Pink Floyd Songs With the Best Lyrics
It's a great song, but not mainly because of the lyrics. The introspective lyrics are nice and relaxing, but there are better lyrics by Pink Floyd in my opinion.
Um, DarkSideofDragons, this song has the best lyrics Pink Floyd has ever done, but of coure there are thousands of reasons why Echoes is a great song
This song does have the best lyrics Pink Floyd ever had, DarkSideofDragons. At least in my opinion.
Best rock song ever, in my mind
"Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way"
" So, so you think you can tell, heaven from hell, blue skies from pain ".
"...And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon."
" There's someone in my head, but it's not me ".
" When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse... Out of the corner of my eye ".
" For long you live and high you'll fly, and smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry. All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be ".
Whoever wrote the comment below, you truly have a great taste in lyrics.
" There is no dark side of the moon really, as a matter of fact it's all dark ".
"Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us to a glimpse of how green it was on the other side"
"Our Weary Eyes Still Stray To The Horizon; Go Down This Road We've Been So Many Times"
It's quite an underrated Pink Floyd song. But Echoes is by far my favourite.
"Have you, heard the news? The dogs are dead! You better stay home and do as you're told, get out of the road if you want to grow old."
" What do you get for pretending the dangers not real? "
" And if they catch you in the backseat trying to pick her locks, their gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box. You better run! "
" Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky ".
" If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! "
"One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces".
This is a joke, right? This is instrumental.
How is this so low?
"Ashes and diamonds, foe and friend, we were all equal in the end"
