Rosalina, known as Rosetta in Japan, is a major character in the Mario Franchise created by Nintendo. She first appeared in the 2007 Mario Game, Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii and later returned for the game's sequel in 2010. Since then, she has been featured in many main-series Mario Games and many spinoffs. She has appeared as a playable character in Super Mario 3D World for the Nintendo Wii U in 2013 and is a playable character in the Mario Kart series and Mario Party series. She also has come into Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS as a part of the large character roster. She's immensely hated by everyone, she's from a bad game no one likes, she was overused by jerks and perverts... everything about her is awful
Annoying but passable in MKW (the Luma was unbearable), then the other Mario Karts made her into the new Daisy. Because we really were in need of those.
She's gotten some hate recently and isn't as overrated as Yoshi. Or Luigi for that matter.

Dry Bowser is the fossilized version of the main antagonist of the Mario Bros. Franchise, Bowser. He first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo DS after Bowser had been dumped into the lava and was left with his skeleton. Since then, Dry Bowser has appeared as a villain in games like Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros games, and similar titles. He also appears in some Mario Spinoff series, including Mario Kart. Why do people like him? He's a stupid clone that doesn't need to be there like pink gold peach.
I'm online (Mario Kart 8) a lot but I see him way too often, less often now but he's a clone!
Metal Mario is a character that appears in both the Mario series and the Super Smash Bros, where he made his first appearance in the Nintendo 64 version. He's pretty similar to Mario when using a Metal Cap, but instead of being a transformation, Metal Mario is his own character. The power-up is awesome but nobody wanted him in Mario Kart 7 and he's in Mario Kart 8!?
No one actually likes this idiot, he's just used for stats
Originating from the SNES Donkey Kong Country, in which he is the CEO of Funky's Flights, this Kong absolutely tears up the race track with a massive +4 speed and +3 off-road stat, making him the most popular character in Mario Kart Wii online play. He should be number one! Everyone obsesses over him just because of his stats in Mario Kart Wii. I have watched multiple different Mario Kart character ranking videos and all of them have Funky Kong at number one.
Remember before MKWii when almost nobody knew this guy? Oh how time has changed. They took a fairly obscure Donkey Kong character (Not Dixie or Cranky or K Rool) gave him special stats and BOOM just like that he took over Mariokart Wii online as if there weren't anyone else on the roster. Why Funky? Just Why?
He may have only been in MK Wii but his stats made him undeniably the best character in the game. But why Funky? Special stats should not have been a thing. On top of that he is Waay overused online (If you have played online you should know) a normal race will consist of at least 3 Funkys.
Ruined Diddy from being in MK8 deluxe. So overused that Nintendo stopped putting Kong characters into Mario kart besides DK himself so they added Koopalings instead. Also tortured Dixie,Tiny,Lanky,Chunky and Cranky from making their Mario kart debut. And also the return of DK Jr.
Yoshi, once romanized as Yossy, is a fictional anthropomorphic dinosaur who appears in video games published by Nintendo. Often appearing as a sidekick and helper to Mario, Yoshi is most known for his appearances in the Yoshi's Island and the Super Mario franchises. While I also think he's overrated, people here seems forget that not everyone has to like a character for their personality. He's iconic and has been around for almost so long with Mario. Plus, he makes up for his small personality by doing a lot of things that makes him likable such as being a great power-up mount, having cool abilities, and being very helpful in some games. While it's true that he's not the best character (but that's subjective on who is, though), there's more reasons why he's well-liked than just being cute.
EXTREMELY overrated. I've had enough with the constant Yoshi love. Look at all these other characters:

Yoshi - cute, powerful, bland, Mario but more powerful
Look, I love Yoshi like everyone else does, but he is WAY overrated and is not the best Mario character in my opinion. Sorry.

Bowser Jr., or sometimes simply Jr., is a video game character who appears in Nintendo's Mario franchise as the secondary antagonist. He is the youngest son of the series' primary antagonist, Bowser. He is a spoiled brat, he is WORSE than Caillou and Rosie combined on steroids. He complains about not getting an Xbox One X for Christmas, he deserves to go to hell

In the Super Mario series, King Boo is the leader of all the Boos and a major antagonist. He is an ally of King Bowser. He is depicted as a large white Boo with a crown similar to that of Princess Peach.

King Boo is only a minor character, yet he is used as a essential in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online item bullying!

She appears in both of the Super Mario Galaxy games, where she rules over all the honeybees in three different galaxies, and in Mario Kart 7 where she appears as a heavyweight unlockable driver.
