth, variance and unearthly composure.

265Stutterfly

This unorthodox band should be at the very top there the best. Bury Me is One Wicked Song as well as hollow and Fire Whispers. WHY ARE THEY WAY OUT HERE!

266DragonForceDragonForce are a British power metal band based in London, England. Formed in 1999, the group are known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics, and electronic sounds in their music to add to their retro video game-influenced sound.

I bet many people are going to disagree because of "through the fire and the flames." Most people think that this band is a one-hit wonder, but if you really know more about the band, you won't believe how wrong you will be. The two guitarists, Herman and Sam, were put in the Guitar World Magazine for 50 fastest guitarists, they've been highlighted on magazines for the most successful bands, and has even been nominated for the 2009 Grammy Awards for best metal performance in a song that was NOT through the fire and flames! (It was heroes of our time and They lost to Metallica :( ) listen to more songs from this band and I think you'll believe me!

269StaindStaind was a heavy metal band formed in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1995. ...read more.

Staind is one of those metal bands that I don't hear a lot of people talk about, and their music is very good. My favorite album by them is Dysfunction, and I'd suggest it to any metal fan.

They have amazing songs. All their albums until the illusion of progress were excellent. It is a shame that they are not famous.

270NOFXNOFX are an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 1983 by vocalist/bassist Fat Mike and guitarist Eric Melvin. Drummer Erik Sandin joined NOFX shortly after.
271The ClashThe Clash were an English punk rock band that formed in 1976 as part of the original wave of British punk.
272Gov't Mule

If you love the Allman Brothers Band, most likely, you'll love Gov't Mule. Warren Haynes who was a guitarist for the Allman Brothers, is the lead singer for Gov't Mule. They sound just like any other great southern rock band. The only difference is they produce music today.

Know for one hit, "Heat of the Moment". This amazing band is still making some great songs in addition to older ones. For starters I'd recommend "Only Time Will Tell", "Wherever You Are", "Listen, Children", or "Without You".

Their 1st album was epic - amazingly strong from start to finish. So good in fact, it made millions of people fans of Prog Rock without even realizing it.

275SaxonSaxon are an English heavy metal band formed in 1976, in South Yorkshire. As one of the leaders of the new wave of British heavy metal, they had eight UK Top 40 albums in the 1980s including four UK Top 10 albums and two Top 5 albums.

At #179 when I voted, how underrated is that? Great British rock band. Great songs about historical events.

276ShinedownShinedown is an American hard rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 2001 and founded by members Brent Smith, Brad Stewart, Jasin Todd, and Barry Kerch.

They'll get their Big Break one of these years! - Curti2594

Shinedown makes amazing music, okay?

280TotoToto is an American rock band formed in 1977 in Van Nuys in Los Angeles. The band's current lineup consists of Joseph Williams, David Paich, Steve Porcaro, Steve Lukather, plus touring members Leland Sklar and Shannon Forrest.

I don't understand why some are groups such as Queen, Guns N Rouses etc.. in the top of the list. They have sold more than 100 million albums, won many Grammy awards and you call them underrated? I mean, really! Toto is one of the most underrated bands of all time, together with Scorpions, The Outfield and many more. They've sold only 35 million albums to the date. They had many problems with production & lead singer what maybe caused their current status. They could be better if production let them make music they wanted and if lead singer was in the band the whole time. Whatever, besides all this, they are highly underrated. And that's the fact.
