Top Ten Music Genres that are Hated for the Wrong Reasons

The Top Ten
1 Pop

I don't completely hate it. It's gotten worse when 2014 rolled around.

I like when some pop elements are used in rock songs

They say it's satanic! No it's not! Metalheads don't understand this.

I don't hate it. I've just grown up.

2 Country
3 Rap

Seriously. You're first mistake was thinking it's music.

4 Teen Pop
5 Dubstep

Soulless, artificial noise. Good enough reason for me.

6 K-pop
7 R&B
8 Metal

Metal isn’t all satanic, there are songs dedicated to people who where killed for being goth and how it’s okay to be different (Delain - We are the Others) also for whatever reason a lot of people think all metal is, is screaming which is wrong because it’s not. If your reading this check out these epic metal bands: Rhapsody Of Fire, Kalidia, Kamelot, Delain, Eluveitie, Delain, Kobra And The Lotus, Black Briar, Haken, Ayreon, Powerwolf, and Epica

There are SO many RIGHT reasons. No need to mess around with the wrong ones.

Yes, I know why some people hate it. Because of some extreme metal genres. for example - black metal. when some people who've never listened metal music, they find it hard to listen these songs. but I can assure that prog metal and heavy metal will rock for them.

9 Hip Hop
10 Emo Emo is a style of rock music characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as "emotional hardcore" or "emocore" and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace.

Yes, I agree the whiny aspects of emo sucks, especially with the fans who think depression is "cool," but the old emo, such as Sunny Day Real Estate and Rites of Spring, are more happy. And no, bands like Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy are not emo bands.

How does this count as a type of music?

The Contenders
11 Classical

People say that classical music is boring. That is wrong. Classical music has a lot of dynamic contrast, expression, instruments, and more! It is so good! No repetition in melodies, I just love it!

12 Dance
13 Electronic
14 Jazz
15 Blues Blues is a music genre and musical form originated by African Americans in the Deep South of the United States around the end of the 19th century.
16 Pop Punk
17 Punk Punk rock is a subgenre of rock music. It usually has rebellious lyrics and down stroked power chords played on guitars. Bad Religion, Sex Pistols, and Green Day (actually pop-punk, which is still punk in a way) are a few punk rock bands. The subgenre influenced thrash metal because of it's down stroked guitar playing and other factors.
18 Bluegrass
19 Soul Soul music (often referred to simply as soul) is a popular music genre that originated in the African American community in the United States in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It combines elements of African-American gospel music, rhythm and blues and jazz.
20 Opera
21 Gospel
22 Contemporary Christian
